How long for the round?

10 days duration for the next round. Finals will then take place over a final 10 more days.

Important vs SgtEasy
Vordak vs Melon

---

The next round will take place in a new arena. I apparently have the map on the Surface and not my laptop (and it apparently didn't backup to my online storage), so here is the description...

The arena is a series of infinitely expanding rings among a center circle. The center circle measures 40 feet in diameter. On the east and west of this circle are two staircases leading up to the next level ring, which is raised 10 feet up from the center circle and measures about 15 feet across from inside edge to the outer edge. On the north and south of this ring, there are stairs leading up to the next level. This continues forever with the stairs alternating a north/south configuration and an east/west configuration.

Every ring has a retaining wall along it which comprises part of the 10 feet in different from the previous level's height. All of the arena is made of dirt/stone. There are trees on each side of the staircases on every level which are 18 feet tall. Torches are scattered along the outer walls of each level.

It should be noted that the outer walls are not perfectly smooth and can be scaled fairly quickly in some parts.

The further you are and the longer you stay off the ground in this arena will increase the effects of gravity on you.

:)
what's the time and post limit for round 2?

Up to 48 hours (unless prior approval is given) for a total of 3 times. Otherwise 24 hours.
I will do the round 2 matchups this afternoon. I have to help for a few things on the farm. Then I'll post map 2 and the semis will begin. Yay.

So, who gets what points here? Barti and IN got the Draw nod

Not sure how you want to handle draws in terms of arena points. For the match, neither will proceed unless someone doesn't participate in the second round.

Melon and Tuuj didn't actually go to blows. Vordak would be the only one getting points I think, since I believe SgtEasy won via timing out. Since Thar actually lost, I may have Important proceed to the second round instead. I had done a dice roll to decide that.
System so shiny.
Front page is up to date on fights. The ones that had people withdraw won't really count, I don't think.
Oh, sorry. I'm a bit busy to keep up with this tourney, so I resign from the tourney as well.

@Vordak

:( That was my favorite fight to read. I am much sad.

I can start Round 2 tomorrow if people are still interested. I have the map already done. However, I'm in the airport at the moment.
My fight is unresolved and I'd rather not take up your time when it seems like you have enough going on, so you can consider myself resigned.

Tuuj actually withdrew, so we'd just be waiting on the Altered match.
My dad had to go into the ER and I've had to return home unexpectedly to assist with matters on the farm while he recovers. In conjunction, my grandfather is also in the hospital with pneumonia, so I've been under an extreme amount of stress.

The tournament can continue for those wishing to as a private or continued ranked event in which it can be chosen to be honored by the Ranking HQ or I shall offer some kind of personal reward myself (graphics or something) as an alternative if it is decided not too. However, given some of the posts on this, I'd like to confirm the interest of those still left in continuing.

This is very delayed from when I intended to get this up, but I’ve had a busy week with some stuff at work (we have someone quitting) along with the fact with some of the recent ongoings I haven’t had a lot of positive energy directed towards the tournament.

that's a reason I don't rate most naruto characters, or bleach ones, as proper arena fighters. They are categorically designed to be stronger, especially when used in roleplays where there is little moderation.
Rilla

That isn’t true. In fact, many elements and items of your characters may not be acceptable on a number of well-run of those types of threads (Kusanagi, for example). Generalizations should be avoided.

I think most of this would be been better approached if people had asked me how I was going to enforce X ability in Y manner (or even not in a specific manner at all) rather than how it was handled.

--

As for the matters of powers, as stated previously when I reviewed the character, any wide range AoE would be enforced as having minimal damage. This will continued to be enforced as such. There is no death ball (unless you get directly hit by it and even then it could be debatable) or death waves.

Any continually maintained ability takes energy over time. The shield (and any other ability) fall under that category. It cannot be maintained forever.

There is no instant freezing, instant death, etc. The character is designed as a character to wear someone down with very limited or specific condition focused damage. You can resist the damage, even if the language doesn’t state so – that is how it will be enforced. Just like while it does not explicitly state you can resist the effects of the abilities of some of the other caster character.

I’ll go over any specific ability on how I’ll enforce if there are specific questions on them.
