Nevermind @Innue, we did sort of finish in time, ending in a double kill for Raln again. Guess it's up to you to decide our fate, although @SgtEasy said they might be too busy for the finals.

If @SgtEasy doesn't have the time, then I will let you pass onto the next round of the tournament vs Melon.
Well, I believe we changed to a shorter posting time, and Vordak is somewhat overdue.

Frankly I can't be assed to nag people anymore, if GM's can't be bothered to sort out their own threads let 'em die, this tournament should have just been scrapped after the first round shambles.

Since we are still waiting on the other matchup to wrap up (they have been generally within the guidelines (although I believe they have capped their max 3 grace periods per instructions)), it wasn't a big deal to make anything of it quite yet. Should he have returned, you would have been given the victory unless you allowed him to continue to post.

I am watching Melon - just not posting on RPG much right now. We are sort of preparing things for the funeral service.

The first round was generally fine aside from yours and Tuuj's matchup.

Tournament.
Where are we with everything?

I need the last round done and over with, soon.

I think the Championship match potentially running a bit into the beginning of your tournament shouldn't be an issue.
If possible, try to get it wrapped up by 8/21. Obviously earlier is better.

I believe you've both capped your grace periods up for posting as per instructions.
If he's still trying to get information about the Arena, then I think he'll be fine not posting.

Everything should be sorted for now I think.

@Innue

Just a quick few questions before i post: how well lit is the arena and what would be an acceptable distance from Jok to appear at?

It is well lit.

Distance should be determined by competitors. I don't have an opinion on that.

Grandpa is out of the hospital but can't return to his old facility. He likely has only a matter of months, but it won't be consuming my time anymore for awhile.
The Arena is an endless tower of ever growing rings with staircases to ascend the structure and a rock wall which can be climbed if necessary. Honestly though I'm still not entirely sure what it looks like, so I'm waiting on @Innue to post a picture or a map or something.

When I get back home tomorrow I can post a map. The device that has it is back from repairs.

To add to that, if it's a literal ring, how wide is the ring edge? And how thick is it? Sorry if it already say's that but I was wondering.

The width of the rings is in the initial description. Thickness is infinite. Consider it like a very structured pit that you don't know where the top is.
I'm still a little unsure of what the Arena looks like. Are we fighting on circular platforms with a staircase leading up to them (with an opening) or are the staircases outside of the structure and move back in. Or, are the platforms literal rings with empty space inside them, with a thin circular corridor running around the outside with walls to either side of it?

Think of it like an inverted wedding cake. The top cake would be on the bottom and then the larger cake 'circles' would have the previous layers' areas cut out of them.

Only the first level is a circle. The other levels are rings that are connected it. And no, it is not open air aside from the staircase. it is solid stone of infinite depth so you can climb it to the next level in the even that the stairs are unable to be effectively used.
Stay on a different floor.

Repeat Melon vs Tuuj

It is much easier to get to the levels than to cross some of the terrain on the last map.
How do the staircases work on what I'm assuming is an infinite tower of circles? Are they a simple straight flight up with an opening in the above circle?

Do you mean are they all connected and you could just infinitely run up stairs? If so, no, they alternate. So it'd be one set of stairs then you have to run at least 1/4 of the way on ring before being able to reach the next set.

Innue, you're brutal. I know you have to wrap this up before the next tournament, but putting me and Melon in a map with absolutely minimal cover and zero options for stealth puts me in a world of trouble. XD

You can hide easily behind the retaining walls if you dip down.
