Since it's almost certain that my character is going to bring up video games in some fashion, is it alright if I make up video games and other gaming related aspects?

Uhh just a quick question: What am I going to do since my familiar's writer can only post once a week... The familiar system seems quite crucial.

We've been discussing possible solutions for this, and we've decided that we're going to be a little more lenient with you two, as Holy Grail has a very constrained posting schedule. For you, we won't mind if you go to classes that your familiar is not in and interact with others. You will be attending Magic and Familar training with them, but all other core classes and electives, you can take without them. We're also not gonna penalize you if you can't finish interactions with them by the time the day moves on. We're going to slightly tweak the point system for Holy Grail only. Their points are going to be matched with yours, so that you aren't weighed behind unfairly.

On that note, we know that life is difficult and unpredictable, and if you feel like you may be unable to post for a while or need to take a break, notify us, PM us, and we can work out a temporary solution. :)

Please note that these are NOT romantic pairings. The sacramentum isn't a marriage contract. These are your partners, your dorm mates, and the person your grade is tied to, for better or for worse. We've made these pairings based on personality types, the offensive and supportive styles of magic and ability, stats, and backstory. If you choose to woo or philander with your partner, that's up to you.

These pairings are NOT negotiable, and you don't get a do-over. You might be buddies with your partner already, have seen them from afar, or have no clue who they are. Now's the chance to talk with your partner about prospective first meetings, inter character drama, how well or badly they respond to one another! (Fun fact: This RP was originally a 1x1, and our characters hated each other at first sight~)

For clarification purposes, when the IC starts, your characters will not be bonded yet, and will not have any idea who their partner will be. The partners will be called and made during the Ceremony of Names, which we will introduce in the IC after giving you all some time to mingle and adjust to the setting. I'm going to be including some pictures of the town and region in the Overview of Prydain, so check it sometime this afternoon! Hope y'all are still psyched!

For familiars who have physical enhancing abilities, would proficiency improve our ability or athleticism. Or would it be a mix?

It would enhance your ability. Physical abilities and athletics are not the same. Athletics is your overall fitness, and determines how strong you are, how fast you run, how long you can run without getting winded, WITHOUT using your ability. For example, if Nathaniel, a character with super speed had a 9 in proficiency but a 1 in athletics, he could run very quickly using his super speed, but without it, he’d be rather slow. The reason we decided to do it this way is because not all abilities are the same, and some athletic abilities, like resistance to poison or enhanced healing, have nothing to do with athleticism itself.

I hope this has cleared things up! We’ll get the partners list up once onenote and Errorist get the fuck out of bed get on! I’m excited too! :D

Do I wait until Kaison gets off the waiting list to put him in the characters tab?

Will I only receive his quiz results when he gets off the waiting list?

Is the waiting list strictly for replacing inactive players, or will there be a second homeroom class given enough applicants? If there will be a second homeroom class, do they never share classes with the first homeroom class?

We’ll decide your quiz results soon. We’ve been busy with getting the IC up and deciding pairings.

You will be able to join the RP in full as soon as a familiar is accepted to become his partner. You can join the homeroom and interact with the original 24 all you want. If you have not joined by the time the IC starts and people begin posting and gaining points, we will compensate your points by giving you the average of points people have accumulated so you don’t get left behind.

Oh yeah, I wanna ask about the color of our uniforms, like the blazer, the wool vest, and the skirt.

Of course! Wool vests are light gray or beige in color, to give students some variation if they want it! For the color of blazers, skirts, trousers and slacks, a dark gray with a gold trim on the sleeves, hems, and lapels. Students also get a tie or ribbon for their collar, whichever they choose, which is red for familiars and yellow for mages. Students are given socks or tights that may be black or white. The unisex loafers are brown.
