The Church is an industrial driven superpower that respects the needs of The Machine. Technology, and war machines especially are held in an almost divine light. Everything about the function of the machine gives their religion life. An all encompassing religion, very few Desandi worship anything else as it is almost illegal to speak out about the Church.

Summary: The Church of the Machine runs the entirety of the Desandi government. The Church itself is is the work of a magnitude of different systems all working together to productively move forward Church goals. The main power is held by the Archbishop holds the major power, though he confers with the bishops who in turn confer with the priests who confer with the people. The people may have suggestive power in the government, but all major decisions are made by the Archbishop or his lackeys.
Though the Archbishop holds an astounding amount of power, the Inquisition is the final authority on anything. The High Inquisitor does not normally involve himself directly in government affairs, but his position has been known to investigate and overrule decisions when not dealing with the Heretics on the battlefield.
