Lilith tipped her cup slightly over an open and fanged mouth, catching the precious last few droplets of the nectarous liquid. It would be a shame if such ambrosia went to waste. For a moment, she began to wonder about the source of said blood. It was far too sweet to be a rodent's, perhaps something larger, or at least something with a better diet... The thought trailed off into the void. Setting the cup down on her desk with a clink, she closed her eyes as a pleasant rush of vitality coursed through her head for a few seconds.

She opened her eyes in time to see one of the one of the girls she spotted yesterday, who had flown in with strange bulky objects attached to their legs. This one had curious, feathery alabaster tufts sprouting out of a head of matching hair, and appeared to have a similar fluffy tail. The girl clearly was not entirely human, unlike the majority of the students from Earth. Observing the avianlike traits, she found that it brought back images of the lovely griffons from the other day. Reaching back into the memory of the student introductions from a few hours ago, she recalled the name "Alika", or so she hoped it was that. The girl sat across from Varren, setting down a tray of foreign-looking, and frankly greasy-looking food with her.

It wasn't long until an ebony-haired boy approached Varren, an excitable look to him as he began to speak in a tongue unknown to Lilith. Judging by the befuddled expression on the scarfed boy's face, Varren wasn't having much luck either. She remembered his introduction: the boy was another Earthling, from a place called 'China'. Must be another one of Earth's nationalities. The two boys began to engage in casual conversation for some time, and Lilith silently listened along. The fellow first year sounded like one of those intelligent, formal, polite types, judging by his wordiness of speech. Unfortunately, she would not uphold that exact perception of the boy after the day had passed.

Varren began to introduce each one of the three to one another in a single breath. Lilith bashfully smiled slightly at the comment about her headwear, adjusting said hat slightly.
"Pleasure to meet you," 'Fai' bowed at her slightly after she was introduced to him in a rather amusing manner.
She responded with a nod. "Nice to meet you as well, Fai."
The boy greeted Alika as well, but with a knowing smile. Apparently, the two had already met earlier, in an encounter involving some rather terrible 'jokes.'

"You! What are the measurements of your bust, waist, and hips?"
Lilith flinched at the sudden distasteful inquiry coming from the Asian boy's mouth. "Rude.." she muttered to herself, rolling her eyes with a frown. The boy seemed to have a rather tasteless sense of humor, considering he had apparently asked Alika the same thing yesterday. Whoever that previous statement was directed toward, she hoped that they would not hear it, or she was sure some unnecessary mayhem would ensue.

"That is not something you sh- " Eyes trailing down the finger he pointed, the realization dawned upon her that the disgraceful remark was, in fact, directed toward herself. It was only a few times in her meaninglessly long life had she ever had to deal with crude words like that, let alone from someone she had scarcely expected anything of the sort from. Her normally stoic expression now appeared to be hastily plastered on, and badly too; as she locked her gaze with the offender's, her eyes burning to an unsettlingly more vibrant sanguine shade of red. She understood that it was only just the boy's rather poor attempt at being humorous, but it didn't help fan the flames of indignation she felt from its offensive nature. Gritting her teeth, or say; fangs, "You are not funny." she uttered in a calm voice, keeping her tone at a decently low level. After all, she would not want to be...rude, would she?

The next day, Lilith found herself walking along with a crowd of students as they approached the training grounds. Feeling rather apprehensive, she fidgeted with her hands as they reached the area and stopped walking. She took in the sight of the vast, open room with a stage in its center, and the wide expanse of seats surrounding the area. It vaguely reminded her of the arenas and coliseums she had read of that war-loving creatures would play in. As she lined up in an orderly fashion, she began to listen carefully to the tentacled teacher's commands. She would be part of the second-to-last group to preform. Good, plenty of time to observe the other students, and not be pressured to go first. Looking up at the center of the room, she noticed the floorboards of the stage slide open to push up wooden figures to the surface. The dummies seemed rather lifelike despite being made of wood, as they began to move about in an unsettlingly realistic patterns.

Gulping, nervousness crawled up her throat, imagining how embarrassing it would be if she were to mess up somehow in the first training procedure of the year. Being judged - and to preform in front of others - was not her most favored thing to do. Anxious to get her turn over with, she tapped a foot as she stood and watched the first group go first. She was glad she felt mostly awake and perky today - it wouldn't be too difficult to tap into her magical abilities. Although, one extremely random and morbid question popped up in her head. Exactly how many people have died around here? She couldn't help but feel curious about it. The more, the merrier.. well, actually no...
My internet keeps rapidly fluctuating between obsolete connection to not-sure-if-this-page-loaded-all-the-way-yet-even-though-it's-been-10-minutes-waitin'. I've already attempted posting a few times yesterday, for some reason the connection on my cpu just won't allow it to load. I'll be here for the rest of the night trying, like right after I say this. Apparently it'll be fixed soon. Just getting this out there before the stuff cuts out again, urrghhhhh. ;_;

Lilith took mental notes on each student as they introduced themselves one by one, leaving their impressions on her. The horde of orcs she spotted yesterday undertaking in some snow-pelting warfare had made it to class, too, apparently led by a Half-Orc named Ralthavar. A small girl from Earth who entered class late… through a gaping hole in the wall, which Mr Fernis had not blinked an eyelid at quite yet. The steel golem she had spotted yesterday appeared to be a companion to her. A childlike Gemstone with an elaborate name, and admittedly one of the more pompous introductions. A boy from Earth with an ever so slightly rustling bag with him. And Varrren’s introduction, which she knew a little about already, but was still interesting nonetheless. And the girl who had a fox sitting behind her legs, who was apparently also from this “Japan” place in Earth. The little fae dragon she had seen darting through the crowds yesterday was comically small in comparison to their chair. The class was, unsurprisingly, quite diverse in its selection of students.

After the rest of the students made their introductions, the funny limbed teacher tapped something and what she vaguely knew were ‘holograms’ formed in the air above their desks. How anything that did not employ a single thread of magic, and still create such impressive displays, was a mystery to Lilith. She took her attention to the front of the room, and listened intently as Mr Fernis dove into a long and winding lecture. She practically drank in the words that were chock full of information regarding the Black Gale and combat terms, genuinely interested in the stuff. She looked up at the roster of students as it was brought up, her gaze trailing down the list and eyeing her name next to the title of Necromancer. The word was written in a delicious red color. She unconsciously swallowed, feeling a familiar dryness at her throat, but ignored it. She quickly brought her thoughts back to the name of her combat class. Considering the treacherous nature of the Black Gale she had known about so far, she would be quite surprised if there wasn’t already a hefty amount of… er, “fodder” to be put to good use. It also was pretty likely she would become a part of said 'fodder', anyway.

Lilith's interest gradually waned as the hours passed, though she took to the lessons like a diligent student. However, it wasn’t possible to think that any student’s interest could still be retained as the time dragged on and on. She let out a tired yawn, as the blessed sound of the bells rang through her ears. An hour long period of freedom sounded like a wonderful respite from sitting at her for hours. She looked over as the teacher said something rather sternly to Varren, who sat by her. The teacher hadn’t seemed to be very pleased with him today. She let out a chuckle at the boy’s antics.

“Urm… not sure.” She replied to his question, noticing he and other students had brought up a menu with the advanced technology that the classroom seemed to employ. Looking down at her own, she felt rather unsure how to use it at first. She poked around with it for a little while, before she was able to skim through the listings of food with ease. None of it interested her. Her kind was never hungry, but she could use a little something else. She suddenly became acutely aware of a sound that she usually did not hear, a soothing, thumping beat pulsing through every warm body in the room, coursing through every little vein… Stop it! She frowned, and snapped out of the trance-like state, feeling quite disgusted with herself. Something caught her eye on the menu, and she let out a relieved breath. It didn’t take long for a single cup filled with sweet smelling crimson to be placed on her desk. Not even hearing Varren’s comment, she took the cup instantaneously to her lips, and it was bone dry within seconds.

It's okay ^_^ It's fine, i'm in a similar sitution too and i really need to get my post up tomorrow as well, I'm too tired to do it at the moment.
Yawn. Lilith's eyes were still closed, as she basked in the softness of the sheets for a few minutes. She had slept quite well well last night, after easily selecting a room in one of the middle levels of the dormitory. She had not done much with the room so far, other than put her clothes away, set up a canvas by the window, fill a small shoulder bag with supplies for class in the morning and form a stack of books at the foot of her desk. Her half-unpacked luggage still sat in the corner of the room. An uncomfortable, peculiar warmth began to crawl across her face, prompting her to open her crimson eyes groggily. The first thing she saw was light. Lots of light, ugly golden light pouring from a glassy surface... Wait, what?

With a little "eep!" she sharply drew the sheets over her head instinctively. Tentatively, she peeked out ever so slightly from under the sanctuary of her covers, peering out at the room. She seemed to have forgotten to close the blinds of one of the windows before she went to bed last night. To make things worse, it was the east-facing window directly by her bed, one that gave a profound view of the rising sun. "One of these days, I am going to burn to death in my sleep..." she berated herself under her breath as she pondered her course of action, reviewing her mental notes on precisely where the thing that shut the blinds was. She reached a hand out from under the covers, feeling around on the wall until she felt something tickling her fingers. She grasped and pulled it as she took the covers off of herself, in time to see the blinds close up and the room darken. Just like sweet home. She mentally made a note to herself to find a way to obtain a vase of roses somehow.

Lilith turned and glanced over at an old-fashioned, key-wound-up, bronze bell alarm clock sitting on a nightstand. The hands ticked to 7:30 at that exact moment, bells letting out a clear tinkling as she sat up and tapped the thing off. She got out of the bed and began to prepare for the first day of classes at the Academy. She stood at a mirror and ran a comb through her loose white hair, taking a little more time with it than usual now that she wasn't as tired as yesterday morning. She promptly slipped on her uniform, skirt and usual gloves and stockings, and fixed a similar but different sunhat than from yesterday on her head. She wasn't sure if they were to do anything outside today, but it never hurt to be prepared. Glancing at the clock that now pointed to 7:50, she picked up her bag and slung it onto her shoulder as she walked out, heading to the first classroom of the morning.

She made it to the classroom promptly, being one of the earlier students, at least compared to the others. She paused for a moment at the doors, looking for a knob or handle of some sort to open them before quickly realizing they were automatic. She walked into the room as they slid open, her eyes scanning the room and selecting a desk farthest away from the windows. She slid into her seat and sat quietly for a while, watching as more students began to arrive. The tentacle-limbed teacher at the podium seemed to be quite chipper for this time of day. They seemed to be waiting on the last student to arrive. A loud thump emanated from the doors of the room, catching her attention. An amused smile appeared on her face as she recognized the scarfed boy as he stumbled into a seat by her.

She listened to each student's introduction with genuine interest, making sure she knew the names of each of her classmates. She took note of a small, rather adorable silver fox slip between the seats and sit behind the blonde girl as said student did her introduction. After some time, the sound of her name being called for her turn to be introduced made her eyes widen. Pushing away the feeling of anxiety of knowing that people were watching you, she put on a neutral expression and shortly spoke. "I'm Lilith Ephyrene from Lucius..." She thought for a second on what she should tell them about herself, because there was little things she categorized as interesting about herself. Seeing that she was lightyears away from home, she supposed it didn't matter anymore as she finished her sentence, wanting to get her introduction over with already. "- And, er, I am of the vampire species."

She nervously let out a breath as she settled into her seat, feeling doubtful, although feeling relieved that her time to introduce herself was done and over with. She leaned on a hand as she listened to the rest of the student introductions, distracting her from her worries.
The cafeteria seemed to be teeming with students sitting scattered across the tables and the aroma of warm foods and drinks. The recognizable boy across from her appeared to be taking constant sips from some beverage, while occupied with tapping at a curious apparatus strapped to his wrist. Earth students seemed to own some of the most peculiar gadgets and gear. She could only imagine how utterly strange of a place the boy's home planet must be, filled with technology beyond her understanding. Varren's eyes looked more aware and more perky compared when she last saw him, the observation promptly confirmed when he looked up and greeted her with exuberance. ”Hey Lilith! What’d you think of the opening ceremony? I didn’t expect the headmaster to have such a character. I was expecting something more… laid back and formal.”

"Hi there, Varren." She greeted him pleasantly, feeling rather thankful that there was somebody she had met already in the cafeteria. She languidly leaned a heavy head on her hand, feeling a little more comfortable with her surroundings now that she was with somebody she was at least a little familiar with. Her expression changed to one of slight irritation at the mention of the Headmaster. The rather loud, grating speech had certainly not been the most enjoyable thing to listen to... "And yes, I did too...I'm sure he nearly ruptured my eardr-"

She closed her mouth before she finished her sentence, watching the boy stand up and bolt off somewhere. ”Be right back.” he said shortly before leaving. Before she could react, he landed back in his seat in an impressive speed. He held a cup in his hand not unlike the one he had been drinking from, and set it on the table in front of her.
”Erm, I added some cream and a pinch of sugar, just in case you aren’t used to the stuff. Wouldn’t want you to have a kidney failure by ingesting pure coffee, eh~?”
"Oh-?" Confused for a moment, she blinked and looked down at the steaming, sepia colored liquid in the cup. The rich smell of fresh coffee wafted into her nose. Wait, it was for her? Surprised at the boy's kindness, she looked back up at him wide eyed. "Wh - no need to trouble yourself... but, thank you though."

The consequence of being a nocturnal creature that only spent two days reversing its internal clock became apparent as she failed to stifle a yawn. As she opened her mouth to let out a wide yawn, she realized the coffee was something that was very needed. It was real nice of the boy to give what was practically a stranger some of that - she really could use a kick of energy boosting goodness. She picked up the cup, feeling the warmth tickle at her fingers behind her gloves. The last time she had said beverage was a number of years she could not estimate - when she was much younger and still attended a schoolhouse at daybreak somewhere back home in Lucius. In fact, she was ironically in a similar situation now. Except, several thousand wingbeats of a supersonic griffon away. Smiling to herself, she took a delicate sip, the coffee's taste being slightly bitter and sweet in a pleasant manner on her tongue. She put the cup down and took a moment to take in her surroundings, before glancing back at Varren. Although she had observed the students as they had landed at the Academy earlier, she couldn't quite tell who was new like her. Perhaps somebody else would know. "Um... do you know who any of the other first years are?"
Faye looked up from the screen of her phone. She had been surfing the internet for a bit, although she was sure most of the other girls on their phones nearby were likely texting their friends or something. Her message inbox remained empty ever since she left for camp, unsurprisingly. She glanced at the newcomers as they arrived at the Activity Center, inspecting them briefly before looking away. She hoped the rest of the people at the camp were going to be decent. She placed her phone back into her pocket.

"Oh, hello Gwen." She replied to her cabin mate's greeting from across the table, not wanting to come off as too rude. She fidgeted a bit with her hair as more and more camp members began to arrive at the area, and she began twisting a blue strand around her finger nervously. A tall, ebony haired girl approached the table, introducing herself. "I'm Katherine, from cabin one, you guys?"

"Faye, cabin three." She responded simply in a small voice. Oh, she suddenly wished she had her sketchbook with her. Her finger traced the surface of the seat she was on, thinking of all the things she could have fun drawing right now but couldn't. She spaced out for a moment, leaning on her other hand, staring off into the distant mountain scenery. Or perhaps her headphones, to drown in some melodies and leave all her worries behind. Instead, she was here with nothing, surrounded by strangers and noise. None of them looked too bad by appearance, but the fact still didn't help much with her nervousness. Hopefully, they were going to be tolerable enough for her to spend her time at the camp without too much trouble. She felt rather awkward sitting there with people she didn't know, and hoped that it wouldn't be too long before she could return to her cabin,
”Also, students. Please refer to the brochures for reference of the grounds, which will be handed out at the front door. The cafeteria is now officially open all hours, so please eat to your stomachs’ desires. All students must register their rooms by ten o’clock at the latest, or you will be forced to sleep with the griffons."

The vice Headmistress' voice echoed through the hall once more as Lilith picked up her luggage laying by her seat. She began to make her way to the building exit, becoming a part of the stream of students trickling out of the area. A teacher approached the students as they left through the doors, handing out the mentioned brochures. Lilith took the pamphlet offered to her, managing a quick "Thank you." as she walked by. She passed through the doors and watched her breath fog the air in front of her. Pausing in her steps, she looked down at the attached papers in her hand. It would be a good idea to learn a little more about the Academy grounds before she ended up wandering about the place lost. Dropping her luggage by her side, she methodically flipped through the pages, skimming each page under her gaze.

She noted the location of the first year dorms, which she knew she would have to deal with soon enough. Before heading directly to said dormitory, she decided to go on a little walk - just to get a better idea of the grounds, taking advantage of the freedom the first day seemed to grant. It could be beneficial for her to take a look at place for the coming days here. She had hopefully had enough time before she had to sign into the dorms later in the day. And besides, compared to other students she noticed today, she did not have much to drop off in the place.

Lilith folded the brochure and tucked it into her pocket, picking up her belongings as she glanced up at the elegance of the Academy buildings. Her curiosity was piqued by a number of students entering one of the taller near-identical structures located close by. She strolled toward said building, wondering what it was used for. She stifled a yawn, a slight drowsiness coming over her from the effects of late night-activities. A pleasant, warm aroma of something reached her nose as she entered the building. She quickly realized it was the cafeteria, feeling rather idiotic for not remembering the last announcement. Her species did sometimes eat without requiring it for sustenance, although it had been quite a while since she had tasted food. She glanced around at the various students in the cafeteria, and noticed a familiar face (Varren) sitting at a table.
Gonna go hit the sack now, it's midnight over here, and I'll be back around 7:00 PM central time tomorrow. Looking forward to everything~
