The setting takes place 50 years after Luffy becomes the King of the Pirates. He is currently on his deathbed. In the midst of passing away Luffy has one final wish, For someone to own the responsibilities as king and embody the spirit of Gold D. Rodger. Over the course of years that have passed Luffy and his crew have amassed a greater fortune than their previous predecessors.

His fortune is to be locked away in a tomb somewhere in the sea. Whoever finds the treasure will become the King of all Pirates succeeding all those before him.

“ So I’ll take that as a yes, in exchange for a story of my pastlife. Agreed.” Ira enjoyed how bossy Taka could seem at times. She was very demanding young woman , didn’t seem she’d take no for an answer. He didn’t want his past to spoil things, but at the same time he felt as if she should know. Certain aspects of it anyways. There was nothing wrong with telling half-truth.

“ To be honest I’m not sure if you like me or not . Your actions say one thing, but your words another. On the other hand I very much like you in everyway . I don’t know if I’m coming on a little too strong or maybe its just the wine talking but I think we could be something more than just friends in the near future. So what do you say ? Mind being mines for awhile?”

He took another bite some the pastry and sipped a little wine. “ I’m glad you don’t judge based off of what you see or what your friends think. I believe that’s why I’m attracted to you. You aren’t like them , you’re different …. aren’t so bad yourself.”

I reached across the table and grabbed Taka’s open hand , the other still full of pastry . He stared into her eyes and with a slight smile he said, “ I hope this isn’t my last time I’m going to see you. I enjoy your company and more.”

Come prepared.” , immediate tension filled the room that Kanda spiritual power sparked just high enough to overcome Ryuma’s like some sort of race. “ Just remember who’s their captain.” , Kanda arose from the seat as a change captain. He loved the thought of competition, especially between friends. It shock a 6th sense of confidence inside Kanda. He already knew what to do. It was exactly like Ryuma said. If they didn’t want their ass’s handed to them they’d train. The freedom of choice. It was worth a shot. He locked eyes with Ryuma as he left the room as too say ‘Challenge Accepted.’

He exited.

“ Squad 10 versus Squad 3… you don’t say? That's actually not a idea. It would give me a chance to measure everyone’s power and also hand out rank according to survivors. So my question is when could we actually have this take place. I would say today but Squad 3 can barely stand at the moment. What do you say to tomorrow?”

Kanda was secretly upset he hadn’t thought of the idea himself. What the hell was an obstacle course of a soul reaper but a playground anyways. Guess that’s what made Ryuma captain material while Kanda on the other hand only possessed raw ability and thoughts of achieving even more strength than he could bear. “ Must you always look smarter than me Ryu. Even when you aren’t trying.” ,Kanda put his hand up to his chin and smiled as he made this smart remark. He questioned whether he was ready for a captain position. Maybe he should’ve just became Ryuma’s Lieutenant. It seemed he was always coming to Ryuma for advice, even in the beginning of their friendship.

Ira tried to find a way word his answer without sounding like the conjurer of darkness he was. Even though this was his first date , he didn’t want to scare the young mage off with speeches of how he wanted to become greater than Zeref and other mischievous thoughts.

“ Let’s say I’m here in search of an item of the musical profession. I’m somewhat of an enthusiast of the ancient relic sort. I got word that what I’m looking for may reside in this town so I came. To my surprise it actually is here, so the make a long story short I’m adding it to my collection.” By now the waiter had came back with an appetizer, some donuts sprinkled lightly in sugar, and the wine that Ira ordered earlier. “ Your main courses will be done in just a few minutes. Until then enjoy our famous pastries . We hope they’re to your liking.”

The waiter began to pour the wine in two glasses as Ira reached for the delicious looking pastries. Before he bit into it he said, “ To be totally honest, this is my first date. I wanted to wait until the end of the date but I’m quite anxious. I wanted to know have I been doing a good job as a host , so far at least.” Ira couldn’t believe he’d let the words escape his mouth, and in such a nonchalant fashion. Since there was no changing the past he might as well hear out whatever Taka would say .
