Current 3.5e is the best dnd, only one I play, but I prefer pathfinder 1e cause it's 3.5e with extra stuff.

@DontCallMeZelda So the holy lands, is pretty much the HRE but actually holy. Time to find a german name set and make a character. I was planning on the typical paladin/knight, but it seems like a lot of the magic styles are elemental/natural (hydro, cyro, pyro, geo, etc) or school of thought based (evocation, conjuration, etc) Would there be a specific for healing or divine magics?
nice, I'll figure out something for a character.
@DontCallMeZelda sweet, can't wait.
@LordOfTheNight I see almost nothing of military doctrine in there, and culture I was mainly just looking for naming, how officers would be commissioned, is it based off education/experience(field commissions) alone, or are other means such as royalty.

Doctrine wise, I was wondering about how individual units would cohere to each other so I'm looking to create a sapper/engineer of some kind, and of course a lower ranking officer. So if we are going from a british stand point, I'd either be under artillery or the naval marines (weird reasons). Besides that, would sections be split up like in the british/most allied armies, like artillery (mortars/machine gun teams, artillery, anti aircraft emplacements, spotters), logistics (engineers, drivers, yeoman, etc), infantry (infantry and sharpshooters), cavalry (cavalry, armored cars, tanks, some planes[another odd thing to talk about during first world war british military]) or more like the german/italian doctrine, of if you think about it you can get it, so cav (anything mobile or flying), infantry (anything that is slow, and on the ground and not logistical), artillery and logistics (pretty much anything that isn't left with heavy artillery added in)
@Lovejoy def interested in this, specially after I started watching the tv show Terror on hulu.
@DontCallMeZeldaI'm interested as usual for most things fantasy.
@LordOfTheNight something like an ensign or a 2nd lt, and I'm going to guess by the look of the uniform that we are based off of the british (helmet and uniform) or german army (armor/weapon types(self loading pistols and smgs), this is more for the names sake due to the rifle having influence from both the british and the germans and I want to get a grasp of basic culture and doctrine.
@LordOfTheNightHey hossman, what are the ranks, something early officer, like an ensign.
