Li laughed. "Well well. You're probably lucky that's all she did." She shrugged before settling back on her hands. "Sacha's no coward. She's not the type to run from this, especially when she has a responsibility to the Rabins. You probably should've mentioned you were leaving though. That might have been nice of you." She glanced over at him before looking up at the sky. "I'm Li, by the way."

Jett pulled his knees loosely up to his chest and gazed off towards the forest, his eyes distant. "Yeah. But then again, foresight never was my specialty," he added, glancing at her with the slightly hint of a smile. He nodded and her introduction and extended his hand. "Good to meet you. I'm Jett, and hopefully you can one day believe that I'm not entirely a jackass---at least not all of the time," he smirked.

Ambrose grins at her. "No, please continue." He urges. "Tell me how a murderer is the best leader of the forest. Tell me how fear and anger and hate allows you to rule as the best group in the forest. Please, tell me how you guys enjoy killing. Enjoy your....effectiveness." He shrugs at her. "Don't apologize. You're obviously very, wrongly though, proud of your group and that's fine. But please, understand that I disagree with everything you Broms stand for and everything you've done."

Vera narrowed her eyes coldly. "You know what one of the most human emotions is?" she asked. She continued without waiting for an answer. "Greed. Wanting more. Wanting better. We were all taught that we shouldn't let it influence us, but it's only natural." She shook her head fiercely. "I'm greedy for wanting to be a part of the stronger group. And for wanting to be the Brom second-in-command. And a whole bunch of other stuff, but you know what? You're expecting a little too much out of me if you expect any different," she muttered.

Both of Li's eyebrows shot up and she sat up straight. "Wait... You didn't tell her? Oh my god dude. You, sir, are a first class jackass." Li chuckled slightly in amazement. "Did you at least send an 'I'm not dead' postcard at some point?"

Jett held up his hands defensively. "Hey, it's not entirely as bad as it sounds! I just couldn't handle all of the death and destruction I was seeing around me on a day to day basis, especially with the girl I love at the center of it all. But she couldn't bring herself to pull away from the danger of being leader," he shrugged. He paused, and added quickly, "I'm not making excuses, though. I know it was a terrible thing to do... but hopefully she won't be dying to punch me again for the rest of her life," he chuckled, gesturing to his swollen nose with some dried blood from the bloody nose she'd given him when he arrived. "This was my 'welcome back' gift."

Ambrose shakes his head. "You make no sense." He then grins at her. "You know, I've always found being friendly and helpful to people makes them more likely to listen and abide by whatever rules Sacha or Fabine would lay out." He stretches his arms overhead. "A Rabin? Ah. So you like putting people in boxes. Unlike you, I don't think all Rabins or all Broms are the same. I think you're making a wild assumption about my person based on one small aspect of myself. That doesn't seem fair does it?"

Vera sat up straight and snorted, a bit insulted by his jabs. "I'm proud to be a part of the strongest group in this forest, and we certainly didn't get to be that way by being friendly nor helpful," she pointed out, her eyes narrowing. "Fabine is a perfect example of that," she snickered. "He's tough, and not particularly kind as a leader, but he doesn't need any of that to be effective." She found herself becoming extremely impassioned on the subject, and froze. She cleared her throat and pulled back significantly. "Sorry," she said softly.

Li winced in sympathy. "Ah, it's all becoming clear now. I'm sure she didn't roll out the red carpet for your arrival. Probably skimped you on your welcome basket of muffins too." She grinned at her own joke before continuing. "By the chilly reception, I'm guessing she didn't take it well when you told her you were leaving?"

Jett cringed and looked at her with a forced slight smile. "No, definitely not... Well, I mean I'm sure she wouldn't have... That is, if I were to have... told her...." he gradually trailed off until his words became an ashamed mumble.

"Only Archer I've seen is you." Ambrose shrugs, watches her curiously. "Yeah, well. Broms tend to do that." He shrugs as he glances around quickly, half-expecting it to be an ambush while he was distracted by the girl. He turns his attention back to her. "Not really sure what would be accomplished other than more fighting. I'm literally doing nothing but fishing. And that warrants getting injured or worse?" He asks.

Vera held her bow proudly. She frowned slightly and tilted her head. "Fighting is how we keep order. Without the war, no one would stay in line," she explained matter-of-factly, just as Fabine had told her. She snorted and added, "So I guess we have as much right to the fish as you do." She sighed when she realized she wasn't proving her point very well, and just huffed, "A Rabin wouldn't understand."

After realizing, she'll be here a moment, Li takes a seat on the great next to him. "Yeah. The real world sucks ass. Now camping and border disputes... That's where it's at." She stretched her legs out in front of her and leans back on her hands. "Don't get me wrong, you look positively despicable and are probably some sort of serial killer in your free time, but you don't seem like you should be shunned on sight. What'd you do to get the cold shoulder?"

Jett laughed out loud at her claims and shook his head slowly. "I don't know if I'd go that far," he chuckled. He sighed and shook his head slightly, and when he looked back up at her he went on, "I was in a pretty serious with Sacha when I left." He winced. Gosh, it does sound pretty bad when you just put it like that, he admitted. "So you can imagine that she wasn't the warmest host when I arrived."

Ambrose jumps at the sudden appearance of the arrow. He steps back and then frowns. "Huh..." He says, going over to the arrow. He pulls it out, before looking around. He spots Vera and narrows his eyes suspiciously. "Is this your arrow?" He calls over to her. He sets his sword down, not really interested in a fight. He watches the girl, sizing her up. I can take her if I need to. But I could also fly away. Hmm, decisions decisions He thinks as he walks towards the Brom girl.

Vera leaps onto a medium-sized rock and crouches down, eyeing him carefully. A small smile rests on her face as he retrieves the arrow. "I don't think so," she responds innocently. "Must belong to someone else," she added with a smirk as she runs one hand along her bow. Her smile disappears for a moment as she adds, "You know you really shouldn't be so close to Brom territory. Some Brom fighters might've just gone for your head."

"Oh?" Li raised an eyebrow. "Ooh... Mysterious." She tried to maintain a straight face and not reveal her interest. "New here, but not really new here." She paused, waiting to see if he would elaborate.

Jett chuckled, "Exactly." He shifted to become comfortable against the tree. "I was a Rabin fighter two years ago, but I left the group to go explore the real world a bit." He paused, frowning, and went on, "Turns out, the real world isn't so great. I came back to the forest looking for a place to call home for a little bit... but I wasn't exactly welcomed with open arms," he shrugged.

Li shoved her hands in the pockets of her jeans as she walked and stopped once she had reached her target. She noticed he didn't seem eager to chat, but decided to ignore it. She glanced down at him for a moment before speaking. "I don't believe we've met. Are you a new arrival?"

Jett inspected the newcomer, and nodded in response to her question. "Well, I did just arrive here, yeah," he replied, but went on hesitantly, "I'm not exactly a new group member though." He paused, debating whether or not it was a smart idea to share his situation with every Rabin he talked to; he wasn't even so sure she cared.
