Li sat up a little straighter and grinned. "Bars you say? You had me at bars." She chuckled. "Food is good too. As wonderful as our furry woodland creatures are, I wouldn't mind some food I don't catch myself. Town sounds like a nice break from all the bickering with our pals across the river."
Jett laughed a bit, then asked curiously, "Do you wanna go down there?" It occurred to him that by disappearing to town for a few hours, he was just asking for trouble from Sacha. He felt slightly guilty, and he decided to leave a note for her in his tent in case she came looking. I don't want to just disappear on her again... he thought. It was pretty lousy of me to do that once. Jett looked at Li and grinned. "Just give me a sec to get ready and I'll be back out." He got to his feet and walked over into the tent Sacha had granted him for the two weeks and he grabbed an old receipt he had lying around. He scribbled out a quick 'gone out, back soon' and tossed it on his bed. He grabbed his bag and walked back out of the tent.
