A combination between Dutch kickboxing and Muay Thai? That sounds really effective. Muay Thai is not for nothing seen as the most effective striking system by many, and Dutch kickboxing has been pimping out champions like it's nothing. I wonder what a hybrid would look like.

Exactly what you expected of a school centered around fighting is what Remy observed in his orienting walk around the school before the speech began. People being physically bullied everywhere. A culture where power dynamics center around your fighting prowess. If you were new to the school, they would come and test you. Coming all up in your face, disrespecting you, pushing you to the edge and see how you react. If you turn the other cheek you're noted as a pussy that can get walked over. If you show you don't tolerate that and can't get disrespected like that, you won't be tested anymore because they found out your worth. Let them come test Remy, one good kick is all it would take to fucking chop their leg off and leave them bleeding to death, figuratively.

Luckily through his early exploration of the school he hasn't been bothered and was able to avoid confrontation. Maybe due to his eloquent walk, heaved up chin and slight smirk as his silver chain bounced on his neck with every step. The confidence in his movement that would confuse you and make you think this wasn't his first day. Like he already was at the top of the food-chain. Maybe it was because they didn't notice him. Sooner or later he would find out, he did come to school early to explore so not everyone was present.

He wasn't fully done exploring when it was time to go to the auditorium. So he cut the walk short and headed over there. As he was new together with countless other freshmen, not only was it around the time he would get tested. It was also the best time to make as many friends as possible. The time everyone didn't have friends yet and tight circles didn't get formed. If they try to jump him with a gang he would need social connects to make sure it wouldn't be one man versus an army. He would need to find freshmen to hangout with after the speech.

Once he arrives at the auditorium it didn't take more than five minutes for the whoever that guy was to show up. Oh, he introduced himself as the president of the student government. Interesting. So that was the man he was gonna dethrone violently in a few years, probable leave him with a cut off leg he is going to need to stitch back to his hips. Poor peasant. Sometimes even Remy wished he wasn't such a beast.

Remy followed the speech in his handbook, made sure to pay attention to the speech he was gonna be forced to give after he beat the guy.

So they were working with roommates? That's pretty cool. Suddenly he stopped and got this really creepy smile. He didn't seem this genuine amused when he was talking about the stuff before. So this must be interesting.

The most noticeable aspect of his personality is his unshakeable confidence. He genuinely believes that he has limitless potential and will eventually surpass anyone stronger than him now.

He genuinely believes that he is untouchable. This radiating confidence together with his silver tongue and iron wit makes him come across as either charismatic, or arrogant. Depending on the personality of the receives.

He is a quick thinker with a silver tongue due to him not being nervous to speak his mind and knowing how to bring it. Though he is also very insensitive and intolerant to perceived disrespect. Nothing is worse to him than being seen as less. Fighting style:

In fights he is usually very energy conservative. He uses close to no flash, instead he uses the bare bones fundamentals of what works for him, and uses them in versatile ways.

His current repertoire of offensive stand up techniques is literally just the basic punching combination plus the low and roundhouse kick. Nothing else yet he refined them and uses them for versatile purposes it's as if he has a whole arsenal of weapon. Almost everything having multiple purposes.

Whenever his opponent puts weight on a leg he will kick it hard and hurt it because they can't check the kick or dodge it if their weight is on it. It's the staple of his style.

In offense he will use great fundamental boxing to set up kicks that weaken the opponent. Either a roundhouse kick that will sap their endurance by hitting their stomach/ribs or a low kick that saps the power of their attacks and speed. (Legs are the biggest source of power in punches and kicks) until his opponent becomes physically weak enough, and is in enough excruciating pain to finish off and he'll come at them bloodthirsty with combos of punches with kick feints until they crumble.

In defense he will never let the opponent throw a shot without him trying to punish them by immediately going in the offense.

In defense he usually loves to throw a disruptive jab that he throws at the same time an opponent throws his attack and usually wins out because the jab is the fastest and safest punch there is. Other than that he defends with counters, either same time counters if he can or defending first and then attacking, by parrying or blocking.

Living in the Netherlands, the kickboxing capital of the world he joined a kickboxing gym at ten because he really liked watching the more realistic fighting anime as his tastes 'matured'.

He heard of a MMA academy in Japan, where anime was made. So he begged his parents to move and enroll him there. His charismatic confidence in his dream and his silver tongue in hyping Japan up, convinced them and he moved there and enrolled. Accepted because Dutch kickboxing had made a imprint on the Japanese fighting scene after multiple Dutch kickboxers have fought there.

Nobody knows where his confidence comes from, but he has been saying he will become a legend since young.

Dreams and Fears:
He dreams of being the G.O.A.T in fighting. Of being seen the same as Muhammad Ali is seen in boxing, but then in MMA. Boxing is his favorite sport and he sees Dutch Kickboxing, being very boxing heavy with kicks used mostly to weaken the opponent, as a natural progression of boxing to MMA. So he looks up to him.

@FallenTrinityYeah everything else was okay. Backstory could be a bit better maybe, but it seems he has a good understanding of the martial art. It's actually one of the main ones I train in and I was surprised to see such an in depth understanding. I'd give that part an +A Lol.

And thanks, I'm training it too I live in the Netherlands, though I've only recently started so I wasn't sure if it would be accurate enough, used to be a boxer.

@jehovallah Hey dude, I'd just like you to know that the height and weight your character is at is REALLY skinny. Unhealthy actually. You might want to give him 15-25 more pounds, and even then he'll just be skinny with little muscle if that's what you're trying to go for.
