Yeah, it makes sense. If you want to do that, I'll edit in his list of abilities.
My only problem would be if this ends in trying to make him play more like a D&D caster. Then I'd object or dip out. Mainly because I'm pretty damn sure the character does not play nice with the design sensibilities of that game.
