Suggesting that Beck's relationship with Kyle is basically "has never interacted ever" (he doesn't seem too chatty) and maybe Will and Kyle cooperated with each other to supervise Siobhan's situation (assuming McHaggis is cool with his involvement) but otherwise aren't exactly friends?

On the veeeeery slim chance that I ever attempt to run this again, I don't wanna say. The plot I cooked up with the killer was super-ambitious and I don't want to potentially spoil a potential future version of events. If anybody does want to spoil (and therefore guarantee not playing in a potential future version), let me know and I can PM you the insanity was cooked up for youse.

Okay, there's a billion of us so I'd like to make my life just a teensy teensy weensy bit easier: would youse mind filling out Relationship Sheets for, well, all the other characters and add them to your sheets when you're done? I've already found myself forgetting stuff that I've confirmed which my bullet points in the Character Tab aren't really fully reminding me of and now I have to trawl through the OoC and PM's to fix it.

Beck's Relationships

Relationships:

Character: Darren
Relationship: Bffs. Both are boisterous bruisers who love dares and challenges. Beck’s favourite game is goading him into trying to keep up with her almost superhuman ability to drink.

Character: Liza
Relationship: They shared three NEWT classes. Beck finds Liza a bit serious and therefore bordering on the boring, although she has noticed one or two of Liza’s particularly withering put-downs and has her filed under ‘one to watch’.

Character: Ross
Relationship: The two get on well - they’ll have shared two NEWT classes and Beck loves the puns.

Character: Will
Relationship: Absolutely not friends. Beck cannot stand him and was therefore obstructive to the Prefect of her house whenever she could, for the sake of it.

Character: Elise
Relationship: Probably haven’t encountered each other too much.

Character: Mary
Relationship: Beck has nothing against Mary, but doesn’t really have too much time for shy, retiring people, even housemates. As Mary came out of her shell and joined the Quidditch team, they at least developed a respectful and functioning working relationship.

Character: Arthur
Relationship: Shared three NEWTs and both beaters - otherwise, absolutely no ideas. Any thoughts?

Relationship: Friendly rivals? No idea here tbh

Will's Relationships

Relationships:

Character: Beck
Relationship: Beck and Will have never clicked and all his attempts to try to persuade her to like him or at least cooperate with him have backfired, not that he’s stopped trying.

Character: Darren
Relationship: Friendly rivals with a good working relationship developed as a most senior prefect and head boy - not that Will is entirely unsalty about Darren getting the HB badge. Then again, Will beat him to be Captain of the Hogwarts Duelling Team, so it’s not all bad news.

Character: Liza
Relationship: Will respects Liza greatly, although if she has ever been particularly withering to him in the past, he’ll probably be on his guard around her.

Character: Ross
Relationship: Will thinks Ross is great and really enjoys his company, vivacious but also intelligent, which is, apparently, amazing for a muggle-born, as Will has probably told him on more than one occasion. Frequently study-buddies. Bad luck, Ross.

Character: Elise
Relationship: Will knows that Elise can’t stand him, but has no idea that it’s due to her dating her cousin. He will want to make amends.

Character: Mary Winthrop
Relationship: Will likes to forget they used to date, mostly because she dumped him and he doesn’t want to be the one to have been dumped. Very slightly awkward around her, but friendly.

Character: Arthur
Relationship: Will likes Arthur, although underestimates him because of Arthur’s reticence. Sometimes study-buddies.

Character: Siobhan
Relationship: Will judges her based on her academic record, her love for CoMC which he doesn’t share, and her role as yet another Quidditch goon - doesn’t dislike her, but doesn’t respect her as much as he ought to. He actually has no opinion on wolfishness and the two cooperated well during full moons to make sure that wherever she was wolfing, other students were kept away for her privacy and their safety.

Question is, what's their affect on sexually and gender fluid individuals? Looking at the wiki, there's no definitive answer for that either. I'm very much prone to disliking 'seduces all men,' and it being both strictly sex rather than gender based and climbing over the whole sexual attraction thing.

Spitballing (and I've already considered the sexuality aspect) here, I'd say it'd be up to any gay male characters' players if they're feeling gay enough to be immune or not, while I can't really see it affecting lesbians. In my headcanon, Veela make men pretty much literally think with their dick and so it biologically wouldn't work on a lesbian because it's specifically aimed at male body chemistry. As for non-binary characters (not that we have any), I would apply the two above simultaneously: if the body chemistry is broadly male, then it'll have an effect (unless the character is so utterly uninterested in women that the player doesn't want to).

A recent scouring of the HP wikia and a googling result in uncertainty - there's nothing definite out there. My instinct is that pure Veela are female-only like their mythological sources, and it is canon that male part-Veela do not have Veela attributes, unlike their female counterparts, suggesting that male Veela are sort of... not actually Veela. Then again, if they're female-only, that raises the question of how Veela might breed. The WOMBAT test has a true or false question for which one possible false answer is "There are no male Veela" except I can't find a damn answer to the question - but it would be reasonable to assume that if there were male Veela, the question would be moot if it was common knowledge they existed, implying that they're at the very least rare/distinct from their female counterparts.

Unless some people desperately want Veela dudes, I'd say that Veela with Veela powers are indeed female-only, if only because male ones would totally contradict my headcanon.

Get your thinking caps on, kids, for Episode ideas, if you have any you'd like to submit. This game seems to have terrific momentum atm and I'd like that to continue as far as possible, so in the coming days I'd like to receive final character applications and have done the poll for favourite episodes so we know who we are and where we're going first.
