Busy, busy day. Sad that the only writing I could do today was writing this guild status. ~.~

Each night close to bedtime I tell myself, "fuck work!" only to be fucked by work the next day.

Today is the happier yet sadder day of the month. Because today is the day salary comes in and immediately flies out of the bank account like it didn't even happen :(

Bio

"Well, be good now and say hi, I can see you there, stranger," a feminine voice spoke out of nowhere, its owner hidden from plain sight. One could say it sounded like a challenge, to lure visitors into obeying her command and dropping a PM or a VM on her profile, but if one were to listen carefully, it was more of an awkward attempt to befriend the newcomer who had consciously or unconsciously stumbled upon her domain.

"Not listening, are you? Oh fine, I'll come greet you instead." Some indiscernible noises and an oops dammit later, a petite figure emerged from behind the shadows of the guild looking at her visitor curiously yet somewhat wary of whoever who was now present at her doorstep, her steps slow but purposeful. She was not one to engage in chats, not for the lack of friendliness, but she was often afraid of saying the wrong things, awkward things, which may scare visitors away.

It can't be helped; she was more of an introvert after all, and years of being cooped in her small home did nothing to improve her communication skills with others. It only made her fail to express her true desires and intentions with the right words, often causing confusion to everyone who made contact with her. She decided that withdrawing into her own world might be best - that way she wouldn't inconvenience others nor would she ever send the wrong kind of message.

Though every now and then, she found herself wishing she could at least break free from her introvert shell. She did try of course, on days when she had a bit more courage and a bit more confidence, then she screwed up again and ran back to her hidey-hole to weep in disappointment. Today was one of such days; she felt braver than usual, plus she couldn't seem to ignore the presence of this stranger lurking around her profile.

Putting on her best smile, she said, "Hello, I'm Jonisca. Who are you?"

Hi there, Profile Visitor! I know I don't have much to offer at the moment, because I don't even know what I can offer haha. The above story/post/idunnowhattocallit? can be a reference to those who want a glimpse of my writing capability (or incapability for that matter .__.). I love reading stories with interesting plots and romance, preferably in medieval or some otherworldly fantasy settings but in terms of writing in this kind of genre...I have yet to discover if I have such flair. Gotta roleplay to know eh?

I cannot vouch for whether I can write up to anyone's expectations; if I am good, yay! If I am bad...*sadface* Jokes aside, feel free to throw constructive criticisms at me. I promise I will accept them most graciously...*looks with sad puppy eyes*

Areas I may be interested in:
- Generally romance, (feel free to PM me your idea to check if I'll be interested, since romance is pretty wide lol. Just fyi, I hardly write smut though as I lean more to light + slow burn romance)
- Medieval fantasy
- Adventure
- Tempted to do high fantasy but posts will probably be slow due to overthinking
- Time travel
- Paranormal fiction, preferably something unique other than vampires and werewolves
- Romance xianxia aka Chinese cultivation fantasy involving immortals and Chinese mythology

Not inclined to do:
- Sci-fi
- Fandoms, due to my limited knowledge in movies, anime, drama series
- Historical fiction, mainly because it would take too long to research
- Military
- School settings, unless the plot is good
- Modern, unless it's mixed with heavy otherworldly setting

Looking forward to interacting with most of you, and I hope to rp with you guys! Most of all, have fun, and have a good day! :D

Fun Fact 1: I reply quick. as soon as I can.
Fun Fact 2: I can lose interest easily in a RP with uninspiring plots and posts.
Fun Fact 3: I love me some romance C-dramas. *activates hopeless romantic mode*

"By the power of Greyskull," the flaming homosexual wombat exclaimed, as he slipped and fell, only to be caught by a hopeless romantic trying to figure out the meaning of extraterrestrial existence in bed. Then he realized that without cheese, he could not feed his grandmother so he bought some power metal, pure cheesy goodness. However, Littlefoot was a metalbender, meaning the power metal could be bent, which would be glorious for Fire Nation. So Littlefoot challenged Megatron to a fist fight aboard the ship shaped like a cabbage.

a hopeless romantic trying to

Hi there, this sounds interesting. Is there space for another character? (:
*curtsies* Thank you, Fire starter.
...not with warm joy but an unexplained longing for something more.

Greetings everyone (: Pardon me for the sad tone kind of introduction, but this was what came to mind as I return to the Guild after disappearing for...was it 2, 3 years ago? A long time has passed since the time of great activity in the spam section and casual forum, and now I am back feeling as aimless as I once was. Sounds like a cycle of sorts. Hmm.

Anyway, I am not sure if I will be as active as I expect of myself; I'm after all a random on-off person. Even so, I am not the type to abandon a roleplay without courtesy so rest assured. It is just that I grow bored (quite) easily. My flaw, my weakness.

Reason of return: Kind of inspired-to-create-write-yet-not-so after reading a book called Wintersong by S. Jae-Jones. I am a little sad and disappointed to know that the main characters had to be apart after all even though they had something to stay together for: Love. Yes, I'm a hopeless romantic, rawr, be afraid, be very afraid.

tl;dr: See y'all around somewhere in the Guild, and have a good day wherever you are (:
Is this rp...dead? o__o
Finally got my post up, sorry for the wait. Not an inspiring post but I hope to do better in the next post. I hope it's okay to have stuff like Battlefey? It was just something that came up in mind when I was writing, that there may be a different status called the Battlefey who make up the most part of the army, soldiers literally. Do let me know if that's not proper, thanks.
Florie sighed in her bed. She usually greeted each day with a bright smile but today, even though it was the start of the Spring Festival, did not feel like a day she could do so after what happened last night. Yesterday was her sixteenth birthday, and it was a memorable day for her. People gave their warm wishes to her and her best friends, Anna and Stacy surprised her by having the whole class singing a birthday song for her, in which she laughed herself to tears because of their silly singing antics. Her parents organised a small barbecue party for her that night with her best friends and Florie thought it was the best birthday celebration she ever had with people who mattered to her. Things were simple until Mummy gave me this..., Florie frowned slightly as she picked up a delicate-looking necklace from the side table. As she began her closer inspection, she found herself recalling the most important part of the conversation...

***

"Florie, this is not just an ordinary gift like the ones given by your friends. This necklace bearing the petal pendant can only be worn by you." A pause. "I made it that way so that nobody can harness the power within except you, my child."
"I...I don't understand."

Her mother, Sylvia stroked her hair. "Some time ago, a Summer Fey curiously wandered into the mortal realm, wanting to see how different mortals are from her. Her parents disproved of her idea as they thought of mortals as lesser, powerless, helpless beings. Having their only daughter roaming in their lands was something unacceptable, not to mention, potentially dangerous since mortals are not entirely harmless. But this fey disobediently went off on her own. In her mortal guise, she first visited a small park in a small town and a young mortal happened upon her. He offered her the warmest smiles she had ever seen and greeted her as though they were longtime friends. A sudden unexplainable feeling of joy rushed over her at such simple gestures and from that moment, she decided to befriend him. The two began an easy friendship, which later evolved into love." A fond smile and another pause before Sylvia looked into her eyes. "They eventually married and their lovely daughter was born two years after."

"Sounds like a fairy tale in a movie. But Mummy, I still don't get you...what has this story got to do with this necklace? And what do you mean about the power within?" Florie frowned. Sylvia continued her story despite the interruption. "The fey thought she could live happily ever after with her man, but the raging war between the Summer Fey and Winter Fey was not a matter to be ignored. She was after all, the daughter of a Battlefey, and like all Battlefey, she was expected to fight for her clan against the Winter Fey. She was Sylvia, daughter of Elthar and Lauria, torn between her duties as a daughter and Battlefey, and her love for the mortal named George Sommersby. She became a disappointment to her parents as she chose love over her clan, she chose to stay in the mortal realm and never to return to the fey realm. The fey thought she could put her past behind her...she thought she could escape." Her voice grew solemn. "But even if she could, her daughter wouldn't stand a chance, being an untrained halfling." Her mother looked into her eyes.

"You wouldn't stand a chance unless you have means to protect yourself, hence the gift."

***

"Daughter of a Summer Fey...I wonder if it's a good thing to be half fey." Florie mumbled, turning the petal pendant over and over in her hands. Intricately carved to resemble a lifelike petal, Florie thought it to be the most beautiful thing she had in her possession. What it was made of, she could not be sure, but Florie had a suspicion that the necklace itself was magical. It felt as warm as summer to her touch, and for a moment, she wondered if the necklace was something live.

Florie shook her head and got out of bed. She planned to do some gardening before poking around in town during the festival; that would give her time to settle her feeling of uncertainty over the revelation. Before leaving her room, she took a long look at the necklace and after some thought, decided to bring it along.
Seeing a lot of posts up already, I'll try to get mine up as soon as I can after work >.<
*raises hand* My character is going to lean towards the Summer Fey group, despite being a halfling so is that counted as +1 Summer Fey?
