Busy, busy day. Sad that the only writing I could do today was writing this guild status. ~.~

Today is the happier yet sadder day of the month. Because today is the day salary comes in and immediately flies out of the bank account like it didn't even happen :(

"Well, be good now and say hi, I can see you there, stranger," a feminine voice spoke out of nowhere, its owner hidden from plain sight. One could say it sounded like a challenge, to lure visitors into obeying her command and dropping a PM or a VM on her profile, but if one were to listen carefully, it was more of an awkward attempt to befriend the newcomer who had consciously or unconsciously stumbled upon her domain.
"Not listening, are you? Oh fine, I'll come greet you instead." Some indiscernible noises and an oops dammit later, a petite figure emerged from behind the shadows of the guild looking at her visitor curiously yet somewhat wary of whoever who was now present at her doorstep, her steps slow but purposeful. She was not one to engage in chats, not for the lack of friendliness, but she was often afraid of saying the wrong things, awkward things, which may scare visitors away.
It can't be helped; she was more of an introvert after all, and years of being cooped in her small home did nothing to improve her communication skills with others. It only made her fail to express her true desires and intentions with the right words, often causing confusion to everyone who made contact with her. She decided that withdrawing into her own world might be best - that way she wouldn't inconvenience others nor would she ever send the wrong kind of message.
Though every now and then, she found herself wishing she could at least break free from her introvert shell. She did try of course, on days when she had a bit more courage and a bit more confidence, then she screwed up again and ran back to her hidey-hole to weep in disappointment. Today was one of such days; she felt braver than usual, plus she couldn't seem to ignore the presence of this stranger lurking around her profile.
Putting on her best smile, she said, "Hello, I'm Jonisca. Who are you?"

Hi there, Profile Visitor! I know I don't have much to offer at the moment, because I don't even know what I can offer haha. The above story/post/idunnowhattocallit? can be a reference to those who want a glimpse of my writing capability (or incapability for that matter .__.). I love reading stories with interesting plots and romance, preferably in medieval or some otherworldly fantasy settings but in terms of writing in this kind of genre...I have yet to discover if I have such flair. Gotta roleplay to know eh?
I cannot vouch for whether I can write up to anyone's expectations; if I am good, yay! If I am bad...*sadface* Jokes aside, feel free to throw constructive criticisms at me. I promise I will accept them most graciously...*looks with sad puppy eyes*
Areas I may be interested in: - Generally romance, (feel free to PM me your idea to check if I'll be interested, since romance is pretty wide lol. Just fyi, I hardly write smut though as I lean more to light + slow burn romance) - Medieval fantasy - Adventure - Tempted to do high fantasy but posts will probably be slow due to overthinking - Time travel - Paranormal fiction, preferably something unique other than vampires and werewolves - Romance xianxia aka Chinese cultivation fantasy involving immortals and Chinese mythology
Not inclined to do: - Sci-fi - Fandoms, due to my limited knowledge in movies, anime, drama series - Historical fiction, mainly because it would take too long to research - Military - School settings, unless the plot is good - Modern, unless it's mixed with heavy otherworldly setting
Looking forward to interacting with most of you, and I hope to rp with you guys! Most of all, have fun, and have a good day! :D
Fun Fact 1: I reply quick. as soon as I can. Fun Fact 2: I can lose interest easily in a RP with uninspiring plots and posts. Fun Fact 3: I love me some romance C-dramas. *activates hopeless romantic mode*
"ARE YOU OUT OF YOUR MIND, Luna?? Or should I call you Princess Whacko now???" Krabby scurried to the princess having finally caught up to where she was, cursing his fate for having to serve the 11th princess and follow through her silly adventures. His crabby heart almost died from a brief heart attack as he witnessed Luna transforming in the waters in an attempt to grow human legs. He was halfway catching up to her as fast as his little crabby limbs could propel him forward, fervently praying that her transformation would turn out well. He wouldn't dare think what His Majesty and His Queen will say if Luna failed in her transformation...Krabby gulped in fear, the vision of him being manhandled around as Krabby Patty waiting to be served on some hot round buns running through his crabby brain repeatedly.
Fucketty fuck, Krabby screamed internally as he watched Luna's bottom doubled and tripled in size.
Holy Hades, Krabby gasped while he continued swimming forward urgently, as Luna's bottom shrunk but her breasts inflated to the point they looked like balloons, in which her balloon-like breasts made her float towards the surface.
Bless the Goddess, Krabby sighed when Luna managed to fix her misshapen body back to original size, now with a pair of legs replacing her beautiful mermaid tail, at least that's what he saw as she tried to stay afloat with her newly grown limbs. Good, good, a fine pair of...wait a minute, hairy blue legs?? Did she even know what she had done?
What the flying fish... and Krabby even ran out of curse words to use.
Krabby pinched Luna in the arm, earning a sharp yelp from her. "My Ladyship, are you aware of the pickle you are in now?" Krabby tried to keep his voice down despite the already risen panic. He couldn't be sure which nickname was worse in the Bluefin legacy - to have the 10th Prince be called Prince of Penis, or the 11th Princess to become Princess Hairy Legs. At least Prince of Penis has a nice, catchy ring to it...wait, that wasn't the main point, was it?
Krabby knew Luna must not have realized from the blur look she gave him. He pointed both his claws at her manly blue fish legs...if there's even such a term for them. And just when Krabby thought nothing else could go any wrong-er, his crabby eyes almost popped out of their sockets in extreme shock when Luna finally spoke, and a macho manly voice came out from her mouth, saying, "Hey Krabby, what's wrong?"
I had a university mate who once jokingly called me a jonisca homocomplicatum, for being a complicated person. It was supposed to be a fun take on the scientific name of humans - homo sapiens + my first name. Little did my friend realize that nickname resonated deeply within me, thus I began using Jonisca on platforms I consider to be important, RPG included.
The big ship loomed just ahead and Luna happily swam forward, not bothered by Krabby's words of warning. She had heard it was huge but not this huge...not even the biggest blue whale could win in terms of size. She wondered how many humans the ship could acarry, and it was interesting that it could stay afloat all the time. Not even the blue whale could stay afloat for that long. Interestinggggg...
Luna moved closer to the ship while being as quiet as she can. She was naughty enough to ignore Krabby's pleas to stay away from the ship but she was at least sensible enough to know she should hide from the humans. Nobody knows what the humans will do to her once being caught. One of her sisters told her humans love to eat mermaid meat, treating their flesh as exotic food of sexy flavors, whatever that meant. Luna didn't quite buy her story - she immediately thought of her father and she certainly didn't consider him to look like a sexy mermaid at all with his crew-cut blue hair, flabby tummy and smelly scaly tail.
Perhaps only her mother thought of him to be sexy, but it could be human error since her mother wasn't mermaid to begin with. Her parents, King Lir and Queen Adella, met on the shore, fell in love, and her mother married into the sea. Mermaidcraft granted her a mermaid's tail and the ability to breathe and move in the water with ease, but not without a price, or so Luna heard. Except Queen Adella kept it a secret from all her sons and daughters; only King Lir knew.
"Hmm, I can't see anything here, no human treasures, nothing. Looks like I would need to be on the ship to find anything interesting," she mused. A random mischievous thought came up in between - what if she transformed her tail into a pair of legs? It would take a while since Luna didn't pay much attention during her Transformation lessons but she could try. If she could blend in with the humans, then she would be sexy food no more! They might even treat her as one of their kind and teach her about their wonderful gadgets. It would be a thousand times more exciting than her lessons in the sea by Tutor Krabby Senior talking about the sea ecosystem or how fugly Lady Octopus was with her forever-purple fashion sense. Both the father crab and his son were the same - rigid, judgmental, cannot walk straight and their claw pinches hurt like crazy.
"Here goes!" Luna stayed beneath the water's surface and closed her eyes. Concentration is key to a successful transformation - one stray thought and the result would be disastrous. Why, one of her brothers was punished by Father to be confined in his palace room after he transformed his tail into a giant penis. It took him three months to undo the transformation but by then, his reputation was far beyond the point of salvation, and from then on, he was nicknamed the Prince of Penis, a lesson that would scar him for the rest of his mermaid life. Luna would and must fare better than her ridiculous brother.
Ahh nice, I didn't think of the phone translator. Then again, Ying has a lot to learn and pick up and familiarize with, but luckily she's quite a fast learner. Many modern world things will fascinate her, but she quickly adapts since she knows anything beyond the magical portal aka in the current world is possible.
The lady made many weird gestures at her, which was rather confusing for Ying at the start, no thanks to her sluggish brain having just woken up after Goddess knows how long she had been unconscious. It must have been just a short while, since the sun was still as unbearable as when she first came out from the magical portal.
She caught the lady making signs of putting food in mouth and pointing in a direction, which Ying assumed to be a place where food was available. Then she noticed the lady's eyes widening as though surprised, and Ying followed her gaze, which was on the scroll that Ying was still holding onto despite passing out from exhaustion earlier.
It would seem the lady knew a thing or two about the scroll. Any other person would only look curiously wondering what that item was about, and probably think of it as just some random piece of parchment. The lady then paused, before whipping out a gadget the size of her palm, furiously pressing on it before bringing it close to her. Ying wanted to ask questions but was startled by a voice speaking in Chinese. And it came from the lady's gadget.
"Hai, wo jiao Aisling. Wo hui mai shi wu gei ni chi, hai you ni ke yi xi xi ni de shen ti yi xia zai yi jian ka fei dian zai na er."
Ying thought the gadget to be magical - whoever knew such an odd device could speak her language? Sure, it wasn't perfect - she didn't understand what "ka fei dian" was, but from the lady's gestures about food and pointing at a location ahead, Ying surmised it meant a place where she could get meals. She made a mental note to learn that term up, it could come in handy in future. But it was already marvellous that the device could act as a middleman to lessen the almost impossible language barrier.
Still, she needed to follow the lady called Aisling, if she had heard right. There were many questions she needed answers to, and Aisling seemed to be a potential key to her chestful of confusion, doubts and uncertainties. Even if Aisling did not know all answers, Ying was sure she could gain a good amount of info to survive in this new world setting so unlike her original home. To top that, Ying would need to learn as much as she can, fast.
If only there was a quick way to absorb information, but Ying's brain ain't as magical as Aisling's gadget though. Then again, right now, nothing mattered as much as her hunger. She would die of embarrassment if she allowed her tummy to protest with a thunderous growl right in front of the lady.
I will follow you, Ying signalled to the lady. She stretched out an arm at Birdie, and her wooden owl obediently perched on it. Scroll still in hand, she walked in the direction which Aisling had gestured, while keeping an eye on where Aisling decided to bring her.
Hello there. This looks fun. I've never done a story like this, but it looks fun. Do you mind if I just jump in here? Right here?
Sure thing, thanks for asking! I've never done a story like this too xD but feel free to roleplay as any of the characters, be it the mermaid or the human or Krabby, no limits to your creativity, as long as the story flows nicely forward hehe~
Interested, but not sure if there's still room for one more.
I'm thinking of playing a rather weak, hopeless female character that was born without much talent for magic and is still in the process of discovering herself years after. She wasn't a hero everyone would have expected a hero to be - she was neither physically strong nor mentally strong. Somehow fate got her swept into the dragon battle thing (probably a funny series of events happened so she had no choice but to follow along the other capable heroes) and in the blink of an eye, suddenly she was hailed a hero having survived the tough battle.
