Wait, you guys can see the map? Everything's just black to me. I thought I messed something up.

You have to go over to the right side (there's a hidden menu over there, see the little arrow thing?) and select rpgworld from the list and pick which kind of view you want. The default is something just called 'world' and it's blank, so idk what it is.

Was this inspired by Elly's spamfic, per chance?

A bit, but mostly no. It was largely inspired by the show Misfits, which I watched a little while before writing Resistance. This story will be vastly different from Elendra's spamfic, with no gods and such.

I'm including Jorick in my own fic. Feel free to state if you want to be a villain, an anti-villain or even something of a good guy. I will write you as a little bit of what I see from your Spam persona though.

Or how about you ask people for that shit in your own thread?

Note that nowhere did I say I wanted people to sign up or anything. I'll include people or not at my own discretion, though regularly active people in Spam are almost certain to make some kind of appearance.
A new wave of spamfics is rising, it seems, and I couldn't resist joining in. I know I just finished Resistance a couple months ago, but I've had this new idea rolling around in my head since then and I'm feeling motivated to write it right now, so fuck it, I'm doing it.

For those who read Resistance, this is a sort of direct but also sort of spiritual sequel. Remember that stuff at the end about how the world could and would be reset and remade into something new? This version of the world is that which directly follows the world of Resistance, but things are very different in this new world.

For those who didn't read Resistance but want to read Empowered, that's fine, it's not at all a continuation of that plot or those characters. The only thing you might miss out on is minor amusement from comparing and contrasting the different versions, so you won't be lacking anything vital.

One final note before I get on with it. Chapter releases will be sporadic and may have a week or more time between them, depending on my work schedule. Ideally I would like to keep it to a maximum of 3 days between chapters, but shit happens.

And now on to the actual story stuff.
Prologue
Chapter 1 - Genesis
Chaper 2 - Hooligans and Dreamers
Chapter 3 - Opening Salvos

What's it supposed to be? I see a cute dalek that may have been drawn in MS Paint.
Ridiculous douchebags continue to do ridiculously douchebaggy things.

More news at 11.
Co-GMs can be useful for a lot of things, though it depends on the scope and needs of your roleplay.

If it's a small group thing then it's not really that useful unless you're frequently absent and need someone to hold down the fort when you can't be around.

If you're running with something larger, say getting up into the double digits for player count, it can be nice to have someone else to answer questions and deal with issues so you don't have to do it all yourself.

If your roleplay covers a huge area with tons of characters, co-GMs can be great to have to play some important NPCs and such. It adds a different feel to different NPCs, which is nice for the player side, and that means the GM workload is shared, which is nice for the GM side.

If you're bad about reminding people to post, having a co-GM just for whip cracking purposes can be nice. I've played that role myself a couple times, and having someone whose job is to tell people they should post whenever they're holding things up tends to be pretty helpful for pacing.

It all depends on the RP and your availability, really. Some people can manage massive games with tons of people without any issues, others need the helping hand of a co-GM. Some people are great co-GMs, some people suck at it. There's no single answer for any of it that'll apply to all games or people.
