Road to Knowledge

Kára smiled coyly at Godelvia's praise. She still managed to seem at least somewhat cute despite being covered head-to-toe in smatterings of the blood of her enemies. It was rare that she got genuine praise; often those who praised her were just as fearful of her as those whom she had just slain moments prior, and, as a result, they would quickly tell her of her job well done before distancing themselves.

But Kára didn't mind. She was used to it.

"You too, Godelvia. I have no doubt the All-Father is proud of you as well. I apologize for your friends' passing, but I am sure they have seats reserved for them in Valhalla." Kára knew the pain of losing animal companions. Sometimes she would make friends with a squirrel or otherwise small creature only to find that she had eaten them in a fit of hunger. This was, of course, when she was much younger and has less control over her transformation, but it was painful nonetheless.

Kára approached Godelvia, the only warrior on this vessel with whom she had properly socialized. She gave another shy smile as if to ask if being this close in proximity was okay.
The Road to Knowledge

"They don't make them as strong down here as they do back home. My fear may be a little too much for them to handle."

Despite saying this, Kára continued to make use of her fear-based magic. Hopefully, in this more human form her aura of terror would not be too much to handle. Even so, in spite of her no-longer-a-dinosaur shape, her combat style was somewhat unorthodox. She moved in a way that retained the velociraptor's strength and speed. She made her strikes with a sort of primal, animalistic force. Such was the way of the berserker. If all went well, her allied onlookers would see her vicious methods and, in fear for their own lives, would battle even harder than before. Similarly, the enemy forces were expected to gain at least a shred of cowardice; a girl that was seconds before a reptilian beast that had never entered their imaginations was now facing them down and slaying them one by one.

She followed after Amelia, cutting down enemies with the same furor and enthusiasm as her comrade. Knowing how Kára usually acted, one would never guess that she would be the one with a grin plastered on her face as she sunk her blade into enemy flesh. Once again, such was the way of the berserker. In battle, Kára was an entirely different force to be reckoned with; the meek, innocent girl was gone, replaced by a hurricane of steel, blood, and torment.
The Road to Knowledge

The raptor eyed the other Valkyrie. At this point, it was hardly human; more a weapon of war than anything else. The beast's bloodlust was evident. It shuffled slightly on its claws for a moment before letting loose another roar. It remained eye contact with Amelia for a few more moments. It appeared as though the message either had not or would not get through to Kára. She was merely a machine of war. The beast leapt in the direction of one of the spearmen.

However, instead of a monstrous reptile viciously tearing out a brigand's throat, an onlooker would rather see a seemingly young armored girl with her sword stuck halfway into said brigand. Upon pulling her bloodied sword out with a sickening schlick, the girl flapped her wings a single time in an attempt to get the other spearmen to back off for a moment before folding them back up.

"I'm sorry. I guess my animal form was going a tad overboard, excuse the pun," Kára said to Amelia. She had not intended to frighten her own allies off the edge of the boat. It seemed her fear-based tactics did not always succeed in the presence of untrained warriors. Luckily, they'd probably be able to swim back onto the ship. But it was still slightly annoying that they hadn't been frightened into fighting harder.

She shook excess blood off of her blade and gained a battle stance in a single, fluid motion. "Shall we?"
Road to Knowledge

Kára was about to tell her new companion that, no, she did not find ravens to be boring (she actually found them to be quite cute) when something unplanned occurred; an enemy ship had rammed into the side of their own. When it happened, Kára was knocked off-balance for a split-second before she regained her composure and realized what was going on. Almost instantly, her persona changed from that of a cute, meek girl to something a bit more frightening and serious.

With her wings expanded and her face so serious, Kára would have been adorable if she weren't so intimidating. She leapt from her current position and flew the short distance to a point above the enemy vessel (there was no way she would transform aboard a ship containing comrades she may accidentally eat). While in the air, her form morphed from that of a girl to that of a monstrous beast, a velociraptor. Though the beast was hardly larger than a normal human, its speed and strength were unmatched by anything remotely the same size.

The dinosaur landed on the ship not gracefully but rather alarmingly. It exuded an aura of fear meant to scare its allies into action and enemies into inaction. A horrendous bellow escaped the opening full of razor-sharp teeth that was this creatures mouth as it stared down its enemies, ready to rip each and every one of their throats out.
Kára smiled. It was a heart-melting smile. Both of her fellow Valkyries had deemed her able to aid in their endeavors. "Praise the All-Father! I'm glad to be of some help. You hear that, Diego? You're on scouting duty after the raven that's after this one, alright?" In response, the bird stared for a moment before deciding to groom its wing. Finding this rather cute, Kára patted her familiar on the head. It retained a blank expression. Possibly because birds lack the ability to change their expression.

It appeared that the one named Amelia was now in discussion with another one of the people who was to be on this vessel, so Kára turned her attention back to Godelvia. "That's a nice name. I like it. Graceful. Mine is Kára. Pretty simple compared to yours, isn't it...?" The girl chuckled to herself in a slightly nervous fashion. She by no means disliked her own name, but it was a simple fact that most people she met had much more grandiose-sounding ones.

She just kind of stood there. Kára did not lack social skills, she was merely bad with strangers. If her fellow warriors had instead been puppies or squirrels or something of the like, maybe she would have been slightly more comfortable. But alas, such was not the case. And so she stood.
A little ways away from most of the people on the ship stood another girl. This girl was, in fact, another Valkyrie. It appeared that she had gone largely unnoticed; she was used to this, however. Despite how cute she may have actually been, peoples' reactions to her were often either that of completely not noticing her or, rather, being afraid of her.

Being Kára was suffering. Sometimes. She may not have been as socially inept as one of the other two Valkyries on board, but she certainly was shy. Usually.

In any case, it appeared the other two maidens of war were conversing. The topic of said conversation happened to be something that caught Kára's attention, as it was something that she could -and felt compelled to- help out with. As such, she nervously approached the one who had introduced herself as Godelvia. An elegant name. Maybe they could get along.

"E-excuse me...I'm also a maiden such as you, and I could have Diego also scout if you would like...Would that be okay?"

The raven familiar with the anachronistic slightly odd name sat perched on the girl's shoulder. He was probably making fun of her in his head for stuttering.
Hello all~
Good to see you again, Steph~

Female

Birthday:
18/01/82 BC

Age:
50 (Appears 17)

Height & Weight:
160 cm
56 kg

Appearance:
Kára is a busty blonde beauty. Though of relatively short stature, her long, ever so slightly curly hair reaches past her waist creating an air of elegance. Oftentimes when not a goddamned motherfucking dinosaur, she is wearing a suit of plate mail crafted to perfectly fit her body shape. The helmet has a cute little feather.

Equipment:
Full suit of plate armor, standard viking shortsword, meat rations, waterskin. Relatively sparse equipment-wise due to most combat of hers occurring while she is in her dinosaur form.

Psychoanalysis

Merits:
Undying Courage- Will rarely, if ever, back down from any battle.
Gentle Soul- Very kind and gentle at heart despite her reputation, profession, and skill in said profession.

Flaws:
Stubborn Courage- Will rarely, if ever, back down from any battle even if a loss is likely.
Thug's Demeanor- Despite her appearance manages to be fairly frightening and imposing even when she wishes not to be.

Tragic Flaw:
-

Personality:
Though her purpose in life is war and the transport of souls to Valhalla, Kára is a kind person at heart. Unless she is indiscriminately and viciously slaughtering foes on the battlefield, she is a quiet and gentle person, even shy when it comes down to it. If one were to get to know her, they would find that she is not, in fact, the terrifying, bloodthirsty warrior she seems on the battlefield but instead just a sweet girl. Even so, a combination of her reputation and magic has prevented her from making many close bonds with those other than her raven Diego. She does not seem to mind very much, however. Truly, she is the most kawaii despite being seen as kowai.

Recorded Information

Culture and Country:
Germanic

Languages:
German, Latin

Public Record:
Over the course of her many years as a Valkyrie, Kára have racked up plenty of kills as well as souls-delivered. In general, she traveled from place to place allowing herself to be hired where she saw fit, and proceeded to aid in the decimation of enemy forces by means of her velociraptor transformation. As a result the "Primordial Beast," as it were, is relatively well-known, but not famous by any means.

Private Information:
Unless she was on the battlefield, Kára generally kept to herself. As such she has very few interpersonal relationships, though she likes to be with small animals. They're great companions in human form and great meals in dino form.

Faction Information

Loyalty:
Despite being a member of Arnbjorn's Blue Bears, she only truly fights for the dinos of the world.

Military Rank:
-

Magical Girl Rank:
Heroic-Iron

Magic

Soul:
0/10

Magical Familiar:
Diego the raven. Kind of a snarky jerk when he speaks, not that he does so often. Despite this, he generally has good intentions at heart.

Magic Trait:
Positive-
Battle Immunity (Grazes, minor wounds, and weaker attacks cause no damage)
Frenzy (In battle, all attributes are increased, but their fighting style becomes animalistic)
Negative-
Lead From the Front (They're at the front of the charge, for good or ill)
Frenzy (Not in total control of actions. If stress occurs, there's possibility they will lose control of them self for a period of time. If ego loss occurs ??? happens)

Magic Abilities:
Flight- 1
Animal Form(Velociraptor)- 3
Standard Bearer(Intimidate)- 1
Fear(M)- 1

Power Manifestation:
Flight- As a Valkyrie, Kára has a pair of wings that she can use to have access to limited flight.
Rule by Fear- Due to her skill in both intimidating her allies into following her as well as frightening her enemies into losing morale, Kára is able to control the fear of those around her to a degree. This generally entails a vague power over level (a lot, somewhat, a little) and type of fear (fight vs flight).
Scary Monsters Primordial Beast- Kára has mastered her ability to transform into a fear-invoking, flesh-rending velociraptor; a beast from ancient times unknown to the majority of men. While in this form Kára is absolutely ruthless, ripping her enemies to shreds with no remorse and harnessing speed and strength beyond the power of most modern animals. While in this form, however, Kára's ability to think logically drastically decreases as penance for using the dinosaur's awe-inspiring power. Due to her skill in this ability, Kára retains a small amount of the velociraptor's speed and strength in her normal form.

> > Awesome. TBH, I was originally gonna do Dio but someone beat me to him. XD > > Yeah sorry about that man. Had to do something JoJo related, you know? > > (Also it felt weird trying to pull any other JoJo villain in. They're all OP or can't work, like Valentine.) It's fine, it's fine. But yeah, I'd also considered Kars, but his normal form is kinda boring and Ultimate Lifeform Kars is OP beyond belief. :P And now there's Giorno! More JoJo, moooore! XD
>@Joseph Joestar: No issues here, accepted. Awesome. TBH, I was originally gonna do Dio but someone beat me to him. XD
