Bio

I'll keep this short and sweet, maybe. I've been roleplaying since I was 14 back on the forums of some old zombie browser game and have had a soft spot for it ever since. I like to believe I've gotten at least a bit better over the years, but I still find myself shying away from the Advanced RP's. Was a member on Oldguild for around a year before the fall, but have been on-again-off-again with the new site for about the same time. Have tried other places, but I soon grew tired of them and find my way back here. I enjoy fantasy, sci-fi, and sometimes slice of life RP's, though I'm not a fan of doing canon RP's, as I like making my own characters. This isn't to say I don't like playing in fandom worlds, as I love them, but just not playing as one of the actual characters from whatever show/book/movie/comic it's from.

Outside of all that I'm currently enrolled in college and work full time in the receiving department of a warehouse.

@JurassicHole Nice name

And it would most definitely follow a small group of players. It's easier to manage and interact that way, in my opinion.

Now whether or not we travel is something to consider.

Thank you sir.

I agree with that, as time and time again I see RP's collapse from having too many players. A core group is best, usually 4-6.

I'm not very familiar with the Hellgate game/series, but a demonic themed apocalypse story, with a group of survivors/soldiers working together could prove to be a fun story. Maybe something along the lines of us going on a mission to seal a gate (not sure if that's how it works) or maybe just trying to take down some big bad demon that's come to our neck of the woods?
Sounds like it could be interesting. However, are you looking for a broad scoped type RP where we are all just inhabitants of this world? Or are you looking to make an RP with a small group of players working towards goals/arcs?

Regardless, you have my attention.

Withdrawing from the RP, though glad to see that it is in such a good state right now. Sorry for not responding sooner, but life sometimes turns you on your head at a moments notice. Apologies.
Awesome, can't wait for this to start! =D

Name: Oliver Nash
Gender: Male
Age: 20
Sexuality: Heterosexual
Appearance: His other eye is fine, that piece just acts as an adjustable lens like telescope.

Personality: Rough around the edges, can be a bit of an ass. This is due to his forced "military" upbringing, as his family thought it better for him to spend his time in cadets due to his once playful nature. Due to this he has a burning scorn for authority, as well as hardening him emotionally from others. The discipline of his upbringing wasn't a complete waste though, as it affected the way he sees combat, which often frightens those who witness him in the thick of things. At times he might cover this with a mean spirited jokes or a brawl, but really he just wants to feel as if he's wanted somewhere and for people to actually give a damn about him. However, if you're fighting beside him or you gain his trust/respect, he will gladly watch the world burn than let ill befall them.

Weapon of Choice: Like this. A pair of revolvers, always preloaded. Has spare cartridges for both on his person.

Other: Can get a bit carried away when in the midst of a fight. Rage issues. Also, his time spent in the military schools has racked up his tolerance for abuse. No real skill as a fighter, but will brawl with the best of them due to the punishment he will endure just to wail on the other.

do flintlocks even use gun powder?? *facepalm* cuz I said mine did. I don't know

Flintlocks use gunpowder, yes. All firearms use gunpowder, black powder was just a type of gunpowder that lost favorability over the gunpowder we use today, as it produced tons of smoke and fire when shot.

I am not an expert. I believe flintlocks were popular in the late 1700's, though, so I would say it's acceptable either way because it's still an older fashion. So whatever you prefer; I'll work with you.

Sweet, I'll get my CS up soon.
I was thinking of my character having duel pistols, but since you said you're looking for black powder firearms, would black powder revolvers be okay? Or are we sticking to flintlock style weapons?
Is this still open? Saw on the IC you were still looking, but just making sure.
