I just wanted to let you all know I fully intend to get all caught up and post by tomorrow night (hopefully sooner). Been really tired between classes, working, taking care of my puppy (you know how much work they can be, love him though), etc. But I'm still invested in this RP!

Pursuit of Power

Vivianne had spent hours getting ready, as had many people in Exodus. It was a luxury, getting ready for this night. Vivianne wasn't particularly fond of the third and final bath, though. The scent of the oils often gave her a headache, as they were sometimes so intense that she felt she couldn't get any fresh air. That being said, she greatly enjoyed the feeling and when the scent lingered on her skin. Not to mention she was a stickler for tradition.

Vivianne was in her personal quarters, being adorned by her servants. Marilla, her head ladies maid, was the only one to whom Vivianne would allow to dress herself directly. There were others to help, but she simply did not feel that she wanted to be touched by them, most of them she barely knew. It was strange for royalty, but it was something she felt passionate about. The others were scurrying around, had run her baths and brought the various things she had asked for. It was quite the commotion and gave Vivianne the familiar feeling of anxiety in her gut. Nights like this were fantastic, but also a danger. A distraction.

It wasn't much longer before Vivianne was ready, leaving her personal quarters with her guards at her side. She was dressed in a beautiful traditional gown, but nothing like what she wore when she was young. It was much more "appropriate" for a queen of her age. That was what she was told, at least. She wished that she could dress like she used to, but she knew that time had passed. She was commited to her king and had things more important to worry about.

She arrived in the courtyard, which was already filled with guests. The scene in front of her was beautiful, and the smell was decadent. Vivianne made her rounds, greeting everyone and leaving out no one. She had taken it upon herself to be a social woman, and it did well for the general standing of the royal family. People liked to know who they were being led by.

Walking calmly to her throne, Vivianne took in the sight of her daughter, already seated. She was a beautiful girl, and Vivianne was certain that she also carried her mother's eternal youth and beauty. She took her seat, turning her head slightly in her daughters direction. She kept her eyes forward, as to not seem as though she was being secretive. "You look stunning, Aamaya. That dress suits your perfectly. I am proud to call you my daughter," she said honestly. She took a sip of her drink after it had been tested by her guard. Wishing she could take long gulps of the delicious liquid, she held it in her mouth for a moment, savoring it, before swallowing. The drink of Exodus was one of Vivianne's favorite, and while many people may disagree with the choice of beverage for tonight, she felt as though it was appropriate for the special occasion.

Personality
Vivianne is generally seen as kind and forgiving. Unlike her husband, Harold, she is constantly in a state of calm and composure when in the public eye. She is good at keeping her true emotions secret. Few know that on the inside she is full of anxiety and has erratic moments in private. Many see her as soft, given that she is more likely to forgive a felon or take mercy on someone who has done wrong. The reason for this is that Vivianne often will give everyone the time of day and hear them out, and her compassion takes over. That being said, when someone has done a heinous act, especially against a woman, she can become quite cold. Overall, Vivianne is funny and enjoyable to be around, often surprising people who don't know her well with her sense of humour. She enjoys drinking, but doesn't get the chance to do it often (at least in public, or more than a glass of wine at dinner) as she has to keep up a certain appearance.

People who know Vivianne well will know that she is a bit quirky, and loves to have a good time. When she is able to let loose she dances, drinks, and acts similarly to that of a young person. Her soul never grew up, she likes to say. She is very knowledgable and feels strongly on womens rights and the treatment of women.

History
Vivianne comes from an upper class family with lots of land, money, and general assets. They were always close with the royal family, and Vivianne remembers growing up playing in the castle from time to time. She knew Harold vaguely, but she was more interesting in playing with the other children that would be around, as well as her siblings. Although she was never destined to be married to the king, she was pushed for greatness by her parents. It wasn't until she was a bit older that her parents began pushing her towards Harold. When he became king, they pushed harder. An unmarried king didn't last long, and Vivianne was the closest of her siblings in age to him. Being five years younger, she was still quite young when she began to persue him.

Over time, she began to resent Harold. It wasn't his fault, her parents were the one forcing this on her. She liked her wealth, but she didn't want to be a queen. Despite this she followed her parents wishes, and became married to Harold after a time. She came to accept her life and even develop some kind of love for Harold, even though it wasn't the life she had imagined for herself.

She became known as The Eternal Queen due to her seemingly eternal youth. She has a very secret routine of skin care and makeup to appear this way.

Weapons
She has been trained to use a bow and arrow, and carries around a small knife for personal defense. It's unlikely she'd ever need to use it, considering she has her own guards.

I'm new on this site. I saw this on Reddit, actually, and made an act just for this roleplay :) But I've been Roleplaying for like 7 years off an on.
I haven't read all the info in the first post in the OOC yet, but I looked at the most needed characters. I was wondering if I had to make one of those characters or if I could make a different kind of person. Although, I'm kind of interested in the queen.
