Charlie had enjoyed the last couple of days in the Coven house very much. Rooming with Jean-Luc and Jeremy had so far turned out to be an interesting experience. Jean-Luc had so far not taken down any of Charlie's decorations, but it still seemed like the boy was at least somewhat annoyed whenever he talked, even though he hadn't done anything actually insulting, so Charlie supposed that was an improvement. Jeremy on the other hand was pretty nice - he hadn't got rid of his habit of calling people by their surnames only, but that was a minor thing, and the two had enjoyed some decent conversation and friendliness over the last few days. And, of course, Charlie finally had a chance to have a good explore in the area around the Coven house. He hadn't gone fishing, but he had explored a bit. He had found some nice trails and some cool stuff, and some creepy stuff - at one point he stumbled upon what looked like a small graveyard (all the words on the stones had been weathered off), and he had quickly turned around upon seeing that. '

This particular morning, Charlie was out on the porch, enjoying the morning air (and a cereal bar) when one of the Elders came out to tell him that all the initiates were required up in the office of Sister Deborah. Charlie quickly finished his cereal bar, stuffing the wrapper into his pocket to correctly dispose of later, before walking inside and heading upstairs. Luckily he had already showered earlier, so he just popped into his room for a moment to change into a more appropriate shirt for the meeting, before heading over to Sister Deborah's office. He wasn't one of the first to arrive, nor was he one of the later arrivals - he got there comfortably in the middle of the pack, managing to grab a seat before the last ones were snatched up, sitting and engaging in some idle chit chat as the rest of the witches filtered in.

When everyone was in, Sister Deborah began. The new coven initiates were going to be going on a vampire hunt. That was a little more serious of a first assignment than Charlie had anticipated, but he supposed that they were going to have to do some like this eventually, so why not just start with it outright. Charlie was just relieved that their task wasn't to hunt down some werewolves. Charlie listened as Deborah split the group in two - he was going to be with Jean-Luc, Maggie, Rowan, Summer, Cassandra, Kate and Isolde. That was a pretty good group. Maggie, Rowan and Kate were nice, Summer was nice on the inside, and Cassandra and Isolde he didn't know very well but hadn't heard anything bad about them, really. The only slight issue was Jean-Luc - but a mission like this would be good for him, it would force him to work together more and it might warm him up a bit.

Jean-Luc, of course, dived straight for the file and picked it up to open. "I've never been there either, but I'm sure it can't be that bad. I've always found small towns somewhat charming..." He noted, glancing his eyes over the file. He didn't mind sharing, he was expecting to share with people the entire Summer after all. Now he was just going to be spending a few days sharing a room that was slightly smaller than the one at the coven. Jean-Luc had the right idea, so a little while after he left, Charlie also headed over to the armoury to see what he should take. He was familiar enough with vampire lore... So he knew that knives on their own wouldn't do anything. But he may as well take a couple just to be sure. He took 2 knives and 3 stakes, carrying them over to his room, seeing Jean-Luc down the hallway who had just finished packing himself. He slipped the weapons into his back, before grabbing a change of clothes, some pyjamas, toiletries, his book and a little extra money just in case. That should do it.

When done, Charlie hoisted his bag over his shoulder and headed out towards his car. When he reached, Jean-Luc, however, his smile faded a little bit. While Charlie had an unglamorous but certainly reliable Ford Fiesta, Jean-Luc somehow possessed an Audi. As a teenage boy. It didn't really matter, of course, because Charlie was just happy to own a car, but it certainly made his car look much less cool. He threw his bag into the trunk of his own car before walking around and leaning on his hood, giving Jeremy and Jean-Luc a wave, waiting for the others in their group to arrive.

"Yeah, it's not looking great." Tom said, sighing and shaking his head, flicking some goo off of his body absentmindedly as he stood there. He still couldn't believe Blake. Those Wings of Law bastards had obviously done something to him. Tom just hoped that it was something that could be reversed. If his best friend became evil forever, Tom would be very very upset. All those good times and memories vanished due to some fucked up brainwashing. He nodded at Grace, agreeing. "Yeah, you're right, we need to go and find the others." He followed Grace, about to take her hand again when the door suddenly and dramatically swept open, and in walked a very angry looking Priestess.

"Oh, shit-" Tom began to say, preparing himself to take Priestess down, but Grace took it upon herself to leap into action with a ferocity that he had not seen from her before - but he definitely liked. Priestess was sucked up into a large portal, her yells being muffled by the chirping and caws of birds coming from beyond the portal. Then it closed, and Priestess was gone, now enjoying some quality time with some furry friends. Tom looked up at the tropical birds, very impressed. Then he felt a hug envelop him from the side, and he looked down at Grace, a totally smitten look on his face as she told him how amazing she thought he was.

Tom smiled, and was just about to reply, when Grace suddenly fell asleep. Tom was so surprised that he almost dropped her, quickly grabbing her again a second later. "What the hell?" Tom exclaimed, just as a man walked into the room. A very (very) tall, very (very!) creepy looking man. Tom instantly knew that this man was not good news. He tenderly laid Grace down on the floor before standing up angrily, already prepared for the fight. "You get your fucking head out of my girlfriend's mind, and go back to Zero, or I'll beat the hell from you." Tom paused, assuming the man was referring to Grace. "I'm not fighting her! So you can just fuck-"

And then Blake walked in.

Tom was stunned, but he probably shouldn't have been. He should have known that Blake would not be far behind them after he shot their ship down. But he was still shocked. Blake looked... Weird. He looked creepy. It looked like someone had taken Blake, cloned him but taken away all of the positive things about him. Brainwashing was only temporary, right? He could get through to Blake. They had known each other for 4 years, if anyone could get through to Blake right now, it was surely Tom. "Blake..." Tom began. "This isn't you dude, they've done some fucked up stuff to your mind... It's me, Tom, your best friend! Come on, snap out of it, and turn on that asshole behind you!" Tom pleaded.

But it was obviously not working, because Blake began to raise his hands, and Tom knew what was coming next. Tom quickly scooped Grace off the floor in his arms and flew out of the way just in time before a massive blast of fire blew past them. Tom put Grace as close to the wall as he could, before looking around frantically for something to use. There was still a lot of that safety gel on the floor. He quickly floated over, lifting a bunch up into a massive, man-sized clump, before sending it flying at Blake, while Tom flipped onto the wall and ran along it towards him.

"Yeah, you better be the one flying..." Tom responded to Grace as the pair made their way over to the hangar. "The closest I've ever come to flying a plane was when Jamie let me use her remote controlled helicopter... And even then, I fucked it up and had to use my powers to stop it from breaking." Tom laughed at the memory as they reached the hangar, seeing that Cora was already there and waiting for them all. He looked around the room at all the minijets assembled there, luckily seeming enough for the whole group to take and fly over to Elmore Island, before proceeding to listen to what Cora was saying about the minijets. He shot a quick glance at Grace to make sure that she was also listening - Tom really didn't want to crash less than 10 minutes after getting into a new relationship.

The pair headed over to a minijet, Grace slipping in first so she could get into the drivers seat, Tom getting into the backseat. He immediately noticed the cramped conditions, having to press himself up right against the back wall, also having to bend over slightly - and Tom wasn't even really that tall. Even so, when Grace asked from the driver's seat. Yeah, yeah, I'm good!" He said, giving her a small thumbs up before she started the minijet's engine, bringing the vehicle humming to life. He tapped his leg up and down as Grace waited for the signal to get the minijet in the air. And then it happened, and the plane zoomed away.

Tom cheered excitedly as the plane zipped through the air, looking out of the window and seeing the other planes not too far way. He looked over to Grace as he spoke to him. "When this whole thing is over, I'm gonna take you flying with me all the time..." He said eagerly, smiling, before looking down again at his lack of leg room. "Well, I guess that I could probably do with a little bit more room..." He said honestly, before Grace clicked forward which now gave her no space. "Wait, Grace, that's too much, now YOU have no room!" He began, stopping as Elmore Island came into view.

Grace was right. It did look pretty evil. He hadn't really noticed it the first time... Probably because Priestess was trying to smush her face against his the whole journey last time he was here. He leaned forward and glanced into the rearview camera feed, spotting the plane and raising his eyebrows. Was one of the minijets a different model? Tom hadn't really paid much attention, but he remembered they all looked the same. "Hmmm... Odd..." And then Grace dropped the bombshell question. "What... What are you talking about, Blake?" Tom questioned, before the missile hit the ship.

Tom yelled out and instinctively leaned forward to grab Grace's shoulder before the jet crashed directly into the wall of the facility. For a second Tom expected to feel blinding pain or to hear Grace screaming. But he opened his eyes to find that he was still sitting in his chair. His leg felt a bit sore, but aside from that nothing was wrong. "Yeah, yeah, I'm fine. Thank god you're okay too..." His relief was short lived before he remembered what had just transpired. "I don't know, what the fuck? I think... Wait, let's get out and then talk." Tom watched as Grace opened up the cockpit, quickly unbuckling himself and standing up just in time to feel the goo fall all over him. He couldn't see, and he stepped out of the cockpit, wiping some of the goo out of his eyes so he could.

"God dammit..." He looked at Grace (who didn't look that covered in the goo), who looked back at him and proceeded to laugh hysterically. "Oh, stop it..." He began, before he let a grin fall over his face, and then he started laughing too. He leant down a little to let Grace pick some of the goo out of his hair, before glancing at the Wings of Law guy. "Just leave him there, I don't think he's gonna cause us any issues at the moment." He groaned as she mentioned Blake. "Shit, I don't know. The Wings kidnapped him, they must have... I don't know, done something to him, like brainwashed him or something... There's no way he'd willingly decide to attack us like that!"

Charlie smiled and nodded as Hana spoke. She definitely seemed like a very nice person, and from this extremely short conversation alone he could already tell that they would probably get along just fine. "Oh, I'm sure Kate likes you, some people simply... Struggle to show it a bit." He assured her. "Oh, yes, Jeremy does seem rather nice so far. The only trouble is he seems to bhave this odd quirk where he insists upon calling people by their surnames... But that's only a small thing, he definitely does seem nice."

Charlie was just about to continue talking when he heard some footsteps coming towards him and Hana, turning to see that it was Arken who was heading towards them. Charlie didn't mind Arken at all, he seemed nice enough despite his decidedly annoying habit of refusing to call Charlie by the name he actually wanted to be called by. And sure enough, as soon as the other boy walked up Charlie heard the word Charles come out of his mouth. "Arken, you surely know that I... Hey!" Charlie was interrupted mid-sentence as Arken decided to take it upon himself to steal one of Charlie's pancakes (which were admittedly stacked quite high).

"You know, you can get plenty of pancakes if you just walk past us about 20 metres." Charlie said, although he didn't really care that much. It was just one pancake, after all, and he still had plenty left to himself to eat. "But, yes, we were talking about just that. I’ve just been up there settling in, had to do a bit of decorating to get my room looking the way I want it to, but I think that I have it just right now. Well, that’s if Jean-Luc doesn’t decide to take them down while I’m gone… He doesn’t seem to be fond of the colour yellow…”

He turned to Arken. ”So, Arken. You’re rooming with David and Caleb, aren’t you? I don’t believe I’ve ever actually spoken to either them yet, have you?”

Tom couldn't help but crack a big smile as Grace opened up a portal, and through it (being lead by Rumi) walked Joseph and Jamie. He felt great about finally seeing his friends again - even though it had been like, 2 days at most since he had seen them last. But with all that had gone on in the last couple of days, it really felt like weeks. But the pair weren't alone - they were joined by someone who Tom was fairly sure he had never seen before, because he would definitely remember seeing someone (something?) like this before. Some kind of pink-purple creature. Whatever. He didn't particularly care who this person was at the moment, simply turning to Jamie and Joseph with the smile still on his face and saying hello to the both of them. Neither of them seemed to comment on the fact that he was holding hands with Grace.

And then, right in the middle of Grace giving a nice long explanation of what they should do, the hallway was suddenly filled with smoke. He held on tight to her before the smoke cleared to reveal a disturbing sight - they were now being pointed at by a whole armoury of scary looking rifles, being held by equally as scary looking Division X members. Tom gulped. Well, it looked like Division X had been taken over by the Wings of Law. Fucking great. He didn't think that there was any way they were going to get out of this one. The sound of Mr Impressive clanging his way back down the hallway was not a welcome noise, either. By now, Tom's betrayal was likely known... Somehow, they were all going to have to fight their way out of this.

But it wasn't Mr Impressive, of course. It was a girl. When she stepped into view, Tom had a vague sense that he knew who this girl was, although he couldn't remember that much. She certainly looked very cool, clad in her leather jacket and everything. And she was even cooler when she called off the Division X members from their armed stance. Tom let himself relax. It looked like they weren't going to be carted off or shot after all. But he still didn't remember who exactly this girl was, even as she went and gave Jamie a big hug. Then she walked over to him, and Tom suddenly remembered. "Oh, Cora!" He said before he was suddenly gripped in the tightest hug he'd ever felt, that made him audibly say "Ow."

Tom seemed interested in the moonbelt for a moment, before he quickly remembered that he could float around and fly anyway. Then, Cora put her arm on his shoulder and looked serious for a moment. That seriousness seemed to be justified, as it was announced to Tom that he'd probably be sent to Coldwater for a few months after this whole thing was over. Tom's mouth went dry for a moment as his eyes widened, trying to splutter out a response before Cora revealed she was just kidding. Tom groaned and rolled his eyes, before turning back to Grace. "Come on, let's go and get the best seats on the minijets."

"Ooh, that sounds good, I loved the first one too..." He beamed back down at Grace as she spoke, just being so adorable. "Of course you can call me Tommy, Gracie..." He continued to listen to her talk before the cough cut across across the room, originating from the Rumibot. Tom was a little annoyed that Rumi had seemingly ruined their moment, but he supposed there would be plenty of time for smooching and being cute with Grace after this whole thing was over. So he crossed his arms and watched Grace as she went over and created a portal for Rumi to escape from, before coming back to him. Tom couldn't help but smile as she grasped his hand tightly before the pair set off down the hall.

It wasn't long before they happened upon the other scene taking place on the floor. They happened upon it just in time to see The Shocker blast the cell phone out of Starbright's hand. "Woah!" Tom exclaimed, stepping back a little. He wasn't sure if he could do another fight... But then he looked down at Grace, who was urging him to do something to help. Well, he definitely wasn't going to back off in front of his new girlfriend... And Chad and Starbright needed help as well, he supposed. So he stepped forward, intending to send The Shocker simply careening back into the elevator to tie things up nicely.

And then suddenly, Chad came running forward at, well, bullet-like speed. Tom couldn't help but be impressed with the young hero, super speed was definitely a cool power. And it looked like it was going to be effective on The Shocker, who was tidily sent back into the elevator, which dinged and started to go down. But then, suddenly, a burst of electricity came from the elevator, stopping it in its tracks as The Shocker, clearly very angry, began to step back out, still rubbing his eyes a bit. "Don't worry, I'll handle this..." Tom said, quickly floating over to try and deal with it.

He quickly floated over and flipped gravity sideways for a moment, which sent The Shocker back into the elevator, Tom quickly floating in and joining him there. He narrowly missed a burst of electricity which flew over his head, keeping The Shocker pinned to the back wall of the elevator as he kicked his foot backwards, trying to find the button to send it back down. He felt his food collide with something, then heard a beep, and Tom quickly floated back out just before the doors closed and the elevator went back down. Tom sighed before turning around. "Alright, he'll probably just come back up again, so we should get out of here." He quickly walked over to Grace and took her hand again.

Charlie turned his head as he heard the door to the room open, and the third person who would be bunking in the room with them walked in: Jeremy. "Hello!" Charlie responded politely as Jeremy greeted him and Jean-Luc. It seemed that he had a quirk of calling people by their surnames... or maybe it was just something that Jeremy thought was funny. Definitely a little odd, but it was far from the most annoying thing in the world and so Charlie had no problem with just ignoring it for now and thinking about it internally, like he did with most things. Jeremy quickly got to work, placing his stuff on the bed and beginning to unpack. Charlie was thinking he might swap some of the kits around, when he heard a voice come from behind him.

It was Jean-Luc, and he sounded like he was being, at the very least, slightly critical of Charlie's decoration choices. "It's just the team colours of-" But then Charlie was viciously cut off by Jean-Luc, who proceeded to go give his thoughts on Watford. A rare event then occurred - Charlie frowned, just a little, and crossed his arms as Jean-Luc finished speaking. He knew that Jean-Luc had a capacity for being cutting - it was time for Charlie to attempt to politely talk him down. "Well, it's certainly true that we're not exactly world-beaters... But, you know, it's not about that, it's about the passion for the club and the community around the club! And the club will be back to where it deserves to be soon, I'm sure of it."

He thought that settled the matter and perhaps gave Jean-Luc some things to think about (even though he was likely just going to be more confused and/or snippy), and so planned his next move. He was still feeling a little bit hungry, so he thought that he might go back down to the kitchen to get some more pancakes. He had already unpacked all his stuff. So he slipped out of the room and went back down to the kitchen, grabbing another plate of pancakes while avoiding the groups of witches who had formed into circles and talking. Not like he didn't want to talk to any of them, of course he did... But he could do that later. He went back up the hall, and that was when he ran into Hana in the hall. He had half of a pancake already in his mouth, and so let out an extremely muffled "Oh, hello!" before swallowing it. "I know you're certainly not new to the coven... probably less new than me, to be honest, but have we actually had a conversation yet? Who are you going to be sharing a room with this summer, are you happy with them? I'm fairly happy, Jeremy seems nice, but Jean-Luc can be rather cutting sometimes..."

The next series of events went by in a flash for Tom. He felt the fire extinguisher slam into Mr. Impressive's head with a resounding clang, before another clang as Mr. Impressive hit the ground. He looked down at Grace, a giddy smile creeping over his face as he reached down to help her back to her feet. But before he could, he felt an incredible force hit him, and he went stumbling backwards before falling over. He probably should have guessed that hitting one of the most powerful Wings of Law members in the head with a fire extinguisher wasn't going to actually take him out for an extended period of time. But Tom was still determined, and he began to get himself up, when the space around Mr. Impressive and Grace suddenly became completely opaquely black.

"What the fuck?" Tom said, as he had to quickly move out of the way as Mr. Impressive came flying past him, hitting the wall with an almighty clang before falling silent. Good riddance. But what the hell just happened. Grace surely as hell couldn't do that. The fog cleared and Tom saw that a robot of some kind was standing there. Probably Rumi. How the hell he knew to come down to here, Tom didn't know. He probably had tracking implants put inside all of them when they were sleeping, or something. That seemed like the kind of thing Rumi would pull in the name of science and technology.

As he shakily stood up, he suddenly noticed that Grace was standing right in front of him. He was looking for the words to say, and began "Look, I-" before he was suddenly slapped around the face. "Ow." Tom said, holding his cheek. "Okay. I deserved that." Then Grace suddenly flew at him and hugged him super tight. "It's not your fault... It must have been awful seeing that on TV, it was a stupid idea trying to go undercover, I don't know what I was thinking..."

And then the mood changed, as Grace got on her tiptoes and got up really close to his face. Tom couldn't help but feel a slight blush fall over his cheeks as he looked into her eyes. "Of course it wasn't, why would I ever willingly kiss her anymore..." He said, before shaking his head slightly. "No need. I'll give you one." And then he did it. He pressed his lips gently to hers, his hands running through her purple hair. After what seemed like hours, but was probably only about 15 seconds or so, he pulled away, putting his forehead against Grace's and grinning.

"When this shit is all over, we should totally go out and get some ice cream or something. And this time it's, totally a date."

@Hitman @Scarifar

Tom internally smirked to himself as Beardman and Brightside immediately believed the lie. Grace was probably safely tucked away somewhere secure, and this was also gonna stall any efforts that the WoL would make at trying to track her down. In many ways, it was the perfect plan. At least, it was the perfect plan until Tom heard the alarms blaring and Brightside told Tom that he was right - Grace was actually in the building. Shit. Tom's heart dropped. By sheer coincidence, it seemed like he had just foiled Grace's attempts to take down the EAGLES. So he had first betrayed her on live TV, and now he was directly contributing to her getting caught. Not a good day for their relationship, not at all.

Tom had to put on a smug face as he was apparently proved right. "Yep, let's go..." He said as he followed the two heroes over to the elevator, then back down to the 14th floor. When Brightside suggested that he go alone to find Grace instead of having to go with them, Tom was extremely relieved, but simply nodded. When the others were out of sight, Tom took off running down the corridor on the 14th floor, not even thinking about the fact that Grace would not be happy with him at all if he did end up finding her. He just had to get to her first, before anyone else. If he didn't, then she might be picked up, imprisoned and she'd be lost forever.

Tom couldn't believe how huge the 14th floor seemed when he was running around in a panic. He supposed that it was made worse because he was running around in the dark. He kept running into the wall as he sprinted along. He stopped to catch his breath before a corner was turned, and that's when he heard something. The first thing he heard was the generators getting louder, and then he heard a very familiar, sickening "guhuhu." Fuck. Mr Impressive was here. And it sounded like he was in a struggle with someone. He had probably used the dark to accost some poor secretary and do horrible things to her. Tom could definitely put the find Grace mission on hold for that. He stepped around the corner, intending to just split Impressive and the poor girl apart in the dark and then run off.

And then the lights turned back on.

He saw Grace's purple hair first, before she was blocked by Mr. Impressive's fat head which proceeded to plant a horrible kiss on Grace's lips. Tom froze for a moment. "GRACE!" He yelled, immediately becoming blinded with rage. He looked to one side, noticing a fire extinguisher on the wall, which he promptly ripped off the wall before flying at Mr. Impressive. His immediate thought was to let lose with the fire extinguisher, and he did, coating Impressive's head in the thick white foam inside. "Get the FUCK off her!" He yelled, before simply whacking Impressive in the head with it, clanging metal on metal.

Charlie was awoken by a beam of golden sunlight which fluttered through the leaves and hit him square in the face. His eyes blinked open, taking note for a moment of the silence of the camp, aside from the distant noises of morning birds chirping away. He sighed quietly before checking his watch. 6:54 AM. Well, that was as good a time to get up as any, Charlie thought, as he sat up and looked around the campsite which was suitably illuminated by the morning light. It seemed he was the first one awake - he couldn't see anyone else sitting up or moving. Hang on, no... There was one empty sleeping bag. Charlie wasn't sure who it was, but it was definitely empty. He slipped out of his sleeping bag and packed up his things before walking over to the house.

He put his bag on the front porch, before deciding that he was going to go for a quick morning walk around the house to enjoy the crisp air for a bit longer in his pyjamas. It was a pretty uneventful walk, he saw a couple of birds, and a fox near the trees, but aside from that there was nothing. When the walk was done he picked his bag and slipped into the house, heading straight for the showers to freshen up and change into some normal clothes. When he got back down, he found that there were now a lot of people in the Coven house. When he looked at everyone, he saw that most of them were crowding around the bulletin board. Oh, it must be the room assignments! He hadn't even thought about it when he walked in, simply walking past the bulletin board.

He now walked up to it, craning his neck over the group to see who he was rooming with. His face scrunched a little when he saw who he was rooming with. Jeremy, the new guy, seemed nice enough. Jean-Luc on the other hand. Charlie couldn't deny that Jean-Luc was at least a little creepy. And he seemed to hate everyone, which was sad. But people being roommates tended to end up getting along in the end, right? So Charlie was at least somewhat hopeful. He then went and got some pancakes with copious amounts of syrup, tucking into them hungrily as he people-watched the rest of the coven. Calypso (looking absolutely miserable to be up early) was alone for a little while, but she was soon accosted by Dakota and later Alayna.

He finished his pancakes quickly and decided to head up to his room to grab the best bed before anyone else could get there. Heading upstairs with his bag, he found the room and opened it, finding that he was not the first one there. Jean-Luc had got there first. He blinked. "Oh. Hello!" He stepped inside, leaving the door behind him open. "Don't mind me... I'm just getting my things in order..." Charlie took a glance into the glass vivarium containing the serpent before climbing up to claim the top bunk. From there, he started pulling things out of his bag.

Charlie's bag, along with changes of clothes and essentials, contained more or less an entire kit to transform a small place into a Watford themed room. He pulled out a bright yellow and black poster, which he blu-tacked to the wall next to the top bunk, a few bright yellow and black scarves, which he draped over the bed. Then he pulled out some vintage football shirts, one of which was signed by a few players (a prized possession given to him by his father) which were also blu-tacked to the wall. Then he pulled out a football, which he allowed to roll off the bunk and bounce on the ground. By the time he was done, his area of the room was an eyesore of bright yellow and black. "Perfect." He hopped down off the bunk bed to admire his handiwork, not looking back at Jean-Luc.
