Yeah, I'm not the best GM and I'm not afraid to admit it. I love playing and whatnot, I just have stupid life stuff that keeps me from being able to do everything I want to do and keep my games alive. Heck, I have two or three RPG ideas I never even used cause I knew I'd likely let them die, "Fate is a Four Letter Word" and "The Forgotten" among them... And then there's games like Evolution's Army that got radically away from my original vision and me and the players didn't get along at all.

*shrugs*

Generally, the less power I have the more fun it is XD

if you had any idea how many dead RPGs I've GMed... I have a folder on my computer called "Roleplaying and Resources", full of old RPG opening posts.

There are RPGs I don't even remember writing. XD

I actually have an RP going right now, but, well... There's like two people who have expressed interest. Oh well, guess I need to advertise now.

And I mean... I had moments in those RPGs. But all in all I was terrible.

Comparing deities from different pantheons is like comparing apples and oranges.

The Greek (and especially Norse) gods are intended to seem somewhat like people. They're not to be questioned or countered, but they are bound by fate and seem more like a superpowered, very flawed person than some unstoppable, uncounterable force.

Whereas Marduk, from what I can tell, was intended to be both a metaphor for the conquest of Babylon over other city states and a vessel for the city's ego. They have neither the same intention nor the same philosophy.

In this RPG, with everyone playing under the same ruleset, it's not the best idea to say your character is the most powerful of the gods. The different myths conflict on so many levels that assuming anything that happened in yours is the absolute universe's canon will just lead to conflict. Practice cognitive dissonance, and let the RPG be the proving ground.
