I've got this obsession of having all the statuses on my profile page with more than 2 likes. I know that when the wailing winds of darkness come for me, these thumbs up will keep them away!

Amaranth post made with the assumption that we were walking to the junction room, as per Lugubrious post.
IC: Amaranth Desire, ohgodnotagain

The headache was coming back. She could feel it. The tapping, the thumping, the complete and utter pandemonium of whatever those accursed creatures were. She barely tolerated it, the little feet like a full on drum roll in her mind, the metal pattering the cymbals to the concrete's thumping. She winced, her right hand going to her temple, her feathers sticking up to their maximum height--but she couldn't afford to turn it off, she needed to be able to hear whatever they were coming if they decided to change from their current strategy of remaining hidden.

Still, she was definitely glad she'd have Saturday and Sunday to find a quiet place to sleep.

As her hand fell to her side, it brushed past the glasses Lauren had given her earlier--and with a flash of remembrance, Amy put them on, popping the earplugs in, and adjusting the control dials to drop the loudest sound in the environment to a reasonable level while not dimming the sounds that had a lower decibel rating.

At the sight of the man lying in the floor, her focus and enhanced vision revealed strange marks around his neck. Strange in quality, not cause.

"Looks like someone tried to squeeze his neck. Hard."

At a sideways glance from Lauren, she shrugged and looked directly forward, mouthing some people are into weird stuff.

Yo @Kaithas. I've mentioned in two different entries now that Robert ends up having twins. I'm not going to get marked down if I keep up that continuity for this challenge will I?

No, you won't, but it will make it harder on you. If you're going to do twins I expect two fully developed, individual characters, not a set of identical siblings with one small difference or two polar opposites.

Alternatively, (and this is likely the easier solution, both for you and me) just submit one of the twins as your entry.

@Forsythe: They don't have to be, but the fact that they weren't a Hunter and therefore wouldn't have those categories would be accounted for in the background and story. I'd also been under the assumption that anyone, not just hunters, could have a semblance, it just wouldn't be as developed.

This maaaaay come as a shock, it may not, but I have essentially NO knowledge of RWBY apart from the bits and pieces of episodes I've seen. So... If my impressions are wrong, tis easy to see why xD

This shouldn't be too hard. After all, Trad already has a daughter apparently.

that actually brings up a good point.

If you want to use the child from your character's death post (if they had one) I could feasibly accept it, since that was supposed to be the canon version of your character and this is too.

However, that really really cuts down on what I'm looking for in the second section, which is interaction between the parent and child.
The next contest is up!

Feel free to ask me any questions.

-The Who, My Generation

Judge: Kaithas
Type: Writing Assignment/Profile Creation
Deadline: 12 December, at 23:59 EST. 19 December, at 23:59 EST.

Forget the current characters, we're talking about the next generation! Whether your submission is the high flying daughter of your avian Faunus or the ever stoic son of your wannabe guardian, the stage is set for the child of your character to get their own time in the spotlight. This assignment's going to be a bit different, in that I'm expecting you to do two things.

First, you need to create a short profile establishing the parts of your character that you may not reveal in the second section. This section is mostly to keep you from having to use stiff, expositive dialogue to bring the details you need to your character, if it wouldn't fit in your scene.

Profile Form:
Name:
Parents:
Age:
Gender:
Race:
Weapon:
Semblance:
Personality:
Appearance:
Biography:

A short note: This is what I want to see from your character. If you can easily work in a section, you don't have to fill out that profile blank. However, I expect to see all of these details. I expect the first four sections won't be too difficult to work in, but some (like weapons, semblance, and a lot of the details of appearance) might be more difficult to fit in. Personality should be the shortest, as I should be able to see it from your story.

Biography is for the set up for the second section of this contest.

Secondly, I want you to write a short story, showing your kid interacting with his or her parents, or the most significant adult in their lives. Work in every detail you can about them, their relationship with this adult, etc, but don't do so at the cost of flow and style--that's what the profile part is for.

A few rules and guidelines
1. Emphasis for your profile and story should be focused on how the kid relates to the parent. Resemblance often goes more than skin deep, and I want to see that likeness. You aren't creating a standalone character.
2. I'd like your story section to be no longer than 1500 words, but I won't enforce that as a hard limit. However, if I think you're fluffing or including unnecessary stuff, I won't be the happiest Kaithas.
3. Profile length should not be super long. I'm looking at you, Onarax.
4. I want this to be the child of your canon character, not an evil dimension version. But they can have changed after after a child.
5. You're free to set this whenever you want, but I'd suggest when the kid comes of age or is in their teenage years. Babies aren't so motivating.
6. If you want your kid to have another PC as their other parent, please ask the player ahead of time. See the list below for those who have granted their permission for anyone.
7. Music isn't necessary, but a theme or soundtrack might increase my enjoyment of it XD

Universal Permission:
Note: It's generally a good idea to PM someone even if they've granted universal permission, just to see what they've planned for their character and to get their advice.
Women:
Amaranth Desire @Kaithas : Me! PM me to talk about characterization!
Estelle Nuit @Write

Men:
Kuhaku Shiro @harinezumikouken: PM him to talk about characterization information!
Lucas Schwarze, Sterling Johnson @HereComesTheSnow
Robert Fallson @Guess Who
Just running my idea past Lug, then the next contest starts.
Are you guys still accepting new players?

For the waiting list, aye. Talk to @Lugubrious

Did you claim it before Shadowkiller did? Shadowkiller claimed it a couple of hours ago, and I don't remember you telling me anything. Am I nuts?

I claimed it when Write claimed this one. I may not have PMed you but I was fairly certain I said something in discussion...
