Remember that if you ever feel like you're terrible at naming things, just know that my friends dragged me into playing a dark and serious MMO where a boss was named "Deathkill."

Well, Nethergate used to be a relatively normal place before something along those lines happened, so that should give you a pretty decent idea.
@lavulman So tell me more about this Haede person. ^^

Well, there's a bit about her in Serena's sheet, and I try to keep tight-lipped about this sort of stuff, but I doubt it'll come up that much in the RP proper, so what the hell.

Haede was a demon and (probably) one of Serena's parents. A lot of info about her has been lost to time, but what we do know is that she was a sibling to the two demons that currently make up Twinweave and would often clash against them, though it's disputed whether this was done out of any Sparda-style altruism or if it was just some petty power struggle as demons (and specifically that family) are often known to do. In the present day, she shows up in a few folk tales here and there, usually as a neutral trickster, but not always. She's a lot more obscure in the Twilight Fields region due to the culture's disdain for demons in general.
I drew an obligatory shitpost, but it's a few minutes late.

The real beast of Tour de Rouge was the Easter Bunny all along. True story.

THEY WILL SEEEEE WE'LL FIGHT UNTIL ETERNITYYYYYYYY

It'd be one of my favourites alongside DmC 3 if that was the case.

THEY WILL SEE, WE'LL STAND AND FIGHT TOGETHEERRR

I'm a bit more of a DMC1 fan if only because DMC3 has some tedious shit like the Doppelganger fight, those squid dudes that you couldn't attack for a while, and that mission where you switch the rooms in the tower around sprinkled in alongside the otherwise downright excellent gameplay, soundtrack, story presentation, boss fights, and the fact that they made that gem after DMC2 like god damn talk about bouncing back.

But as far as gameplay alone goes there's so much depth to DMC4 that it's a clear favorite for me, I've played through it like a million times and I still pick up new tricks every time.
Also a random thing I drew a while back after finishing DMC 4 and getting some inspiration back then xD

Dude, that's like the exact kind of look I was going for when I was thinking of concepts for Haede, do you mind if I use it for that?

Also DMC4 would have been goddamn perfect if they finished it.
@lavulman Bleach lol could have asked xD

Probably...

Hello hello everyone, thought I'd pop in and give a quick greeting.

Yeah, say hello to Vox, everyone! He brought another grill!
<== Had to reverse image search to figure out where that's from.
Well, most of the demons I thought up for this RP focus on more insectoid designs, so I'm glad it came out that way.
So I finally beat Griffon for the last time on Dante Must Die after several tries and my wrist hurts a bit due to mashing the square button so much but I'll still probably try to draw a thing tonight.

EDIT: Thing is drawn. Have a demon or two.

I'd have loved for so many of those tape recordings to be animated for even more cut-scenes, if there's a lack of them outside on the field then at least put more into Mother Base instead, feel like you're doing stuff by expanding your knowledge on who you're working with (Just for example Ocelot's story on how he got the nickname Shalashaska)

The Midge Ure cover of Man Who Sold The World was pretty good tho

I don't wanna take up more space with essays so I'll trim myself down and say that MGS2 had a lot of points where characters in the same room would switch on the codec and convey a scene primarily through audio much like the tapes, but they were still laced pretty tightly into the part of the story that we're going through, so they still felt meaningful (at least to me, I know people still like to shit on that game a lot lol). MGSV put a lot of emphasis on this whole "player avatar" idea with Venom but I never associate with him the way I did with BB due to so much of his story being told in this weird cassette tape dimension that happens completely offscreen.

Sounds good, sorry for a late response, I thought I replied to this. >.<

As you can tell of course, I'm a bit short on time as well. :P

It's fine, for what it's worth my schedule isn't nearly as tight now.
