I'm the queen of da land

"Don't hate me cause you ain't me, honey."

Name:
Konno Risa
Nickname:
"Konno-sama, or Kamisama works just fine."
Age:
Fourteen
Gender:

Land or Sea:
Konno was born and raised in the land village.
Personality:
Konno-sama is an extremely conceited girl. She's utterly convinced that she's the bee's knees, the sharpest tool in the shed, the creme de la creme; you get the idea. As surprising as it may seem, Konno is rather sensitive. She has this outer appearance of a confident, nonchalant girl, who's oblivious to anyone else's feelings but her own. But when the going gets hard, she's the first one to start bawling.
Biography:
Being a resident of the land, Konno grew up her whole life listening to the resident's awful stories regarding the villagers of the sea. She was being raised to hate and despise anyone who wasn't from her land. Her parents were the first to go ballistic when they heard that their daughter's school was going to have to mingle with those 'wannabe merfolk.' However, no matter how much influence her parents had, they couldn't do anything against the addition of those sea village students. Konno herself wasn't too happy to mingle with the new students, but at least they would be providing her with new entertainment.
Crush:
"Me, Myself, and I."
Just keep swimming.

I like how kate and chick are like "These fools." XD

yeeeeeh

they're veterans, they know what's up
Chick gave her surroundings a once-over, quickly coming to a conclusion; So we're getting a new batch of humans... Brushing a stray lock of hair away, Chick rested her head on the bars of the cage, letting her legs uncurl and relax. The collective murmurs that surrounded her irritated her and she made a swatting motion with her hand, as if to swat away flies. It was useless, really. Quite utterly useless. These new victims would either start spouting off some nonsense about escaping. Or maybe they would just try to disappear, curling and hiding in the corners of their cages. It made no difference. Chick had seen it all. Had witnessed all their fear, courage, and stupidity. Time and time again. It's getting tiring, really. Long ago she would have sided with them, tried to encourage them, maybe warn them of what was to come, but it was futile. No matter how hard they struggled, it would all end the same way.

It's not like she was always on the sidelines. Chick has experienced those same set of emotions repeatedly. One could even say she was a regular at the Hotel, even during its darkest moments. Despite the brief eternity that she had experienced, nothing about her seemed to age. Even after all of the carnage and blood she's witnessed, her innocent, round eyes seemed to stay with her. She had exhausted the majority of her emotions long ago. Chick let herself drift off; she closed her eyes but still made sure that she was still able to react to any sudden loud noises. She knew exactly what the next step was; there was no point in worrying over it.

Following a pair of wanna-be pirate twins? Yeah, Cecily, that's such a smart choice. However, despite the obvious dangers her choice could lead to, she was sure it was any better than looking for a place of her own. After all, even if she does manage to find a place, the guarantee that it would be completely empty was closer to zero. Basically, if she didn't want to be on the move the whole night, she was going to have to take her chances with these twins. What's with the eye-patches, anyways?

The sun was already setting, finished for the day. A ways off into the distance, Cecily could hear the muffled sounds of people. She knew they had to be survivors because of a few screams she heard here and there. Her eyes followed the source of the sound, finally resting on what appeared to be a Church. It was a mile or two away, but the fact that there would be other people there was undeniable to her. Better stay clear of that place. The more people there are, the worst it becomes. The thought of joining another large group disgusted her. After all, in big groups like that, what's the most dangerous is the people you're with, not the lurkers. She wasn't about to take another chance. With her decision clear, she turned her attention back to the twins, who were leading her to their shelter. Except for the eye-patches, they didn't have anything out of the ordinary. If anything, running from them wouldn't be too hard. "I'm Cecily." She stated to no one in particular. "For how long have you guys been holed up in that house?"
Cecily straightened her stance and took a few steps backwards. She was still in full defense mode, her eyes flickering between the crazy bat girl and what appeared to be a genderbent clone of that girl. Twins...? He got closer to them and helped the girl up. However, Cecily didn't relax a single muscle of hers. She was still debating on whether she should bring out her weapon or not. After all, she might have to fight against two people. She needed an escape route, and fast. But how?

"...stay with us for a while?"

What? Cecily turned her attention back to the twins, realizing the male one had been speaking with her the whole time. Maybe they weren't hostile? Doesn't matter. I still can't trust them.. Her eyes then rested on the sky, where the sun was slowly setting on the horizon, ready to end the day. Forget it, getting shelter is more important right now, Cecily. She turned her attention back to the twins and relaxed her stance. Although she hadn't heard a single word they had said to her, she assumed they were inviting her to their shelter. "Lead the way."
After a few minutes of walking, hustling and avoiding the troublesome lurkers, Cecily finally arrived near the outskirts of the town, where all the houses were mostly located. She walked past the first few, immediately crossing them off her list since they weren't to her taste. Sure it was an apocalyptic world, and the only thing of her mind should be survival. But come one, a house with smashed windows? a red roof with a yellow garage door? Forget it, she had exquisite preferences that needed to be met. Her eyes stole a quick glance at the sky, ever so often, noting the position of the sun. Eventually, she would have to settle with one of the houses. And she probably had to make sure it was clear of lurkers, so she needed to make up her mind.

Wait...Something doesn't seem right.. Cecily stopped in her tracks and concentrated on her surroundings, trying to see and hear as much as possible. Almost as soon as she stopped, Cecily's ears twitched to a soft rustling behind her. A Lurker? She thought, not daring to turn around yet. That's impossible. At this distance I should hear a moan or two...that means... Without wasting another second contemplating it, Cecily turned around, spotting two figures from the corner of her eye. One was dangerously close to her while the other a few feet away. She decided to deal with the closest threat, and while still turning around, sweeping her foot along with her and colliding it with the stranger's side. However, since she did it all in one sweeping motion, there was barely any strength involved.
The high sunlit clouds drifted lazily across the clear blue sky as Cecily strolled about through the desolated road. Aside from the wrecked cars and the occasional grunt of a lurker, it appeared to be an ordinary day. One of those rare days from before, where people weren't dropping like flies and reanimating shortly after. "If I didn't know any better..." Cecily sighed, fastening the straps of her backpack. "I would think I was just on my way home from class." But of course she wasn't. And things aren't ever going back to those days. As if to reassure her of that thought, a rotting soulless body moaned towards her, acknowledging her existence. Lucky for Cecily, that was the closest one to her, and as long as she didn't make any loud noise or wrong moves, she wouldn't need to engage the reanimated corpse. Instead, she quickened her pace, effortlessly leaving the thing behind and sticking to turned cars and the occasional tree. She was done scavenging for the day, so it was time to leave the town and walk to the nearest house.

"I still have enough time," Cecily murmured, as she looked up at the sun's position. She turned her attention back towards the road, making sure that her field of view wasn't obstructed.
