@xXSINXxumm... why would she join them and how can they handle them.
@xXSINXxit is but you need to be approved first.
Roxy shrugged she didn't know how impressive it was. She was good at her job and proud of the work she did even if most people looked down on it. She lead Devika up to the apartment. She liked living close to work. This way if one of her clients had an emergency she was close enough to help them. "The spare bedroom is yours. All I ask is that you stay out of my space. If you want to work out with the bag you can but ask before you touch the knives."

Sharing wasn't something that came easily to Roxy. She had never had to do it. At least not with another woman. She hoped it wouldn't be any different than sharing it with a bunch of teenage boys. As long as Devika respected her space it shouldn't be an issue.

Once they had all of Devika's stuff situated Roxy figured the next course of action was turning in the moving van. "I guess I will return the van. There isn't much in the kitchen so if you want to eat we will have to order in. Or I can keep something up while I am out."

"I never said it was going to be easy. They will be expecting it. Most of us are criminals after all." Roxy told them as she made her way down the hall. She didn't see any guards. Which made her suspicious. There was no way Vlad trusted them this much. Even with the cameras that were virtually everywhere no guards made no sense. "That is another reason I am not trying right this second. Doing so would be pointless."
Just curious. Roxy is something of a minimalist. She wouldn't have a problem with Devika putting things wherever she wanted. Only the workout area would cause an issue. Beyond that Roxy isn't going to care.
Sure to them going home or what? Also any idea how to progress the story? I honestly don't know how to help Jess settle in and we aren't going to make much progress until she does.
@FalkiThomasI know Griffin and the captain are at the top of the stairs. But this indicates he atleast made it into the tavern area:
The teen did not wait to confirm this, however, and took the opportunity given to him by the unexpected interruption to dash up the stairs. He ducked between the men, hoping to exit the establishment through the front doors.

This would put Isago and Ratte outside. Maybe on their way into a side or second entrance but they shouldn't be able to see the two in the basement. I think.
@FalkiThomas Wait that can't be right. Because Kai ran past Griffin and the captain. Which would put him upstairs not in the basement.

Downtown wasn't his favorite places to go. There were too many people around. There were so many smells and sounds that tracking was almost impossible. That was one of the reasons finding this shapeshifter wouldn't be difficult. Shifters were smart. It was rare they got caught. Their only lead was the disappearance of an old man. But there were many logical reasons for the man to have simply move away. He had been retiring because he couldn't handle his store any more. There was no signs of foul play.

When he saw the girls he moved from the shaded spot he had been waiting in. Despite the agency's protection he felt more comfortable in the shadows. "I thought we start in the business of the old man. It's our only real indicator that a shifter might be in the area." He told the girls. It wasn't much but there was never a lot when a shifter knew how to hide their presence and most of them were taught how to blend in with human. Supernatural beings had had to learn how to in order to survive. Luckily humans had become more open over the years but it wasn't likely that they would be accepted supernatural creatures being their neighbors anytime soon. Until humans more humans were open to people being different it was better if they blended in.
Can you explain the argument that they had? I honestly can't think of any reason for there to be one.
