@Crab... see if you can find out what she's interested in. Then ask her about it. No flirting need be involved to just break the ice. :)

Bio

Long time casual role player who loves tales of adventure! I enjoy tabletop games, play-by-post, and even LARP!

Wild (and sometimes weird) west and medieval fantasy games with an 'old-school' D&D feel are my favorite.

In real life, I'm a software engineer and wanna-be farmer. I have a little garden and some chickens that like to destroy my flower beds. But I like 'em anyway and they all have names. ;) Sometimes they lay me some breakfast.

Other hobbies include dog agility and archery.

Cedric scrunched his brow, at bit worried to send June and Wimena off on their own. But there wasn't much he could do about it now. "Constable, would you mind keeping an ear on those two and yell if there's trouble?"

Leofwine nodded his agreement.

Cedric turned to the half-orc. "Rockmar, want to check out that other tunnel? I'm worried that Eve was right that time is running short before we need to head back."

---

Te ceiling of the crawlspace is lined with twigs and small branches, so brittle that they break and crumble if bumped.

@Fubsy As Wimena rounds the second turn, she would see ahead that the crawlspace opens into a high vaulted chamber, resembling the interior of a great hall. In the center of the chamber is a column, rising to the ceiling. The column is decorated with dozens of stylized carvings depicting the deaths of wolves. The column itself seems to be made of alternating sections of stone and wood. Hung from the column like trophies, some 20 feet above the floor, is a long wolf-spear and a bronze shield.

@Lunar June, still in the crawlspace, notices a small, but distinct difference in the gravity just above her, as if there is an open area about 2 feet wide and that the branches and twigs were put in place specifically to camouflage the hidden passage.

@Marcus XVI@Wick The alter in the circular room looks something like this... except not as fancy and there is a huge cave bear skull sitting on top of it. (My google-fu has failed me in finding the perfect image for the IC!)

@Fubsy @Garth Ooops! Missed Garth's post before I put up the tunnel description. Either way... description stands, even if she doesn't head in right away. :)
@Fubsy The tunnel is 3' square, making it tight, but easily traversable by the halfling. It turns to the right (west) almost immediately, then continues straight for 30' before turning right again (north). Does she continue?

@Marcus XVI Go ahead and narrate its death scene. :)

@BKburke You can join! However, we're in the middle of a scene where it wouldn't make sense to introduce a new character. Feel free to PM me and we can work out how to get your character into the story. :)

Wait, my character was teleporting when I was gone?

No, she's still here. We just assumed she would follow the group into the northern chamber, but if you wanted to have her investigate the unexplored room to the east, that would be cool too!

Easy to cover more territory when the party splits up. ;)
The ghoul's nostrils flared as Tarquin's blood was drawn and it launched itself at the drow just as Tarquin plunged his rapier into its eye. The dried out husk of a person fell sideways, but even as it was falling, its belly heaved. Barely had it landed before a humanoid-headed serpent burst forth, fangs directed toward the dark-elf
@Marcus XVI I didn't forget that I owe you a reply... on my phone so a bit slower!
Unaware of what was happening in the other chamber, Cedric handed the lit stone that Eve had given him to Wimena, then cupped his hands so that she could step into them and on a quick 3 count hoisted her up so that she could get a look above the ledge. There she would see a crawl space. It goes back only a few feet before turning to the west.
@Marcus XVI (and anyone following after him...)

The worn stone steps descend into a circular cave walled by tall stone slabs inscribed with dark runes in the likeness of massive cave bears and of warriors donning the skulls and pelts of the bears. The bears and the bear-warriors are shown triumphantly battling dozens of foes.

In the center of the chamber is a collection of stones resembling a table or alter. Atop the slab is the skull of an enormous bear.

Barely had Tarquin's rapier cleared the entrance to the room when the ghoul attacked... leaping at his right side, intending to rake its nails along the elf's belly...
