Bio

This is my bio, I can't rap, or sing for that matter, and it's been years since I've enthusiastically played an instrument. I don't think I've even listened to a full album of Kenyesus' work. But eyyyyy, who can't appreciate a talented man with a god complex.

Thanks, hopefully I will do things correctly the first time, I should have a character sheet up soon.

EDIT:

Hi, its been a while since I got on this site, but with finals dying down I hope that I can get back into it. Would it be cool if I created a character, or is it full/awkward to join now?

Tanji Tsugiharu

Sunagakure

Tanji skin was a bright pink, the constant scrubbing and dips into multiple baths finally bared their fruits. At least he was clean. Clean and well informed. Well, as informed as you would expect. A simple head count, and it was quite a bit, as well as their routes and habits. Most of the "bodyguard" were thugs and miscreants meant to be meatshields for their patrons, untrained in martial skill or any shinobi arts. Still it wouldn't hurt to plant seeds of deceit within them. Tanji formed his seals for his false sound on lone guards and the heads of wandering patrols, it didn't take much to plant the genjutsu but would serve him immensely soon enough and he highly doubted any were skilled enough to notice it before it was actively used. Tanji could send a mass message to all affected or use a specific sound or voice to those he could see in a decent range.

After his seeds planted and a quick recount of the "staff"'s strengths Tanji started making his way back to the room and wasn't surprised when he saw guards posted about in greater number around the room when he noted that the head honcho himself was already conversing with the Commander. A fat and rather ugly man. Crude and vulgar looking, he seemed the type that would need to be monitored and fixed at the Confederacy's discretion. The conversation was civil enough, then the Commander directed the piggish man to speak with Kanata. Tanji raised a brow, but just nodded to his 2 allies and made his way to sit behind the Boss and formed seals hidden under his bathing towels for false sound and placed them on the Boss and Kanata. A little trick he found when working a diplomacy scandal with the 11th, a psuedo-one-way-telepathy that worked on only those he could actively see, or simply for all those within range if no unwanted listeners were affected. A bit limited but it allowed him to relay information to his comrades without the chance of being overheard.

'Boss and comra- er, Kanata' remembering her desire to be less formal, 'Don't be alarmed, just wanted an easier and more discrete method of communication with you. It is only one way, and your mind is still your own, but I made this especially weak and can be dispelled with a simple thought if you do not like it. If you wish me to keep using it, roll your right shoulder,' He waited for a reply. He would continue with the report of enemy number and limited capability. 'Do you receive? Shrug for affirmative, remain still for negative.' He did admit it was a bit jarring to suddenly hear a voice from nothing, but he hoped they were familiar enough to accept why he didn't want to reveal this out loud with such thin walls. Still he understood if they wouldn't want to be put under a genjutsu as the art had bad reputations that sometimes trumped its utility.

Tanji had been confident with his answer and even nodded along to Kanata's own hypothesis, but found it doubtable. At least she had nothing to lose playing this 'game', it was Tanji face that was on the line here. Still with his best attempt, he would be a liar if he said he wasn't the least bit smug on that facet, and the Boss seemed to nod at some aspect. Unfortunately all that became moot as he got really intimate with the concrete floor. As he clutched his jaw he tried to ponder where exactly that force came from. Turns out his theory wasn't as fool proof as he thought. To make it worse he believed he heard comrade Katana taking a forced dive into some pond; poor girl, outspoken as she may be, just wasn't having her day.

Nevertheless, the hotsprings were an impressive sight to behold. Built upon a volcano that fed hot water from a multitude of natural springs, the whole resort exuded a calm relaxing aura. What came to a surprise were the certain types of activities that many of the other spa-goers had partaken in. It made Tanji rather uncomfortable, but he didn't want to create a fuss about something that the Boss wasn't bothered with.

When they arrived to their own quarters and the Boss making itself comfortable and spoke again, "If you lot wanna get butt naked or just comfy, by my motherfucking guest. We fucked around, now we discuss business. Gozoboro is probably getting informed that I'm around so he won't waste time gathering assholes for protection and addressing us directly."

Tanji just gave a nervous laugh and kept his modesty wrapping the bathrobes tighter to himself. However he didn't slink at the offer of drink, and partook in some of the sake as he nodded at the Boss' acknowledgement of a sorta-time-limit to their "delicate" operation.

"I want your prognosis of the area. Tunja, how many cunts will be an issue once we get volatile? Kanata, got anything to monitor assholes that may be eavesdropping. I can't tell you how much I fucking hate peeping Toms. In any case, you both know your roles when the fat fuck gets in reach in and shit hits the fan, right?"

Simple enough instructions, it was for the best that the squad prepare now. Undoubtedly, the Boss could easily defeat a battalion of guards but that would be counter-productive to their goal and Tanji hoped that they wouldn't have to go loud. Still, he could do well to know the exact numbers present. He nodded, confident he knew his duty. "Got it Boss," and then turned to his squadmate, "Good luck to you friend, hope you do the Confederacy proud," before giving a slight smile in a teasing manner, "And hope you don't get to know more of the Boss' martial prowess."

He excused himself, playing the role of intrepid tourist, doning his innocent but forgettable face as he made himself to the public baths. He'd resign to just staying close to the showers, cleaning himself as he set to eavesdrop information from the bath-goers. It didn't have to be much, passing gossip from clients and employees alike in the room, and if he was lucky spotting an actual guard he could "persuade" to give up some information. This would go on, Tanji seamlessly transitioning from showers to spring to getting dressed and moving to another wing until information was passed along to his ears.

Nursing a glass of the brandy on ice Tanji and having returned the expression of holiday greetings. Half-way into his glass, he summoned enough courage to ask the commander his question, and now waited anxiously for a reply. When it replied in kind rather than admonishment he listned intently as if any lapse of concentration can have him missing fatally vital information. What he got was to his surprise and confusion. The commander hailed from his own home village. His quiet, easily forgotten village spawned one of the great commanders of the Confederacy. What confused him was that Tanji hadn't heard of this fact before, you'd think a village would claim a great shinobi as their own pride and local legend. Likes of which told around fires, bars and maybe hearing the name in passing as you walked to market. But Tanji, try as he might, couldn't really recall such. He remained quiet still expecting the 2nd part of his question to be answered, but the commander turned that around on him, to create his own theory on what the Commander was. It wasn't what he wanted, but not entirely unexpected from the whimsical commander. He at least had something to mull over on their ride to the operation point.

Slowly finishing his drink, the door to the luxurious transport opened, and revealed someone Tanji hadn't expected. He didn't know her personally, but due to his work, he knew those features from a mile away. A daughter to an influential clan, of all the people Tanji would think to share a passenger cab with in his short life, this wasn't one. Still she was a shinobi and was subject to serving the Confederacy, and as such Tanji resigned to just observe her. She entered rather nervously, but it was with purpose.

"Umm..." Umm indeed, the situation between her and the commander seemed awkward, very awkward, you could cut diamond with how hard and thick the air inside the interior was. Tanji wasn't a stranger to surprises and just took this new comrade as such and nodded a hello as she sat. Tanji noted her prosthetic, it was as the reports said of The One-Armed Girl. An impressive tool and weapon, a sentiment to the medical advancements of the Confederacy as well as the affluence of the family that can afford it.

"So... What are we supposed to be doing today?" At that Tanji raised an eyebrow, he didn't really know what was going on, but the least command could do was brief the woman on the matters of the mission. He sighed, he couldn't really voice his complaints, the higher ups probably knew better, and he wasn't one to disobey orders. Soon enough the forth and final member of the group had shown up.

"What are you doing here? Are you coming with? Please tell me you are! I won't stand being alone with these two guys for the rest of the mission! And there's something I just need to tell y-!" Comrade Kanata seemed to be in a chipper mood. Ecstatically greeting Miss Mirai. Oh boy! She must be just as excited for the mission an Tanji. Good for her. However, she seemed flustered and hot though. AH! Pre-mission jitters, clearly. Tanji thought nothing else of her flushed face, prolonged physical contact with Mirai (chalked it up to them being old friends), or the minuscule and rather rude acknowledgement to him and the Boss. Actual;y, the situation was beyond him but at least the Commander would know whats up, Boss seemed calm enough, slowly drawing out a phone, probably to give a situation repor-

"Fucking dog weed shit fuck ass splooging cum guzzling dick fuck anal grinding buttplug fanatic donkey dicking fucktard. The fuck did you do order some other kid, like holy fuck, I have you a list with motherfucking two names ... No screw you Mado, I don't give a single fuck about your goddamn stress about some retarded divorce ... No shut the fuck up I'm the boss. You've done it now dick head I ... Oh..."

Turns out this came as much as a surprise to the commander as it was to Tanji. The poor man on the other end had gotten the full extent of the Boss' frustration, and it didn't take the Boss telling them he made his conversation partner cry if the soft sob-like pips through the small speakers had anything to do about it. In the end, the limousine would offer a small lift to the newcomer before she herself would be dropped off to her own mission, an odd request given the nature of Tanji's squad, but a request nonetheless. Before long, the vehicle was on the move and the mood returned to normal.

The ride was calm enough, Katana still rather nervous about what Tanji asssumed was the mission. He can tell well enough that the young woman didn't really see the Boss and him as comrades. He'd like that to stop if they are to be a cohesive squad, and noted that issue must be addressed. For now at least, she can find solace and respite in the noblewoman she seemed keen in talking to. Tanji nodded to the flow of idle conversation, he made some token effort in remaining friendly and responding as needed, as well as following the Boss' wild and crude stories from its home town. Tanji mayhaps choked at the jokes made the expense of his departed mother, but he didn't have many memories of her, and wouldn't think the Boss' jokes had any truth to them. What came to a greater surprise was that the noblewoman was unceremoniously ejected from the moving vehicle as they passed her drop off point. Tanji stood wide-eyed at the commander's nonchalant attitude in subjecting an influential nobleman's daughter to an unorthodox method of exit. Still he didn't question it, again chalking it up to some obscure Confederate tactic he hadn't known of.

Finally, after the ride and the odd circumstances that went with it, the trio arrived at their destination. An opulent display of luxury and relaxation that was the spa. Again, Tanji was awestruck at the sight.

"Welcome to paradise. Ain't this just the type of place you'd see in a wet dream? I mean, I'm already horny as shit by looking at this place. Speaking of cocks and pussies, now is about time you have me an answer, Tinji."

Tinji Tanji was broken from his daze and turned to face the commander. He had mulled over the answer during the trip, tossing around possible answers. Tanji hadn't known the boss was from Kusagakure, so perhaps some bad sentiments existed between the Boss and the village. However, the Boss was clearly well known in the Confederacy, and even the senior members chief administration held some sort of fear or begrudged respect for the commander. Plus the Boss held an air of experience, its cockiness wasn't unsupported, from the reports of the 11th the Boss was something to be feared, and even veteran agents spoke of its antics from the perspective of bewildered newbies. The Boss clearly had many years of service. However its attitude and personality disputed that, it didn't speak as a wizened and grizzled vet awaiting retirement, but as a hot-shot up and comer. It still had many years left in its presumably long life. Its physical appearance was also odd, the few tales of cat folk he knew were just folk lore meant to scare kids in his home town, so maybe it was created in a lab... But it didn't seem to

Sighing, he came to a conclusion, "Alright, boss bear with me. You were not too found of our home village or perhaps vice versa and sought to make your name else where. Also, I presume you to have been a skilled and talented soldier that quickly rose in rank rather than a nobleman given offices. Because, in all honesty and with no offence, a personality like yours wouldn't win too many political seats or allies. For your duty and valor in field you were given a high command and your form is merely a result of your skill. I presume you to be a sage of some sort of a Cat-related summon, likely a contract with the Ninneko and purely going with conjecture of the mythical belief of cats' 'nine lives,' you have psuedo-longevity while taking upon the characteristics of cats."

A long answer, one Tanji put a lot of thought into. Sure the files back in the Intelligence Corps. had the true info, but Chunin of his caliber were not permitted to view into it and use its information. So he found he had to rely on inductive reasoning. He looked the commander unflinchingly, albeit a bit nervous of the wallop he may receive, but this was the truest answer he could think of.

Its not uncommon for Tanji to be in a new town or city due to the nature of his work, constantly being thrown between posts and duties he had taken into stride the myriad of people and places. In his mind, as long as the Confederacy came first in their minds it didn't really matter where you came from, whether you be some nobody from a politcically insignificant fishing town or an Elder of a core Village. So that said Tanji arrived in the great village before dawn at their main port of entry (or, airport rather) eager to begin the mission, and like his other posts, he spent the precious few hours prior to the intended meeting time in familiarizing himself with local customs and traditions. It didn't usually take him too long to fade into the background and begin his impromptu observations at a nearby market, mall or park. Knowledge of small details and the preparation to effectively use that information is paramount to his craft. Tiny inflections of words, local slang, habits of greetings and dress, as well as local accents are just as vital to a foreign sleuth, as to the whereabouts of their targets.

However, a few hours in observation and casual practice didn't instantly garner him the knowledge to pass off as a native-born villager, far from it in-fact, but it was a step in the right direction and would hopefully aid his squad in the whole process, and may even be a godsend if they needed to spend more time in-village for more subtle work. As the sun rose higher into the sky, Tanji believed it was as good a time as any to make his way to the embassy.

What he found there was not what he expected. His time spent doing the grunt work of the 11th corps. conditioned him to squalid conditions in his posts, so he was colored surprised when the gate guards directed him to an ostentatious limousine. Not one to look the gift horse in the mouth he quietly slipped to the waiting vehicle as a door was held open to him. Nice.

He found his commander already there, whom made itself well comfortable in the luxurious interior. It was nothing to sneeze at, spacious and rich in choice of adult beverages (the drink of champions), Tanji believed this must have been some sort of sick mind trick that the Master Genjutsu users at the 11th corp. would play on him. He even flared his mind's walls just to be sure. So shocked was Tanji that it didn't all just fade away, he found himself having to pick his chin off the ground before snapping a hasty salute to the Boss, "Reporting for duty Boss!... Um, say, if I may inquire, is that a Otogakure Fire Brandy Vintage?" nodding towards a tall bright red bottle sitting at the mini-bar by the commander's outstretched feet. God bless the Confederacy.

Though a connoisseur of fine blessed spirits, Tanji nonetheless would understand if the commander didn't permit a drink during a mission, but wouldn't be remiss if Tanji be allowed a "small sip" at the devil's water. In any case, Tanji -checking to make sure the privacy glass of the driver was shut and the doors well closed- believed it to be as good a time as any to ask some questions concerning his commander.

"Boss. If I would be permitted to ask -don't answer if you don't want to- Um... exactly where are you from, and, uh- as rude as it might be, may I also ask what you are?" as timid as his questioning was, with a few stutters along the way, Tanji was nonetheless very solemn, taking care that he didn't come off as a prying annoyance or tactless fool.

During his assignment to the 11th corps. the regulars he worked under taught him a very simple but essential acronym that was vital in ensuring that the Confederacy stay as a unified state: R.A.P.E, Reassignment of Patriotic Emotions, a crude term to be sure, but not easily forgotten. Put in simpler terms, as the commander described it, "Legal Engineering," meant a citizen had abused his government issued freedoms and the state just wanted to repair it back to acceptable standards. What a time to be alive, Tanji believed. He would be running support for a great Shinobi, and all the while ensuring the public's safety. As far as Tanji was concerned cutting an artery of the rebellious body was just as important as making sure the populace was compliant. As such, Tanji was far from disappointed at the mission parameters and shook with anticipation. Pumped as he was he even dropped some of his stiff professionalism and whispered to his comrade chunin, "Isn't this great! Expediting the process of law-keeping through action, aren't you glad to be chosen by the commander?" he grinned a beaming grin before resuming his attentive stance.

Oh course this mission meant he must be steel himself, those weak of mind and soft of zeal made poor agents in "convincing" dissidents on the glories of the state. Whatever the commander had in plan he'd need to keep up with it. Tanji was a zealous son of the state, but he knew his limits and hoped that the commander did too. Efficiency was invaluable in this line of work in that stalls and fuck-ups would only lead to possible escape or violent retaliation of the prey, Tanji just hoped his skills would be up to par and not prove to be a disappointment to his commander and comrade as they prepared for their visit to the Village Hidden by Rocks.

"No other questions from me Boss, I hope to serve you well." Admittedly Tanji was curious to ask what exactly the commander was and where it was from, it being a "free-spirited" persona in its own right in addition to its queer form, Tanji opted to just ask it in private once they were dismissed. Of course he'd rather not pry if it didn't want to talk about it. Additionally he thought about asking some questions from his fellow chunin. Mostly friendly questions, where is she from, hobbies, preferred M.O.'s, but one additional question he asks all squad-mates. This one was a bit free-form and arbitrary, but it was quite serious to him, he made sure to always ask with a nuetral and objective gaze, "What does the Confederacy mean to you?"

"C'mon dude, no need to be all stiff." As she dismissively waved her hand, "Go get a drink, sit down and then drop yourself in one of this fucking sweet sofas. And then just call this thing... thing," turning to the commander. "Because I dunno what I should fuckin' call it either. Aside from the obvious 'Yakoul' shit, but that sounds too intimidating... hm... how about 'Neko-sama'?"

Tanji didn't really know how to process his lackadaisical comrade making herself at home in the room. At best it reassured him that his new comrade would be confident, which usually translate into competency in the field. However, her lack of professionalism and respect irked him a bit, but he felt that it would be no use burning bridges now, and he just remained as he was. A great shaking (and moderately sweaty) statue of the room.

He felt like he was chewing on glass nervous as he awaited a response from his commander. He swore his back couldn't be anymore straight than it was now, trying his best to not seem like a total fool and jagoff. He noticed his commander's annoyed expression, and cursed at himself for his failure to remain composed.

"Just, call me Boss." It started.

"Uh, right, sorry Boss, will do Boss. Thanks for hav-" He stuttered through, obviously not learning from his previous foul-up, before the commander started up again,

"So you liked it there huh? I didn't. Piece of shit white room, absent of any fucking thing to do other than wait for some incompetent idiot to find intel we likely know about. But but but, I gotta admit, your interrogation skills are giving me a raging boner," speaking about his current post with the 11th Intelligence Corps. He nervously laughed on what he assumed, no, hoped to god, was a crude penile joke.

"Ah, yes of course Boss. I hope I will be prove to be useful, Boss,"
Tanji giving a full salute but was ignored as the Boss, sauntered towards a kettle of coffee and took a direct swig, but only caused It to cry foul at the temperature. Tanji would have laughed at it's "Cat's Tongue" and sensitivity to heat, but thought it better to just remain stone faced and ass clenched. His eyes stayed over the new mess for a good while as he always believed Military Buildings need to remain spic and span, but resigned to just let a janitor handle it afterwards.

Boss now in a much fouler mood, the Boss set its attention to the other Chunin in the room. Unexpectedly, as its casual demeanor would have Tanji believe It to be a lax commander, it struck the girl for her behavior. Admittedly, Tanji believed some sort of reprimand was required, but none as sudden and strong with so little effort. The girl would surely feel it the following morning, a fact made Tanji a little bit sorry for his new comrade, despite initial offence. This only proved that the fear and respect for the monster that Tanji felt was rightly placed. Tanji still tense, Boss spoke again.

"I forgive you this time. Anyway, I ain't gonna hide it, us three are going to visit a very suspicious someone. I'll need your skills and your balls to handle this fuckery. So hopefully by tomorrow ... You two won't be as tense. I mean, I do think a master - subordinate relationship should be held highly. We can tell each other anything, right? Am I motherfucking right?!"

Tanji sighed, at least content with the Boss' willingness to form a cohesive squad, it was a step in the right direction. He was still anxious, but now more confident with the Commander's encouragement.

"So, got any questions for ol' fucking me? About the mission or my retarded self?"

Tanji hesitated at first, but remembered Its words of "encouragement" and came forward with definite purpose, "Boss! It will be an honor serving with you. Firstly, I believe it best that as a squad we know about each others' strengths. I already told you in brief about mine, but I couldn't quite get yours," He looked between his commander and comrade. "Secondly, you mentioned our mission concerning intelligence gathering, and I assume it would be directed against the traitors, but where exactly will we be operating and what sort of information will we need to gather? Counter-espionage? Military plans and tactics? Or maybe," Tanji's eyes lit up in expectation, "a census on citizen loyalty."

Tanji had arrived to the meeting with everybody else that was involved in the kerfuffle outside. Despite the rough beginnings of the day the higher ups were able to organize a suitable and informative conference. Many of the operators at the intelligence corps mumbled about the oddity that commands the confederate's armed forces, but he didn't expect it to be a foul-mouthed feline calling the shots. But hey, in a world where wrinkled old men can summon talking toads and monkeys, it was more comical than unsettling. That said he made himself comfortable and listened into the Commander's speech, he chocked on his own tongue and squirmed around his chair listening to how nonchalant and informal his soon to be commanding officer was, it was a far cry from the prim and proper image of powerful Kages and Sages, but you wouldn't catch him complaining out loud. He did however enjoy its speech in showing the rebel scum what-for with its jeers and japes at the Red Sages' mothers' promiscuity. He went as far as actually "Whooping" at that part. By the end of the public speech he applauded and got up to meet whoever he would be attached to.

What he didn't expect was to be personally addressed by the head-honcho itself as it directed them to a rather luxurious room.

"Take whatever the hell you want. We're going to get comfortable all three of us. So, Tenji was it? Who cares? Anyway, how was it with that fucking buzzkill in the 11th Corps? Jeez, tell me about your life there actually. As for you, Kanata, yeah that's it, just tell me what the fuck you were doing in that shithole in the first place. You know, the Festival no sane kid would go unless they were forced through death threats."

Tanji was visibly nervous, and didnt really know what to do with his hand -or body- in general and just opted to stand stark straight, and look just above his commanders head without actually looking into its eyes.

"Uh- I mean, Sir- or Mam, whichever you think best fits, sorry," he stuttered, before recomposing himself, and shouting in response louder than what was required, "The 11th corps. does the confederacy proud. Their enigmatic tactics are what you would expect from such a group, but to tell you the truth I felt very out of place and uh- uncomfortable, when on very long missions with them, Sir, or, ah- Mam. I mostly provided screens and distractions for their louder operations and coverage in their more subtle approaches." He hesitated once again, "(Uh... what else), OH! I also served as primary interrogator for the squads I was attached to as they saw that my loyalty and zeal were very hard to compromise when I delved into enemy heads sir, -or, ah- mam."

He finished rather weakly, hoping that his answer was sufficient as he waited for a response.
@KenyeIsMyLifeSmall thing, Tatsuya didn't get on the ground, he just bowed very low. Not a big issue, but it does make a difference, so I thought it should be mentioned.
