Illunabar is definitely not actively evil, and the things she does don't harm anyone generally. But is she an actively good goddess? Would she go out of her way to protect mankind or some such? Maybe I'm wrong, but Ily is more interested in good stories and her own projects rather than the 'greater good' or the removal of suffering or what have you.
But I agree with you in that she's not actively evil or chaotic.

And of course! Teknall is definitely good. Wanton destruction and regression is the greatest evil to him as a god of civilisation and construction. But I think in an RP with more 'actively' good gods, Teknall would not have become the spearhead for protecting mortals etc. It kind of fell to him in the absence of anyone who really cared.
But yes, personality-wise I'd say Teknall is arguably more 'good' than Niciel herself.
@Frettzo Awesome - looks like Godspeed is going to have at least two actively good gods. The only good god of this iteration was Niciel (and maybe now Belru, but SHE WAS EVIL AT THE START, PURE EVIL).

I can see her and Seihdhara making a good partnership, and Seihdhara will definitely be crying in her lap every now and again xP

Is that better, or is there a better way to limit destruction without completely doing away with it? Note that under this system a god could still technically create a black hole next to a planet, but it would require an exorbitant amount of Might (if a hill is 10 Might, I'd imagine a planet would be like, 500 Might)

If we start in a pre-populated world, that's a different matter. I'm still of the opinion that letting the players generate the world would probably be more engaging for them (and less work for you), and avoids forcing them down pre-existing tropes. (For instance, the first sentient life in Mk.2 was not humans, as one would assume is standard, but hain, which really personalises our universe.) If you wish to do otherwise, though, then go ahead.


I don't mind either way, whatever the majority wants.

It's aimed more at things like 'CREATE (haha!) a blackhole to destroy planet X, nation Y, galaxy Z' rather than 'create an army to go war against X and destroy them'.

With regards to concerns about gods being too weak for the beginning - I was under the assumption that we're parting with Divinus tradition and going for an already fully formed universe. The gods appear/crash land onto a pre-existing planet (or perhaps come out of Lei's doors). From here there are a few options:
----1) This planet would already have basic life (e.g. trees, numerous un-intelligent creatures ).
----2) Alternatively, the gods can emerge onto a planet already having intelligent life at a basic point in development.
----3) Cyclone suggested they emerge on a planet with relatively advanced sentient life warring, and where chaos reigns. The gods need to bring order and build from there.

Done! With regards to the definition of Harm, I've tried to put something reasonable. If you or anyone else have a more watertight definition let me know and I'll put it in.

The whole khookie point system is something I've used in a few of the RPs I GM. They're personalised, which immediately helps establish rapport with players, breaks the ice, and it also goes rather well with the whole 'evil benevolent overlord' GM-persona I go for. The pun also made some sense as the initial system was wholly reliant on GMs judging individual posts and actively handing out points (i.e. 'baking khookies'). I'm not a big fan of hard-and-fast mechanics that come across as dry, so calling them 'khookies' instead of 'Experience Points' immediately makes them more relatable. Or something.

In an established RP like Mk.II, I think we can do away with it at this point, especially as I'm no longer a GM. If I've jumped the gun by using Prestige in that last post, Termite can edit ^^'

Edit: speaking of heroes and khookies and prestige, should Divinus Lite's Hero levelling system be revised? At the moment the costs are just me using an arbitrary system not grounded in anything.
There we go. Of note:
--Incorporates the 'Might is Creative' element, but has not completely gotten rid of its potential for destruction (gods CAN be destructive and I don't think it makes sense to get rid of that completely). The difference now is that while Might is VERY good at creating things, it is EXTREMELY bad at destroying, or creating for destructive ends.
--Gods are effectively demigods from level 1-3, and only mature into fully-fledged gods at level 4.
--Demigods have been removed, the offspring of a god are now level 1 gods.
--New gods can emerge at any point in the game through Mater Lei's doors (if Termite still wants that, the above mechanic sorts out the issue the doors sought to solve).
--As no one other than Cyclone expressed a strong aversion to the Primordials, they're still around.
--As we haven't yet fleshed out the 'Portfolios Only' system, the Domain(Portfolio) system has been retained.
--Oh, and the Might cap (2 x [Level + 3]) as well as indirect levelling up (2 x Level) have been incorporated.

But now I need to get my head down, submit one overdue essay, and get to writing another two due this month. And then I have exams from mid-may until the beginning of June. And then dissertation >-<
