About

Appearance: Miles has steely blue eyes, usually framed by a set a dark glasses. His hair is long and straight, but it's usually messily put together in a pony tail or bun. Color-wise, his hair is dark brown, but he's already dealing with some premature streaks of grey. He lies and says he hates it, and will come up with some lame excuse if someone suggests dying it. He has a narrow, soft face, easily pegged as attractive. Decorating his face and arms are various freckles, creating an oddly cute atmosphere to the assassin's appearance--as if his small stature didn't do that already. Still, even his friendliest smiles can seem..disarming.

Physical Abilities/Skills: Due to his size and nature, melee is NOT Miles' strongest suit. However, put a gun in his hands and he's pretty good; his favorite are sniping rifles. Put poison in his hand and he's even more comfortable. To put it simply, Miles is the guy you want infiltrating a ball or the highest floor in a skyscraper, not 1v1'ing Helga the body builder. Outside of murder, Miles has been well educated since preschool thanks to his family's wealth. He can speak French and Mandarin--Mandarin less fluently than the other--and he's very well aware of the dos and don'ts of upper class etiquette. The later shows even his daily life, in the way he eats and speaks and dresses.

Personality: While he's friendly, it usually doesn't take someone perceptive long to get a "bad vibe" from Miles. Although he's small and less than intimidating in physical appearance, his eyes are cold and his smile knowing. He doesn't really intend to be so creepy, but his small stature can't contain all the malice and cold blood. In addition to this, he's unapologetically flirty with any gender. Once Miles grows comfortable with you--as in, if you're one of the 9--he's not friendly anymore: he's snarky and rude and pretentious. His flirting becomes borderline harassment. But if he's being himself with you, he trusts and cares about you, a "blessing" very few people get. Outside of his interactions with others, he's cool and analytical. He's also closet anime trash.

Background: Miles was born into wealth, and while he was is a brat, he could not stand the old white money atmosphere he was raised into. And while he will explain that this is the reason he left home, he was also sick of having to hide his sexuality. But that's cliche, and he leaves this out when asked. So at eighteen, he cut ties with his family (mother, father, little sister) and began working to make his own way. While he struggled at first, he eventually managed to put himself through college thanks to the formation of K9, his focus of study in botany and biology. After school, he bought and worked in his own florist shop, The Tilted Tulip. This is his personal "base." It makes a decent front, pulls in some extra cash, and gives him access to a variety of plants he can craft into poison as he needs.

Pale pink eyes and skin white, like snow, easily identify the young man as albino. This is the most obvious thing about his appearance, and the rest of him is rather average: he stands only at 5'9", weighing in at about 150 lbs. Under his clothes, though, are lean and toned muscles. During the day, he wears sunglasses and clothes that protect his light skin from the harsh sun. At night, you might catch him in large hipster glasses or just contacts.

Ken comes off as pretty cool headed--maybe a little broody--but under enough pressure, he'll become very angry. Despite that darker side of him, he's generally friendly to the people around him and likes to laugh. He likes a neat, warm environment and is more introverted than extroverted even if he tries not to be. He's confident, but soft spoken. He may seem vain with the amount of time he puts into his appearance, but it's something he's picked up from both of his parents.

KB was pretty well adjusted growing up, though his parents always seemed more in love with each other than they were with him. So, without enough attention from either, he's grown up to love attention he does get, even if he won't admit it.

While he's an only child, both his parents had worked for Axis. While his father stuck with it (and recently died on the job), his mother quit long ago. Not to raise KB or anything, but she decided she needed something a little less dangerous so she could better garantee being there for her son and husband. So, she works as a detective for the local police department. Her connection to the Axis is useful for agents looking for civilian intel--including KB.

There isn't a lot even an agent can get away with carrying around 24/7. So, usually, the most KB has is a hand pistol and knife. However, depending on the job, you could catch him with a sniper rifle or assault rifle.

He's less of a combative role in the Axis and more of a researcher / intelligence gatherer. He's one of Axis' pairs of eyes, and he's usually one of the first to report strange activity. When he is on a job that'll spill blood, he prefers to do it from a very, very far distance. His weapon of choice is a sniper rifle, for example.

Appearing to be in her early-mid twenties, her pale green eyes stand out the most: although mostly a dull green, flecks of deeper emerald and gold dot the irises. She tends to wear dark eyeliner and eye shadow that compliments the color. Sloane’s skin is dark brown in contrast, and she wears make up to accent her high cheekbones. Her dreadlocks are dark brown–nearly black–in color and are styled like a Mohawk with both sides shaved close to her scalp. She walks with a tall, confident demeanor and tends to wear a combination of tight pants and layered tanktops to show off her tattoo sleeves. Toned arms and legs stretch far, emphasizing her height and slimness–high heels help, too. She also has tattoos behind her ear, neck, on her back and legs, hips, below her chest, and..elsewhere. Said tattoos include but are not limited to her zodiac sign, favorite quote, a semi-colon, and tribal designs. When it comes to jewelry, she has small gauges in her ears and long necklaces that dangle over her chest. She’ll sometimes have thick bracelets and rings on, as well.

Notable Tattoos (aka magic imbued tattoos): Water color compass on her wrist that she can use to locate items or people via magic. A tree of life on the back of her neck that has roots that extend down to her back tattoos. This tattoo is what gives her extended life. On the inside of her arm, she has “seize the night” scripted in Latin: carpe noctem. It allows her to read and speak Latin fluently and was one of her first tattoos.

ABILITIES

Her magic isn’t terribly strong and she needs to research a lot to do large spells–such as the ones she links to tattoos. However, little things such as telekinesis are doable without the extra effort. Magic also works like a muscle–the more she uses it, the stronger and easier it gets.

STRENGTHS

+ The more she practices, the stronger her magic gets. Through research, she’s capable of–but not limited to–things like brewing potions and charming jewelry limited mostly by the imagination.
+ She’s conscious of what she eats and frequently works out; while she doesn’t focus on strength, she is fit and excels in endurance. Being in good shape allows her magic to grow stronger, too.

WEAKNESSES

- She might be a witch, but her body is fundamentally human and she bleeds just like everyone else. Her magic is affected by her state of mind and body, as well, so being sick or severely injured will weaken her.
- In regards to the magic tattoos, if they’re badly damaged or removed the magic will stop working as well.

BIO

Magic has run in her family for a long time, though the farthest back she remembers is her grandfather who was particularly powerful. He taught her the magic she knows now growing up since his next in line–her father–wasn’t around to do so. While he raised her in magic, her mother raised her in a normal life. In high school, she attempted her first original spell to help her through Latin class: her “carpe noctem” tattoo–and it got her addicted to both tattoos and magic.

- A particularly romantic Valentines Day led to a teen pregnancy with her first boyfriend. She had planned to raise it with him, but when he died she put the baby up for adoption instead (1996). Then she dropped out of high school to become a tattoo artist. Neither her grandfather nor mother were very happy, but they tried to be supportive due to the tragic loss.

- Grandfather passed soon after, leaving her alone to continue her studies in magic. He left her the ring bonded to Nox and a leather bound journal filled with his personal research.

- She met an immortal woman named Candy in her early twenties when she was just finishing up her apprenticeship and parted ways just as she started her own tattoo parlor. Meeting Candy inspired her to look into achieving immortality after her mother passed away.

- She created a tattoo–the tree of life–that leeches off the life of others who she gives tattoos to and it has slowed down her aging (she ages about ¼-1/3 slower than a normal human). The more people she tattoos, the longer she’ll live. However, she still can’t live forever and she’s still trying to find a solution.

- She owns Ink Shields, a tattoo shop located on the same block as the apartment complex. Due to a witch's ability to easily blend into human life, she has taken on role of a sort of guardian of the comedian. She offers her magic in spellweaving the illusions and the like that help keep humans away from the apartment and its inhabitants, for example.

OTHER

Has a magical cat named Nox: his fur is made up of various shades of grey and black and his eyes are a bright yellow. He’s a demon bound to her family line via a yellow spinel ring she wears, and he can transform into a large panther-like feline in order to protect the ring’s wearer. The ring allows her to communicate telepathically with Nox and summon him no matter where she is, though it does take some effort.
