I guess I'm more used to characters that are more simplified, and where the main cast all fit into this circle where no one is TOO powerful over the other. And then as time goes on adding more characters to the fold. I have a feeling that's not necessarily the case here.

TBH, your characters scare the shit out of me. lol And if everyone is able to make extremely powerful characters, then why would anyone want to make something weaker? You know?
