Sorry about my lack of activity guys, just caught up with the OOC section and need to catch up with the current IC situation as well.

Since my ideas for 'lone story arcs' for Everett seem to have been hijacked by my brain into becoming independent stories outside of the RP, I'm going to try and get involved with more collab stuff for Everett and have him involved in other player's story arcs, if they so wish.

Is there anyone in particular who would be interested in collabing, or any specific side plots that could work well if Everett was to show up and join?

Yep. My new characters feel a little out of sync for solo writing at this moment, so it think it would be best done as a collaboration.
Then how might I accomplish a character in this game without much understanding of the other characters, and without very deep knowledge of any character to play? A more minor character who had been portrayed in multiple ways and knew little of the Titans was my idea. Some kind of memory loss/head trauma thing maybe?

Have you ever dreamed of losing everything just so you could start all over again? This is the story of a alien being who did just that. A lady who came crashing wildly into the Earth just to land on her feet and roll with the punches. Me, I'm the lucky guy who found what was left of her and bring her back to health. By the time she recovered enough to communicate, I came to understand that she didn't know much. Not knowing who she was, not knowing where she was supposed to be going, not knowing where she's been. All I knew was that she looked like a shooting star coming down to Earth, so that's what we decided to name her- Starr. So now I don't know where my life is going anymore either. She stays with me as we travel all over the world doing my performing jobs and changing latitudes and attitudes as we follow La Vie Dansante. So? Even the best navigators aren't quite sure where they're going until they get there and then they still aren't sure. There's one thing we know for sure: indecision may or may not be our problem. We both see things quite a bit differently, too. Take for example what she told me she remembers about our first night out.

Thirst. Very much thirst. Why had Mac taken her away from the water? It seemed to her they were going to a place with food and water. Why go to such a place when there was already food and water at home. She was bored and thirsty, it was taking too long. She practiced on the pad he had given her.
F-O-O-D
W-A-T-E-R
H-O-M-E
S-T-A-R-R
M-A-C
M-A-C-J-E-R-K

Suddenly, he pointed at the place and Starr was even more aware of her thirst. She opened the door and got out of the slow-moving T-R-U-C-K.

Mac became angry for some reason and yelled something, then yelled some more words she didn't understand as she walked toward the door.

There were humans here. Some of the humans looked at her like she had done something wrong, some looked at her with fear. Starr did not think she was doing anything wrong, so she looked around.

It was larger than HOME, but had some of the same things. Places to sit, places to put things. Containers to hold them in. She understood what she saw, but still did not understand why they had come to this place for food and water.

Starr was very thirsty, so she sat down and started opening containers and drinking things. One was good, another was OK but made her even more thirsty, and then there was another one that tasted like fire!

One of the humans was coming around, waving her hand and looking at her like she wanted something.
She could feel Mac coming closer, having different emotions. She heard him talking to the people. It seemed very complicated for what they could be doing at home. She even had to wear more of the uncomfortable CLOTHES for the occasion. It also seemed to be going wrong somehow.

Mac came in and brought a little bit of anger with him. What was his problem? This was his stupid idea. She typed out W-A-T-E-R and stared at him. Mac started talking to the human, and finally mentioned “water” and away she went. It was too late though. Starr was irritated enough by the whole situation and stared at him while she thought about giving him just a little burn.

Mac took the bad one and shook it, saying “No”. She had to admit he had a point there.

Starr took the one she liked and gave him the pad. It's name was pretty long. “KETCHUP”. At that point, her anger started to fade. Mac had his uses, and his intent was always good; even if this whole thing didn't make any sense.

Finally, the waitress came back with a little water. It was good, be Starr wanted more and we not about to stop. Starr was out of patience, so she decided to help the process by getting her own water from wherever the human got it.

Mac got angry and frustrated again, and it seemed to be spreading to the other humans this time!

It was going to be a long night.

Character you have created: Macauley Jeanpaul Beveman
Alias: Mac
Speech Color: Yellow
Character Alignment: Walking the line
Identity: Public, semi-famous
Character Personality:
I got a school boy heart, a novelist eye
Stout sailor's legs and a license to fly
I came with nomad feet and some wandering toes
That walk up my long board and hang off the nose

I suppose
The need to focus never arose
So something like a Swiss army knife
That's my life
Frankenstein had nothing on this body of mine
The villagers still flockin' to see, to see me
Breaking free, breaking free

Cause I got a school boy heart, a novelist eye
Stout sailor's legs and a license to fly
I got a bartender's ear and beachcomber's style
Piratical nerve and a Vaudevillian style

I suspect I died in some cosmic shipwreck
With all hands spread all over the deck
What the heck
Then some kind of obscene and unscrupulous mind
Began to pick up what he could find
Added ice, shook me twice, rolled the dice

Now I got a school boy heart, a novelist eye
A sailor's legs and a license to fly
I got a native tongue from way down south
It sits in the cheek of my gulf coastal mouth

I got a school boy heart, a novelist eye
Stout sailor's legs and a license to fly
I came with nomad feet and some wandering toes
That glide up my longboard and hang off the nose

Origin Info/Details:

Born the grandson of a sailor and the son of a banker, Macauley Jeanpaul Beveman suffered from what his family called “over sensitivity”. The bottom line was that he could not adapt to his father's ways or preferred paths for Mac's life. He never cared to deal with numbers, he was too free-spirited for military work, too lazy for hard work, and too interested in the human condition to be bothered to think about anything else much. He was more like his grandfather, and would spend all the time he could listening to the tales of the sea.

In his teenage years, Mac found music a great outlet. This, and to a certain extent acting and writing were the only things that came easy. After his grandfather's death, not being an achiever put a distance between him and the rest of his family. He turned to alcohol and even illegal drugs during the late teenage years, though it never brought him much trouble worse than a barfight after the one time he tried to rob a gas station.

He played the bar circuit throughout the southern united states and sometimes got acting work in Miami, where he lived with his cousin for a while. He had a life of just getting by, living from gig to gig. One day suddenly he came into a large amount of money. Though there was an investigation concerning Mac as a possible drug dealer, the charges never stuck and the money did. His life didn't change much with that money, as he didn't know what else to do with it other than pursue his acting and music.

In time, he played the slightly larger scenes of Gatlinburg, Branson, music festivals and the like.

Full success would come to him in the form of a tv deal. The TV deal brought his name before the public, leading to exposure and financial success for his music career as well. Financial success was not something he was well-equipped to deal with, as his attempts to live a more conventional life as a celebrity resulted in two divorces.

Television made his life comfortable, but was never creatively satisfying. It was draining. His two marriages and their romances were inspirations for his music, but so were his divorces. Contiuing to age throughout this part of his career, he became partly frustrated and partly poetic about his life as a sensitive outsider. Music became harder to write, inspiritation more rare. It was starting to feel old, starting to weary him. Mac needed something new in his life.

He was on his way to becoming a falling star until the night he saw a falling Star.

took us out of the oven a little too early. and that's the reason we're as crazy as we are and I believe it. Do you know what's crazier than that, friends and neighbors? We ain't the only ones. Take for example the first time I took my friend Starr out into the world just to get some dinner.”

“Starr...don't!!” But she had done it. Just flat cut out. The blue alien wearing clothes that were too big for her opened the door of his pickup truck and got right out while he was in motion and gone right to the open world and the open door of a restaurant. This was not the stangest thing he had seen in his life, it was only the most recent outcome of the strangest thing he had seen in his life. By the time he had parked his pickup, there would probably be another example as the unsuspecting citizens reacted to whatever she was going to do in there. It was a hard enough thing being a celebrity in a little town in Arkansas, but Starr was about to take things to a whole other level.

By the time he had exited the truck, there were people running out of the place. They were panicked, but Starr wasn't. Starr wasn't concerned with much more than thirst at the moment. That, and growing confusion. At least she wasn't angry, and Mac knew that meant the people were safe at least.

Pardon me, yall. Let me take care of this for you. “ Mac nodded to one of them at random while speaking loudly enough so that the small group around could also hear him. At least the ones that weren't panicking.

Turning the little corner, Mac took in the view of the shapely blue alien trying to drink from a ketchup bottle while one waiter cowered in the back, one waitress tried to get her attention, and one manager stared speechless at the whole proceding. The bottle of mustard already had it's lid removed as did the bottle of...barbeque sauce?

Mac laughed out loud at that before realizing that laughing was the wrong thing to do for everyone else concerned.

Starr glared at him, showing the letters she had typed out on her pad W-A-T-E-R.

Mac kicked out the chair and sat down, leaning toward her a bit “That ain't water Starr...hey, can we get some water and menus...well, only need one I guess. We'll be good from here, I promise. “
The less scared waitress managed a nod at him, and Mac felt things were starting to get in hand a little better.

“Now, Starr, I told you don't go walking off on your own like that.” Mac started in, but Starr cut him off just by looking into his eyes and flashing the “W-A-T-E-R” word at him once again.

This was what passed for an argument between them, which seemed to be necessary almost every time he was trying to teach her something. He knew he was safe during these arguments though, at least after that first time where she actually did give him a burn mark with her light powers. Starr couldn't stand to look at the scar from that, though it was starting to heal up now.

In order to win the argument and teach the lesson, Mac grabbed the barbeque sauce and shook it at her saying “NO Water”. Then he tapped the mustard the the ketchup, adding less vehemently “no water”

Starr took the ketchup from his hand and handed him her pad. He knew by now what she wanted “You like that one? That's ketchup. “ He pushed the buttons on her pad K-E-T-C-H-U-P and turned it back over to her.

When the waitress came back with the water and the one menu, Mac already had the order “Cheeseburger and cold beer “ Immediately, he heard the angry thud of the too-small glass hit the table and saw Starr getting up and following the waitress.

“Sit, Starr!” he yelled at her, drawing an irate look somebody at another table. It was going to be a long night.

So no objections because of no objections to playing two related characters. Got it, thank you. App will come soon. I'll do it as two, since there is good development in both of them.
<Snipped quote by Kingof192>

What part of your character do you think does not fit in with our game?

<Snipped quote by Liseran Thistle>

We also have a dedicated Discord channel for this game (see the OP of the OOC for the link - e.g. the 1st post). You can always bounce ideas and ask for collaborations there.

Is it that although there is only one with a power set, there are two equal and different personalities here. The character is actually two characters. They are linked together in a unique way. A little more tied together than the Wonder Twins, but less than Firestorm in that there are two bodies and two minds.

Actually I haven't had any objections from anybody once they saw what was going on with it but I am stranger to you.
I have an original character I really like for superhero games, but part of it is that she requires her human companion to communicate and to fit in socially because she is a very-recently arrive mute alien. How would I go about making that in your different-seeming system?
Hello. I'm here trying to get some joy out of online RP by doing it differently. Part of which was to play a random game, so here I am. I'm slightly familiar with DC and the titans in specific, though also unfamiliar enough so that I'm sure if I tried a major character it would be terribly out of character. So I'm thinking, how about something like a Lightning Lad or Braniac 5?
