| {Appearance} |Katalina was lucky and born with natural beauty that her mother called a blessing from Aphrodite. Two major parts of her natural beauty are her eyes and her hair. Katalina was blessed, as her mother constantly told her at a young age, with perfect golden brown locks of hair that dried wavy on their own after getting wet. A blessing and a curse in it's own due to easy styling but also easy tangling. Then her eyes, Katalina's eyes always seem to be a mystery. 'What color will they be today?' is a question she constantly asks herself when she looks in the mirror due to her eyes changing between a shining silver and an icy blue dependent on her makeup and what she is wearing for the day.
Katalina has a shorter stature, standing at only 5’3” but her she does not have the typical body type that people think of for someone of this height. She has a mix of curves and an athletic build, coming from all of her running she does. Her naturally tan skin is only littered few scars, most of them on the smaller side from childhood cuts and bumps that she picked at a bit too much, the only exception is her bite mark scar. Her bite mark scar is located on her left ankle but is hidden partially by a
rose tattoo to distract from said scar.
When it comes to clothing Katalina has a style where she mainly just wears whatever she feels like that day. She isn't a full on girly girl but she also isn't full punk rock in her clothing, it is a varied range and mix between the two. Sometimes wearing a band t-shirt with a skirt and heels and cardigan, or wearing a cute dress with a leather jacket and darker makeup. She typically just picks what she feels like wearing for the day.
Her wolf is a bit different than her... where Katalina gives off an overall brightness in her appearance, her wolf is dark and shadowy. Her wolf is a mostly black wolf with some gray mixed in around the legs and the belly. Katalina, in this form, is smaller than the average wolf in the pack but it allows her to be a bit faster. She also has glowing silver eyes that match her silver eyes in her human form, both forms sharing an overall mystery to them, mainly stemming from the unique eyes.

| {Fears} |★ Katalina fears that one day her sister may find out about the supernatural world around her and that is the last thing she wants for Calliope.
★ She also fears that she may lose Calliope due to something in the supernatural world one day, that fear including being the one to cause her own sister's death.
★ Katalina fears falling in love, she watched it fall apart and take so many things with it that she is scared that it will end like that for her if she were to ever fall in love.
| {Secret} |Katalina's mother has contacted her on multiple times from Greece trying to reconnect with her two daughters, even sending money and gifts to try and win them back. She keeps this a secret though, sending the gifts back to her mother and donating the money anonymously to the orphanage her sister lives in. Letting her mother know that is the only thing that she will ever be allowed to do in their lives ever again. It pains her though, when her sister asks if their mom may come and get them regretting her mistakes of the past and Katalina has to lie to Calliope telling her that they need to not think about that. That they should just continue with life as they had each other and that was all they would ever need.
| {Abilities} |Katalina has the normal abilities that you get when you become a werewolf but most of hers are on the average side. Her enhanced strength honestly is probably only on par with a human strongman or body builder, it is definitely one of the things she doesn't really mind though. She feels she is strong enough for herself beside she believes her speed and stature makes up for what she lacks in strength. Having always been someone who ran, when she became a werewolf she only came to enjoy being able to push herself even more. She has trained herself so much in running in both human and wolf forms that she can say she is definitely a lot faster than the average wolf and she takes pride in her speed.
Her senses that were enhanced are more on the average side for werewolves. Although working at a club her hearing definitely took a bit of a beating until she figured out a way to not be too sensitive to the loud music.
Other than her were abilities Katalina has a few other skills; knife throwing, music composing, and talent in playing guitar and piano. Katalina took up learning how to throw daggers when she knew she may have to fight or protect her sister, knowing hand-to-hand combat would not work out well for her. She started playing the guitar and piano during high school, she would sneak into the music room and use the instruments they had in there to teach herself, once she got a job and had earned enough money she bought herself her own instruments and began composing her own music. Since then she has only improved and has a nice collection of complete and incomplete songs she has written.
| {Limitations} |Katalina is smaller and weaker than most wolves so if in a fight she has to purely rely on her speed and her daggers in combat. She has only been training with her daggers since she was 17 so she isn't always good at it. She has off days every once in awhile, but for the most part she can hit a target even if it is moving. Doesn't mean she can hit it where she wants to. Katalina also has to rely more on sense of smell and sight as her hearing was a bit damaged in the club when she couldn't fully understand how to control it.

Katalina has two sides to her, one of which most people would be lucky to ever see. To most people who have met her, Katalina is the talented outgoing and confident waitress at the club who flirts with basically everyone for fun. On top of that she loves doing stupid things simply so she can remind herself that she is still human. Sometimes that involves daredevil sort of acts or hooking up with someone random for the hell of it. Katalina for the most part acts kind to most, that is until you try and get personal... that is when her walls go up and the part of her that doesn't trust anyone takes over and she becomes cold in order to push people away. The kindness she showed being the only glimpse to the other side of Katalina that most people will ever get to see.
The other side of Katalina is the one only her sister has ever seen. This Katalina is kind and caring, along with a mix of motherly and sisterly love and responsibility as she holds both roles in her sister's life. She becomes a more easy-going, fun-loving person around Calliope, the two girls laughing most of the time they are together. Katalina also can be seen being a lot more protective of her sister; always making sure the girl is in her line of site or holding her hand. The thought of losing her younger sister constantly a haunting thought in Katalina's mind. Although this doesn’t stop the girl from being a bit reckless with her younger sister when it comes to doing more fun things, once having taken her sister to a cliff to jump off of into the lake below. Not the safest activity for a 12 year-old but her sister loved it.
Something both sides share is their feistiness, her individuality, and sense of morality. Katalina is not a girl who is scared to stand her ground if challenged in her sense of right and wrong, especially around her right to be who ever she wants to be and around discrimination. If she is working and sees anything she won't simply stand for, she will get involved even if it puts her in danger.

| {Background} |Born to two, at the time, loving parents, Katalina was blessed with a happy beginning to her life. Her parents were there to give her anything that she might need and help her as she grew up. That was until her mom started having a man friend over when her father was at work. Her mom simply told her that he was just a friend and Katalina being naive at such a young age believed her. Then when Katalina turned 10, her parents announced that she was going to be getting a little sister. This excited Katalina but her parents didn't seem excited so she kept her excitement in.
The announcement of the pregnancy is when the yelling matches started, they would start as whisper yelling when Katalina was supposed to be asleep but then they would progress into full on yelling matches with the occasional sound of something being broken or a door being slammed. These matches only grew worse after her sister was born, Katalina having to be the one to look after the newborn that was crying during these times. After 1 year of the yelling matches, most of which were during the pregnancy, her mom disappeared leaving a note telling the father and daughters that she didn't want anything to do with them anymore. That she felt no love for any of them, only love for her other lover.
Katalina's father took her mother's leaving him hard and began to drink, cursing having to stay in the house and in the country where he had thought he met the love of his life. Katalina simply watched from the sidelines as her parent's marriage fell apart, shattering the thought of love in her mind, minus the love she held for her sister and her father. It was at this point in her life that she decided she would never fall in love for the fear that it would end like her parents' love one day.
After a few months had passed since her mother left the three behind, Katalina's father picked the family up and moved them to a random town in America by the name of Salem, Massachusetts. He got a simple job as a construction worker spending his time either working or drinking himself to sleep. This is when Katalina really had to step up to take care of her younger sister and her father. She learned how to cook and treat hangovers through the internet, how to best take care of a baby, all while trying to keep herself in good standings at school.
Then it happened, one day her father didn't return home from work. Katalina found it a bit odd but she just shrugged it off and focused on taking care of her younger sister, it wasn't until around midnight that the police officers showed up at the door and informed the girl that her father had been killed in a work accident. A social worker coming and helping the girl pack a bag for herself and her baby sister before helping them out to a car. That day the girl's were left without a father and long abandoned by a mother.
From then on the sisters grew up in the towns orphanage, Salem's Home for Boys and Girls'. Katalina began to act out, rebelling against the workers at the orphanage and constantly sneaking out to go drink with some other kids from her school. Little did she know that this would lead to a night that is as bad as the night she lost her father.
It was when she was fourteen, her sister four at the time, on a night of a full moon when she snuck out to meet up with some friends from school to hang out, drink, and smoke. The night began pretty normal for the group until a growl interrupted their laughter. In the silence they heard another growl and when they looked towards the sound they saw a wolf stalking out of the woods towards them. Immediately everyone was up, screaming, and running the opposite way, trying not to trip over anything. Despite being the best runner in the group Katalina was the one to trip over a log in the dimly lit night.
Katalina did her best to hide in a bush and slow her breathing but she could hear the wolf near by and it only made breathing harder. That's when she felt a sharp pain on her ankle and let out a shriek of pain as the wolf had bit down on her ankle. It began to pull her out of the bush by the ankle and in panic Katalina began kicking the wolf with her other foot. At first the wolf simply growled while still holding onto her ankle, then out of annoyance it let go and snapped its teeth at her. She took this chance to kick it again, get up, and start running away, ignoring the screaming pain from her left ankle. She could hear the wolf behind her catching up quickly, and then she heard something whizz through the air and connect with something behind her. The sound was followed by a whine and a howl of pain then another something whizzing through the air and hitting the wolf. Katalina didn't bother to look back at what was happening as she pushed herself harder and faster until she got back to the orphanage, sneaking back in. She went straight to the bathroom cleaning the bite with soap and water before ripping up an old t-shirt of hers and using it to bandage her ankle. She tried to live the next few days normally but then she started to get sick, first she came down with a fever, then chills, hallucinations, and a mixture of cold and flu symptoms that didn't go away no matter what medicine the workers gave her.
After three weeks of this illness she was taken to the doctor, where unbeknownst to her and the orphanage workers, the doctor was also a lone warlock. The warlock asked to speak to her alone and when they were alone he asked if a wolf had bitten her. She gave him a look of surprise that basically told him he was correct. The doctor visit was full of the warlock telling her what exactly had happened, what was going to happen, and what could help. The warlock had a necklace that would help her during full moons to control her animalistic side, which he gave to her. The doctor then pretended to prescribe medication to help Katalina, but it really was only a sugar pill to make sure the others don't get suspicious.
Once Katalina shifted for the first time, despite how painful and long it took, she was mostly back to her old self. Just now she had all the enhanced abilities to get used to. Through the years she slowly got used to the abilities but she never really came to accept that she is a wolf. At the age of 18, Katalina was given the option of becoming Calliope's guardian but no matter how much she wanted that or how much Calli wanted that, Katalina felt Calliope would never be safe around her again. Thus she didn't become her sister's guardian, leaving her sister to grow up in the orphanage where she feels she will be safer, where Katalina feels Calli will be safe from Kat herself.
Around the same time Katalina denied becoming her sister's guardian, she also became a waitress at the infamous local club. The owner was the wife of the warlock who helped Katalina when she was bit so she took pity on her and let her work there despite not really being old enough. Since then Katalina has worked at the bar/club eventually learning how to make all the fancy drinks. It also allows Katalina to continue being a bit reckless and party her problems away during the night. The club is also how she has made connections with different supernaturals plus where she finds her 'victims' for her one night stands on the nights she really needs to forget her problems.
Recently with all the unexplainable things happening Katalina is growing more worried about her sister and how she can keep her sister away from the world she was forced into. She doesn't want to see anything happen to her sister, as she knows it would be the last piece that would break Katalina completely.
