My curiosity over the pairings continues to only grow stronger.... It's the downfall of being a cat- curiosity. I'll get to work on a post after I finish the one I am working on for my other rp! So excited it has started, time for Eris to steal everyone's stuff... I mean make friends?
Mirai is what you'd expect from an ex-gang member. She holds anger issues and is quiet abrasive but is also quiet self-confident. Not giving a single flip for what anyone around her thinks. This can be both positive and negative. The girl is dauntless and an adrenaline junkee at best, often putting herself in dangerous situations just to feel the rush. Mirai comes off as all these things and also very intimidating. She can flip from being flirtatious and sexual to cold hearted and shouldered within a snap of the fingers. To truly put all that she is into one word would probably simply be dangerous. But deep down there is more to her than meets the eye, her true identity that seems to leak through every now and then.
To those who have earned it, Mirai is extremely loyal and fiercely protective. She has a selfless side that only comes out on her best (or to her, her worst) days. She will sacrifice herself for those she cares for.
And the deepest, most hidden parts of her. That's the Mirai who lies in bed at night simply feeling lost and wondering how life could be different if only things had gone different. It's the girl who still holds a hurting heart over the boy she made a sacrifice for, who she practically risked it all for.
The true Mirai is a lost girl waiting for someone to come find her and help her find herself.

Bio Mirai was born to two Japanese-Americans in Seattle, Washington. Very shortly after she was born the small family moved to Tokyo, Japan for Mirai's father's work. For the beginning part of her life she lived a relatively normal life. It wasn't until half way through her middle school years that, in her parents words, her life took a turn for the worst. In middle school she befriended than began dating a boy who was the son of the man in charge of the local Yakuza. She very quickly adapted to the gang like lifestyle, dying her hair blonde to rebel against her parents. That was the first thing she did in rebellion, things only growing more extreme as she aged. As the couple entered highschool Mirai was being taught how to fight by her boyfriend and despite her small size, was soon a force to be reckoned with. When she proved she could hold her own to her boyfriend, he brought her into his own personal gang that was made up of the kids of Yakuza members. She was no longer just the girl seen on his arm, now she was there and helping with fights, helping the gang grow.
Soon she was out for countless hours of the night and returning home with cuts and scrapes. Her parents tried all they could to get through to her but they were too busy with work to do too much. She was forced to do makeup classes in order to graduate when the time came to it. She was the only one of the group that graduated, as celebration her boyfriend took her to get her first tattoo. She moved out of her parents place shortly after that to live with her boyfriend and continue with the gang activities.
At the age of 20 a couple months before her birthday the gang got in a huge fight with a rival gang. Cops somehow found out about it and put an end to the fight. A good amount of each gang got away, Mirai was not fortunate enough. She sacrificed herself, distracting the cops so her boyfriend could get away. She was arrested and since she refused to give up any information she was given some small charges and sentenced to jail for a few months in hopes it would help set her straight. Mirai was released about a month after her birthday, she was released to her parents who scolded her and took her home. They had already arranged to ship her off to her maternal grandparents to work on their farm in Emerald City. She only had a week before she would be returning to America.
That night Mirai snuck out and went to her old place, her boyfriend's place. Only to find out she'd been replaced while she was in prison. She tried to attack him but was held back by two others from the gang. When she had cooled off enough and was released she did get in a kick where the sun don't shine before she left, flipping the group off. She tore her room apart over the next few days before she was sent to America. Her father flew with her to ensure she actually went to where she was supposed to.
Since her arrival to Emerald City, Mirai has dyed her hair back to it's natural color and spent any time not at the farm working out, getting into small fights(she is well aquainted with the police by now), skateboarding, speeding around on her motorcycle, or sitting in the corner of the local bar. Her grandparents pile on more work if she doesn't behave and will lessen the load if she behaves for at least two weeks, sometimes different if she had previously been doing illegal or wrong things.
It is obvious that she is not trusted nor liked by the people who have lived there for a while despite her grandparents, great-grandparents and great-great-grandparents having lived there since her great-great-grandparents came over from Japan. Maybe it was because her mother moved away after meeting her father, or it was because by now her past in the Yakuza had gotten around because her grandmother is a talker and can't keep things regarding family quiet. Her grandmother has already told everyone about her cousin being a NASA scientist, a cousin on the other side of Mirai's family. Her grandmother just can't keep her mouth shut honestly. So that leaves Mirai dealing with people knowing she was once related to the infamous Japanese gang prior to moving here. That doesn't help her standing in the city, but neither does her behavior.
Maybe the longer Mirai spends in Emerald City, the more she will turn around from a menace to society to someone who can actually do something with her life. That is what her family is hoping at least.
Toru and Hitomi Takahashi are Mirai's grandparents. The couple are extremely friendly and caring.
Goro is Mirai's ex. He's the son of the Leader of Tokyo's Yakuza, soon to be the leader himself. He is 23.

Personality
Eris is not a people person. If one has the opportunity to get to talk with her, it will be quickly seen that she doesn't wish to speak to most people. She holds a cold exterior for protection. All that she has gotten in the past from openly being nice was eventual ridicule and even people using her. That or people get too close and then find out her heritage and that never ends well.
Those who are lucky enough to get past her cold exterior or happen to catch her off guard and see her interacting with homeless or orphans, they will see a compassionate girl. Eris truly cares for people, especially those who also seem to be having a tough time in life. Though she doesn't seem like a good person due to her making a living off being a thief, she makes sure to steal only from those who are obviously greedy as her primary targets. When necessary she will steal from other people only if it won't have a negative impact on the person she is stealing from. Eris will often then take money or stolen food to the homeless or orphans to help them out. She has even stolen medicine for a few poorer families who couldn't afford it for their loved ones.
Eris is caring and loyal to those she finds deserves such treatment. Being on Eris' good side is rare outside of the already stated types of people. Even those groups can meet a cold shoulder if trying to get to close or if they pry too much. Eris is secretive of her life and of what she is, thus why she has her cloak and bandage.
Biggest Fear
Eris dreads dying before being able to show and teach some people that not all Half-Devils are bad.
Greatest Dream
Being accepted for what she is, despite societies view on her kind.
Background
Eris was born to Fiona Martel and a devil whom she never learned the name of. Her father wasn't ever around but Fiona didn't need help raising Eris. Despite having to hide her daughter's presence, Fiona was a good mother to Eris. She made sure the girl was well fed, well dressed, taught manners, and well educated. Eris loved her mother dearly and her mother loved her. It wasn't until one tough winter that things went wrong for the mother and daughter.
The winter lasted longer than expected and the food began to run out for the two. Thinking that maybe he would offer a bit of help after eating only scraps for a week, Fiona called upon Eris' father. The devil was not a good being to begin with and hated the fact he had ended up with a daughter after a chance one night stand one of the few times he left Rakhan, well Fiona calling upon him for help angered him greatly. He took all his pent up anger out on the woman and ended up killing her. He then just left Eris to die. At only 8, Eris lost her mother. Luckily for her, what was left of the food lasted the last of the winter.
After the winter she tried to go get help in the nearby town but that only resorted in her being chased away from the town and being blamed for her mother's death. It was at that point that Eris began to hate half of who she was. She scavenged a cloak from the next town over and hid her horns, using her hair to hide her left eye. She was able to get some help in the form of a little money, some food, and some clothes from an older woman who took pity on her. She didn't stay there long. As soon as she left that town, Eris began a journey of loneliness and growing self-hatred and some growth.
Over time as Eris grew up on the streets, she taught herself to become skilled in stealing, sleight of hand, gymnastics, bartering, and parkour. All things to help her survive. She learned how to scout out abandon places to set up base in and how to survive in the woods as well, though her survival in the city is much better. One of the main things she taught herself was fighting, though it is mainly self-defense and disarming/distracting in order to escape. This is due to Eris having been homeless and living on the streets for thirteen years. Over those thirteen years she has met a few holy beings all of which ended up finding out what she was and trying to kill her, claiming she shouldn't exist. She has also attempted to find a place to call home only for someone to find out what she was and either try to kill her or just chase her off. Its reasons like that which make her believe she will never truly settle down anywhere and make her wary of everyone and everything.
Half-Devil's are a rare race. Mainly they are seen in Rakhan as they are typically killed upon birth outside of it, though they are not regarded highly in Rakhan and as such are hidden away. Half-Devil's lucky enough to not be killed upon being born outside of Rakhan are always hidden away. Kept secret from the rest of the world to keep them alive. If the Half-Devil is lucky, they didn't gain traits that give away what they are too easily and allow them to be integrated into society and allow them to adapt to said society. Unfortunately, most are not lucky and have some trait that gives them away.
Most Half-Devils don't live long enough to mature, often being found out before hand. When Half-Devils are found out most of society reacts one of two way. They either chase the Half-Devil off or they kill the Half-Devil. Rarely do people tend to not care or react in other ways to Half-Devils. It is simply the curse of being born. Half-Devils are feared simply for what they partly are, Devils barely leave Rakhan and having a being with even half the blood of a Devil scares people. It doesn't help that there have been cases of Half-Devils that have caused death and destruction due to the way they were treated. Thus making the race seen in an even worse light.

Edit: I aged her up cause I meant to but forgot to do so and only now remembered. I also changed her spirit animal just a wee bit, specified things a wee more.

Hi! I'm interested in this. I haven't written in a few months so I'm a bit rusty but I do want to get back into writing and if you will have me I will try my best!
Celosia watched the interactions with curiosity and then internal disgust as a witch bit Taran and let a tentacle move into his arm. She knew there would be interesting witches at the castle but that was not something she had heard of or seen before, she kept her face neutral despite it though. She then watched as another male witch left on an undead horse, her eyes meeting his for a brief moment before he looked to who Taran had introduced as Alexina. The man let of an aura that made Celosia know that she would not like him one bit.
Her attention was drawn back to Alexina as she began to speak, Celosia’s face still neutral as she watched the woman, ignoring the hand offered to her. Celosia wasn’t trying to be rude, but she wasn’t friendly enough to shake hands with the woman who was in charge of the same coven responsible for the death of her town.
“I’m well aware of the forest and the area becoming more dangerous. Your coven is a part of the issue. Slaughtering the innocent for no reason. It is the reason I’m here, is it not? My home’s safety compromised after witches of your coven slaughtered the town I watched over. I do not blame every witch of this coven nor do I blame you fully. Taran did help to ease some of my anger at the coven itself. And I do see benefits to my safety if I were to stay here.” Celosia paused as the heat of the lava around her and of her hair flared up.
“The issue I do have is I know the ones responsible are still alive and I can’t hold myself responsible for any harm that would come to them if I ever see one of them alive while apart of this coven. Which I’m sure goes against some sort of rule you have. But if we are able to come to an understanding around them and me, then maybe I’d be interested in staying. I know the whole coven isn’t bad and making you all my enemy would be my own downfall but so shortly after the slaughter, I can’t say I wouldn’t do so just to rid this world of the ones responsible.” Celosia closed her eyes briefly and took a deep breath, as she released the breath the extra amount of heat that had flared up cooled back to its original temperature as she reopened her eyes to continue holding eye contact with Alexina. Everything else and everyone else, unimportant to her in the moment.
