Marco had been a little bit surprised that Waverley had decided to use her magic to repair the stuffed animal, since he was fully aware that Alexandra would just use that freshly mended stuffed animals as sacrifices right again. At least thankfully none of them were doves this time... he wasn't sure he could tolerate seeing another dove being taken apart by Alexandra again. He was already pretty unnerved by the painting they were looking at. He gently took Emily's hand and then rubbed it softly as she spoke.

"Yes, there are going to be six of us on the quest, and we are aware that is... not a good number. But Nancy was rather.... specific about this." His arm moved from holding Emily's hand to wrapping it around her waist and held her close and sighed a bit at that point. He was not wanting to look over at the painting again at that point, since it was just unsettling him more. He still had... nightmares. The day he had witnessed the end of one of the last Wars...

He didn't like talking about it. That had not been a great day. Everyone on the Isle of Manhattan had been asleep, well all the mortals. The creatures that had been flying through the air, the giant gods fighting... it still haunted him sometimes.

"John, good to see you." Lara was glad for the distraction for the moment at that point, since her mind kept wandering back towards other things. "My day went well, went to the Rapids for a bit and managed to survive. What about you? Did you do anything interesting? Did I miss anything of note?" She smiled a bit at that as she settled down at the table and then looked around a bit at that point.

She was getting a bit worried at that point that she hadn't seen Arnora or Klara at that point, but she doubted they would miss dinner. Though something was feeling odd to her at that point. She swore she saw Elizabeth work her way towards the Thanes, and then she looked off to the side and back to John. Maybe the fact that something was going on, maybe that's why she had been distracted all day. She had no idea truly why she had been fixated on the past that day.

"Hmmm... I do wonder what is going on..." She mused aloud and then sighed a bit as she leaned up against the table. She was getting hungry again. Dinner would be welcome at that point and it would help her push the thoughts out of her mind.

Marco was about to remark on Nancy's comment of 'gagging on a spoon,' since honestly, the girl needed to know what she was experiencing was normal. However, he could realize the seriousness of the moment and so decided having the: "Oh honey you sound Ace to me," talk with Nancy would come later. He stood up and went to head behind the counter. He untied his apron and was about to tuck it away when Waverley spoke. "Yes Waves?" He laughed as he saw her put some coins in the jar and then went to fish his share of the tips out before clocking out. "Thanks Waves. See ya later." His last comment was tossed at his coworker, who simply shrugged at the fact that Marco was clocking out early due to demi-god duties.

As they walked to the Augery, Marco took Em's hand in his and gave it a light kiss before they stepped into the building. Once inside his smile dropped as he saw the painting Alexandra been working on. "By gods..." If this was close to what Nancy had seen earlier, no wonder the Praetor was shook up about this.

He decided that he would be the one to try to wake the sleeping beauty, by walking over and gently shaking Alexandra's shoulder. "Alexandra... we need to see your guidance."

Lara stepped off the elevator and then sighed a bit as she looked around and did not see Klara nor Arnora at that moment of time. She frowned a bit at that as she had wanted to see her friends, but well maybe she would go sit with her fellow floor mates and enjoy talking with them over dinner. She did look up and spotted that there were Valkyries there, which wasn't uncommon, but one of them seemed excited for some reason, a huge grin plastered on her face. Lara had to wonder if that meant that someone new would be joining them.

Lara still remembered her own feast with clarity, even though that had been nearly eighty Midgard years ago... It would be eighty soon, that she knew. It had been over seventy years and each year that passed it just hurt a little less. Meeting others like her had helped, and even meeting her father the one time had helped her.

She shifted a bit as she tried to look around for the new face, wanting to greet and welcome them. She would happily invite them to live on her floor if they did not have a room yet.

Lara looked up as she heard the call to dinner and got up with a groan. So much for getting a shower and changing before dinner. Thankfully, the dead cared less about appearances sometimes. So, she simply untied her hair and let it fall down and then got up and headed out of the hallway and towards the now swarmed elevator. She frowned as she looked at it and let out a sigh. She moved and shoved her way through the throngs of people until she managed to wiggle her way into the tiny box and waited for the big doors to slam shut and take them on their way to the dining hall.

Tight spaces were nothing new to Lara. She had gotten use to the elevator quickly in her time in the Hotel, but it also reminded her of a different time. Without thinking her hand wrapped around her necklace and she fidgeted with the little silver star on her necklace. She had planned to convert...

She let her mind slip back to the small room, always smelling of books. Levi loved books almost as much as he loved her. He would have loved knowing that the old Nordic Myths were true...

Lara mentally slapped herself. Why was she dwelling on this so much today? Was her formerly mortal mind trying to remind her of some important date? She wasn't sure anymore about what was going on. When the elevator dinged for the dining room floor, she shoved her way out and went to go see if she could find either Arnora or Klara. She could use a friend.

"Piss poor attitude I might have, Nancy, just charming a Titan is even hard for my mother... or she would have boinked them all until peace was settled. But thanks for the vote of confidence. It does help." It was indeed nice to know that Nancy felt that he could do it if it came to that. It wasn't like he tried to tap into Charm speak too often if he thought about it... he had always assumed when he was younger people had given him things because of whom his father was. When he had found out it had been because of his mother's gift, it had surprised him a bit but well... he never used it on his partners. That would have been dishonest.

"Blame pop culture for why food has to apply to romance Nancy, though again, really, you don't seem the sort to date. As for the senate, if they really get fussy about meeting again, I could smooth things over if you wanted?" It wasn't so much that he didn't just want to help with that, but he also wasn't too fond of Alexandra. She took too much pleasure in tearing apart the stuffed animals to get her visions, and for poor Marco... he had seen her tear into a stuffed Dove once, one of his mother's symbols and that had rubbed him wrong.

"Okay, fine... let's go... thank goodness you brought me a sandwich today instead of that chicken pot pie, huh?" Marco chuckled a bit as he swept up his lunch and then paused. "I should probably let them know I won't be back today... important Demi-God business."

Lara stepped off the elevator on her floor and was thankful a bit for the calm. Yes, she enjoyed spending time with others, like Arnora and some of the other residents in the hotel, but when it came to Dalisy... the woman would not open up to Lara. They butted heads like they were a pair of goats that were fighting over the one part of the hill, when there was an entire mountain to fight upon. Lara always tried to be civil to Dalisy, but it seemed that no matter what she did, it would not matter. However, Lara did know that not everyone could be friends. It was mostly just awkward when Lara wanted to spend time with Arnora... which... was a bit of the time if she was honest to herself.

Lara headed into her room and sighed as she looked at it. In a cruel twist of fate, her room had been designed much like the little apartment she had hoped to move into with Levi when the war was over... the little apartment they would make their live together. But no, the fates had not been kind. Lara didn't even know if Levi had lived or had passed. She had never looked as it would break her heart. She knew that Levi would have never joined her here. He was a scholar, and.... she was a warrior.

She flopped out on her bed for a moment, as she wanted to take a shower but also felt herself feeling a bit drained at the moment.

Marco frowned more as it was explained they would be heading to Mount Tam. Honestly, he was glad that Niah was going to be there, as well as Emily since Charmspeak against a Titan? He'd be lucky if he survived trying to do that to a god... and that wasn't easy. Hell, he only knew of one powerful Charmspeaker that had helped fight against a Titan, and it hadn't been her alone that had done it. So having multiple people there and trying to subdue the Titan would be for the best. However...

"I do agree we should go quickly, but doesn't the Senate need to vote on this first? I know I'm not really into the political side myself but if this is a quest, we need to do this right." He was sure none of them would really want to go to the Senate about this, even though they probably would get approval as both the Praetors were on board with this, but still if they didn't do that right others would protest.

"Also Nancy, I didn't take you as the kind of person that would want someone significant to you to bring you lunch. I was pretty sure you didn't really do relationships."

"Lunch does smell good, thank you for bringing it to me." Marco whispered back to Em at that point and smiled as he relaxed a bit at that point as he started eating. Oh yes, lunch was good but as the topic turned from one thing to talk of Atlas and going to check on his prison on the island... Marco had lost his appetite and soon he pushed his food off to the side to wait for his stomach to catch up with the hungry part of himself.

"Okay Nancy, I do appreciate you wanting to use my wonderful talents at this time, but I am not sure my, as you put it, 'Voodoo magic' can work on a Titan. I have Charmspeak but I do not have it as powerful as some of my siblings... I mean I have it more than others." Marco was trying not to be insulted when Nancy called his charmspeak 'Voodoo' as it really did not work out like that. Charmspeak was... more... influence from what he understood of having used it before.

"So, the Titans and the Giants coming back huh? Well I'm in to help prevent that from happening. Honestly, war is not something I enjoy."

"I'd appreciate that, but I think another day for a rapid run together would be for the best." Lara mostly spoke to Arnora at that point, since she was sure Dalisy had not inclination of ever doing anything with Lara again. Sure, Dalisy had tried to keep the disdain out of her voice, but Lara could pick it up ever so slightly at that point.

"I'll pass on leather working for the moment, but I will want to go to my floor and change out of my wet clothing before I freeze." Lara reached over to press the button for her floor, which was 233. That did mean that Arnora would be getting off the elevator before either Dalisy or Lara, which would probably be a bother.

"So any theories on if there will be anything going on at dinner? I think I heard whispers of a new person earlier, before I got on the rapids." Whenever anyone new arrived that night their death would be played and then they'd be honored. It always interested Lara to see how people had earned their way to the Hotel.
