Stella felt the train jerk as it started to leave the station, and heard a loud voice yelling at them that they had killed his wife. She shivered a bit at that voice and started to pet her little pup more, to comfort herself. She enjoyed the feeling of his leaves under her hands, and the comfort it brought her to have this little living piece of nature with her at all times. She stroked his back, feeling him settle in more and more. She could hear the thud on the train, but figured it was just normal train noises, nothing to be alarmed about at the moment, right?

Stella looked up softly as she heard Niah speak. "Hmmm? Oh yes, his name is Arbor, and he seems to like it so far. It suits him well, and he loves it so much, I can tell. Also a feast would be lovely, but I could do with just some lunch... we've only had breakfast and then we had that fight..." She sighed, and pet her little pup more, and looked at them both. "Do you think that there is a dining car here? I know that is something that happens with trains right?"

Stella looked over at the bag, her eyes going wide a bit. That was a lot of coins, and she recognized those pieces of plastic as credit cards, that they could easily use as they looked to be those tap ones that didn't need signatures. Well, that was about to make up for the fact that they almost missed their train, and would cover some travel costs they might accrue on their trip across the country. Thankfully, it seemed that none of the cyclops family was going to follow them, so they could even board the train without worry or interruption.

She went to board the train with them, and smiled as she noticed that Arbor was asleep in her arms, thankfully calm after the run in with the cyclops Karen and her kid. She followed the other two as they picked out one of the sleeping cabins on the train, and gently set her pooch down onto one of the seats. She looked around the cabin, and gently moved to take her backpack off her back and set it down, before sitting as well. "So, what do we do now?"

Stella shrugged a bit as Jason said that a purse was a weird trophy from a monster. She hadn't really fought enough monsters to know or not know what a normal trophy was. Last time it had been the tail, and she had given that to Marygold, as it had been her kill. This one belonged to Jason, as he had been the one to finish the cyclops off. She wasn't going to try to take it from him, not like that other girl had tried to do to Marygold on her first day at camp. She blinked as she realized it hadn't even been a full day and she was already thinking of the first day as a long time ago. It felt like almost a year ago.

When Niah returned she offered her a small smile and relaxed. "It seems she dropped her purse. I don't know what's in it, since it's Jason's I figure. But waiting for the train seems reasonable, unless the dad catches up with us." She frowned a bit at that idea, as she really didn't want to get into another fight and miss the train they had just thrown all their money at. She checked on her little pupper, and pet Arbor lovingly, and nuzzled him. He seemed calm down, and like a normal little puppy at this point again.

Stella went to put her knife away while still stroking her puppy to calm him more. She had seen the Karen Cyclops mom vanish into a poof of dust, which now made the second time that she had seen a monster poof like that in the last couple of days. However, that was one threat down, and now only the child that had caused all this trouble was left. He had run off, threatening to go get his daddy and have him punish them all. At the same time, the announcement that their train would be arriving in fifteen minutes. That didn't seem right. Had they really been fighting for fourty-five minutes, or dealing with the cyclopses for that long?

Niah took off after the kids, leaving herself and Jason there on the platform. "Should we follow her, or shall we wait?" She didn't feel right just standing their on the platform, waiting for Niah to return. She continued to stroke her puppy softly, petting his ears and back to make sure that he felt comforted in her arms. "How about Arbor for your name? Do you like that?" She whispered to him softly, making sure to speak softly, and try not to upset him.

Stella had mostly just wanted the cyclops kid to stop petting the puppy so hard, as well as try to keep up the illusion that her new puppy was a guard puppy. However, it seemed that everything was falling apart quickly, due to the fact that the child had screamed for his mother, and his mother... wanted to eat them. Great. She had been warned that monsters would always be able to smell out demi-gods and always attack them when they were found out. It seemed it was true as the mother cyclops stormed over and grabbed Jason and tossed him into a wall. Stella let out a cry as she saw him slam into the wall, and she went to pull out her knife.

"Hey puppy, it's gonna be okay, it's gonna be okay. I'm here, and you can come to me, I'll protect you..." First things first, she needed her little puppy to be okay, and to come back to her. It seemed that the talking and tone of her voice did the trick, as her puppy ran back up to her and nuzzled in close. Second thing was the threat in front of them. Stella didn't have much in the way of training, but she knew that you put the pointy end of the knife into the monster. So she dashed forward with the knife and went to attack the mother. Luckily it seemed that she was too distracted, as Stella managed to get a good hit in on her, wounding her across her belly pretty badly.

Stella had been so distracted by the cute little puppy now in her arms that she had missed a bit of what Niah had said earlier, mostly about staying together and staying on the train, and so she hadn't minded it until Jason pointed it out. She was sure Niah had mostly been saying those things for her sake, and she felt a little ashamed that she had not listened to her, and it had just irritated Jason instead of being helpful. She gently pet her puppy, still feeling ashamed until a much younger child walked up and started petting her puppy. She was about to say something when she noticed the fact the child only had one eye.

Stella couldn't remember what they were called, but she knew they were monsters, even if the child looked so innocent at that point. Her puppy was clearly loving the attention, but she was afraid. "Hey, sorry but you can't pet the puppy right now, he's on duty and learning how to do his job." She gently shifted and moved away, closer to Niah and Jason, just in case anything happened. She could see the kid's mother was wearing sunglasses and not paying attention at all to her child. Stella could only hope that the child would leave after being told he couldn't keep petting, as she waited to see what would happen.

Stella was simply beaming as it seemed that there was no issue with her bringing along her new little friend. She would have to give them a proper name later, but for the moment, her companions had agreed to bringing them along, and the ticket seller didn't seem to have any issue with the dog. She handed the money that was needed over to Niah, and watched as she handed it over to the ticket seller. She gently pet the little pup in her arms, feeling their little tail go wild at all the attention they were receiving. "Don't worry, I'll come up with the perfect name for you later," she whispered to the little pup and held them out when Niah said she as going to manipulate the mist.

A leash soon appeared in Stella's hand and a rather dapper little vest the proclaimed the pup a Service dog in training appeared, and the pup gently moved to allow Stella to put it on them. "Thank you Niah, and thank you little one." She gently put the vest on first, then attached the leash and looked around. The mortals were none the wiser, and things were going well. She gently pet the pup and looked up at the older two demi-gods. "So, she said we have an hour right? Should we go wait at the platform or can we explore a little bit?"

Stella was over the moon at the fact that it seemed that her companions were willing to let her bring along her new little pet. She had already accepted that this pup was hers, and the pup was one of the most adorable things she had ever seen in the world. She didn't notice the growing line of people behind them, and their irritation at the fact that they were taking so long. She did look up when Jason spoke again, saying that they probably had enough money between the three of them for the Amtrack tickets to California. She gently pet the little pup in her arms, even as it continued to give her little loving kisses with its tongue along her face.

"It seems that between us we can afford the Amtrack tickets, so we should take those, yes? Also do you think they'll allow my puppy, or does that cost extra?" She would pay the extra for her puppy if needed, but she had no idea if that was even allowed or not. Sure, if her pup was classified as a service dog it would be allowed, but would the mortals even believe that? The dog had just appeared and while it probably looked normal to them, it was still new.

Stella listened to Niah talk to the ticket agent and heard the disappointment in her voice. It seemed that they didn't have quiet enough from what they had gotten from Chiron, and that worrying. Until she remember the money her dads had given her before she had headed out with her friend. She reached into her backpack and dug around for a moment till she felt the texture of her wallet. She pulled it out and then opened it out and counted the bills mentally. "I have about $200 from when my dad's gave me some money, and I didn't exchange it all at camp for drachmas. I can put some of it towards our tickets, if you want."

Stella's attention was taken away from the other two demi-gods she was with when she felt something brush against her legs. She heard a little bark and she saw the most adorable wolf pup in the world. She scooped the pup up and as it licked at her nose, she melted and fell in love with the puppy. "Guys! I think he's claimed me as his owner! Can I keep him? Can I bring him with us, please?" She looked up at the two older demi-gods and held the little puppy up. She could see his tail was wagging as he kept licking at her face. Of course, to any mortals around, the puppy probably looked normal.

So, New Rome was near the tunnel. That did explain a bit why it always made her feel weird to go by. If she understood it seemed that the Romans and the Greeks didn't get along all the time, which was why the separate camps. Or at least she had gathered that from the one day she had been there... and from what had been said about the others, and the complaining from this morning. She heard about Mount Tamalpais and frowned a bit. "I heard of it, but, never been myself. I'm usually too busy helping... my dads." She really hoped that they were okay, but she had just spoken to them the other day and they had seemed to be fine.

"The Mist? Okay, if you don't mind telling me more later. Let's get the train then!" Stella smiled a bit, heading to the counter, humming a bit. She did hear the bit about not saying a monster's name, and made sure to try to keep that information in her mind. She had never been the best at mythology, and that might be better for her. It meant she wasn't about to say something stupid and summon a monster to them. Wait...

"...Just saying the name can summon a monster? Really? Wh... that's scary."
