Monday or Tuesday? Wow, quite the wait. Well, that will mean you'll miss out on the boss battle (you might catch the last part of it but who knows). In that case, can I get your permission to use Haruto in battle? Or would you rather he just sit out the battle?

Yeah, feel free to just use him for the fight. Trying to get a new business going and all, so my presence may be unreliable until tomorrow evening or the day after.
Yeah, just post without me.

There's a festival tomorrow here in Braganca, and Brazilians are quite known to keep things busy during such times. I'm going to be spending all day trying to get my work done while convincing people to do stuff for me, lol.

So I might not be able to post until...Tuesday? Maybe Monday night, whenever I get back from this trip.
Made some quick edits, just info I forgot to add in. lol.

/resumes waiting for car to continue driving
A really short post from me.

Now I leave.
As the rubber band suddenly struck Haruto in the head, the lion-masked boy was shocked at just how much damage such a small and weak projectile could’ve possibly dealt towards him. Growling, Haruto prepared himself to retaliate whoever just shot him, but a bolt of lightning struck him straight into the chest. Without even a chance to guard against the attack, the lion-masked boy couldn’t even give off a sound of surprise before he was sent flying backwards, hitting the wall of a building before sliding down onto the ground, unconscious.

However, inside of Haruto’s mind, the damage was powerful enough to send a jolt to both the shadow and Haruto, causing the demon to release its grip onto Haruto – grunting as he landed on the floor, Haruto quickly recovered and stood up, glaring straight at the demon. Growling, Haruto began to advance towards the lion-faced shadow, which simply stared at the walking boy.

“Yeah…you’re right. All I ever really had was this anger, and this hatred, towards a faceless man that I will never see receive justice for the crimes against me.”

The lion-masked Haruto, once unconscious, now woke up screaming as the lion mask began to crack into pieces. Jolting in place, despite all the damage dealt to his body, Haruto began to roll around, screaming in pain, jerking around as if an unknown assailant was attacking him right at this moment.

“So I’ll let the anger consume me, the hatred devour me, and you control me – after all, we’re one and the same, aren’t we? I was ignoring my basic nature for the longest time, but it’s about time we joined together again.”

Reaching forward, Haruto’s hand touched the right index finger of the shadow in front of him, and the two simply merged as one – a bright light grew from where their hands met, and as the light dimmed away, the gigantic hallway disappeared as well, leaving Haruto in the darkness. However, the solace was comforting and familiar – the boy did not mind it at all.

The lion mask snapped in half and dissipated, and Haruto lurched forward, vomiting out a black material that kept on leaving his mouth. After a few seconds, Haruto managed to wipe his vomit and looked up, seeing a knight dressed in silver armor and a black cape floating right in front of him.

> By facing the difficulties and hardship he held within, Haruto Okada has acquired the Persona Astolfo.

With a smile, Haruto realized that he had absolutely no energy left to even move and join in the concluding fight – with a sigh, Haruto collapsed on the ground once more, stuck in the place between awake and dreams.
Oh man, Haruto got owned.

I'm going to either have to skip this round or post tomorrow. Going to go on a business trip to the next city, so I need the sleep - tiring day today, and definitely going to be tiring tomorrow.
Whoopsies. Fixed~!
Posted. I just noticed that Haruto would do an insane amount of damage to Dai if I used Bash, so taste my thunder instead.
“Of course, getting to the bastard wasn’t going to be so easy.”

The lion walked behind Haruto as the boy found himself in a gigantic, empty hallway. The path went straight, but the lights made it difficult to see anything else – much like the lights inside of a boxing ring, it was positively blinding to Haruto, who had to keep his hand right in front of his face as he slowly made his way towards the back. The lion behind him nudged him forward.

“But how exactly are you going to find the guy?”

Haruto suddenly found himself in front of a big door. Frowning, Haruto had to ask himself whether the hallway was smaller than he thought – there was no way he made it across the entire length of the way with so few steps. As the black door suddenly opened up, a gigantic black hand reached forward and grabbed Haruto, leaving him completely pinned to himself.

Struggling, Haruto had never felt so helpless as the gigantic hand lifted him into the air, and from the darkness within the depths came a massive demon, horned and winged like Dante’s depiction of Lucifer. The demon’s shapeless face began transforming into different forms – his father, his mother, the Father who ran the orphanage…

“Yes, none of those faces are that of your father’s murderer. You don’t even know how he looks!”

The demon’s face transformed into that of the lion, whose fur had become incredibly dark and emanating with a familiar hatred.

“It’s a magnificent emotion – you could direct your hate to anyone by simply putting his or her face over that of your father’s killer. But why go that far? Why try to avenge a man whose last decision was not of poor, little you, who needed him, but that of himself?”

The lion sneered as it brought Haruto closer to its face.

“Your hatred is born of more primal and simpler things. Let it consume you, boy. If anything, this feeling is all you truly ever had.”

___________

“ARE YOU MOCKING ME?”

In response to Dai’s words, the lion-masked Haruto simply screamed words of anger, frustration, and hatred. The pressure that was already being applied onto poor Dai grew evermore as Haruto slowly advanced onto his opponent, ignoring the fact that there was an arrow pointed right at him.

“Did you think that you could so casually say such words without bearing the consequences? Are you so naive that you thought you might simply make an attempt to reason with me?”

Throwing his left hand back, Haruto’s hand closed to the point where it resembled a claw, and the boy readied his legs, as if ready to pounce.

“Very well then, little mouse. Let us see you escape the lion’s den!”

- rolled a 13 -

With a snapping of his wrist, Haruto rushed forward and dove right in front of Dai. With another roar, Haruto back-flipped into a graceful dolphin kick, striking Dai for 25 damage from underneath.

As a lion’s mask formed over Haruto’s face, his blank eyes quickly becoming the color of gold, the limp body of Haruto forced itself up using only its back and legs, almost as if his upper body muscles were no longer working. It turned its head to the side, and the sounds of Haruto’s neck cracking could be heard. With a deep sigh, the possessed Haruto spoke with a cackling voice.

“Well then, I’ve got nothing to hide from you all. No, really, I could care less what you saw – but there’s an overflowing amount of hate burning in me, and I don’t really have anywhere else to direct it to…! It’s unfortunate that you just happen to be here, so call it a poor twist of fate.”

Jumping on the spot a couple of times, Haruto dashed forward with surprising speed, appearing right in front of Dai.

“IT BEGINS!”

With a roar of battle, Haruto twisted his body mid-motion so that he began to spin in the air, and he raised one of his legs upwards, intent on bringing down both the weight of his kick and the unforgiving power of centrifugal motion straight towards Dai’s head.

__________

“This is unbecoming of you.”

The lion sat comfortably on the reading couch that Haruto used to watch television on when he was still in the orphanage. Licking its paws, it opened its mouth in a rather grotesque grin, looking forward as if it was measuring its next meal. Haruto could see the glee in its eyes, as the shadows that had previously tortured Haruto seemingly dissipated, the cackling disappearing with them.

“Don’t you remember the last time you talked to either of your parents? The bitch asked you to be brave. The coward asked you to be brave, as well. So what are you if you’re not brave?”

The lion stood up, and began walking towards Haruto – the boy, in response, began to back away, towards the small television set that he used to watch so much in his younger childhood. The lion began to chuckle, as if amused.

“Why do you fear the virtue of courage, boy? Is it because you’re not truly brave? Or rather, you completely discarded the emotion of fear, haven’t you? Instead of fear, the immense amount of hatred that is brewing within you rages out – I suppose that’s why you ended up being so violent.”

The lion pushed Haruto in the abdomen, causing him to topple backwards, but instead of crashing into the television set, Haruto began to sink into it, with the sound of surprise barely leaving Haruto’s mouth before he was completely submerged into the screen. Falling backwards, Haruto quickly landed on tough concrete ground, although the pain he felt was minimal.

Sitting up, Haruto looked around – the area appeared to be an intersection that was currently burning, but despite all the smoke, it seemed to be familiar to Haruto. He took a few steps forward, covering his face and eyes as he walked through the fire, and he found himself face-to-face with a glass door that he knew all too well.

This was the gym Dad used to go to…

Pushing the door inside, Haruto could see all the equipment inside, all meant to train a boxer; it brought a wave of nostalgia back to Haruto. However, on the top of the boxing ring, was something Haruto did not want to see – a big man dressed in dark clothing, beating his bleeding and dying father.

NO!

Haruto wanted to say something, scream something, but nothing left his mouth as the man raised a carpenter’s hammer over his head before bringing it down on top of Haruto’s father’s head, causing it to crack open. As the spurt of blood flew into the air, Haruto stood paralyzed at the door, reaching forward as if to stop the memory from happening, from repeating all over again.

“Are you reminded? Do you remember what it means to fear, Haruto Okada?”

The lion’s voice could be heard cackling behind Haruto, but the boy could barely hear the beast, as his father’s murderer turned to face him, the shadow of a man whose face Haruto did not know. Yet, across the darkness was the blood of his father, and Haruto couldn’t even let out cries of pain as his demon turned away from Haruto and walked deeper inside the boxing gym, where the coach’s office once was.

“Why don’t you follow him? Why don’t you end it here and now? Vengeance is not unbecoming of you – it might just be the cure,” the lion purred. Haruto had nothing to say in response.
