Name:Richard(Rick) Augustus
Richardson Alias:Brick
Position: (if you are a teacher, please state what you teach. if you are a student, what grade are you in?)
Abilities/powers: Mineral Absorption: The basis of his powers. He has the ability to touch an inorganic material and absorb it into the first layers of his skin, requiring a MINIMUM of 10 lbs of material. For 'full immersion' of his internal organs and the like; it requires a minimum of 100 lbs of material to absorb. Note, the absorption process draws from the available materials, taking it from the environment can put holes in walls or weaken structures.
Mineral transformation: When absorbed, he can manipulate the surrounding mineral of the same kind. In example: After absorbing asphalt, he can make asphalt spikes shoot up out of the street but The limit is the mass around available to manipulate with the same risk of structural damage.
Superhuman Endurance: When he absorbs the materials, it provides him a greatly strengthened physical endurance to withstand blows that would normally hurt, harm, or maim his normal self. If he absorbs enough material, he can be immune to flames, drowning or crushing weight like colossus.
Mineral Phasing: Similar to his transformation, after absorbing the material, he can 'sink' into the material he is part of. Such as to pass through a brick wall or sink down into the concrete floor of a parking garage to evade attacks. The evidence of his passing is clearly visible and easy to track.

Place of birth:Richardson, Tx Weapon(s) of choice: Firefighter Ax. Steel bat.
Medical information: PTSD, Pyrophobic
Brief History: He was supposed to be the fourth generation of police officers, but he watched how much the others in the family would worry every time the news spoke of a wounded or fallen officer, so he chose to become a fire-fighter instead. He felt it was a less dangerous way to save people's lives. He joined the junior firefighters and did his best to graduate quickly.
He had a girl on his arm, a Letterman jacket from JV and Varsity football, a car he could borrow at a moment notice, and the trust of his family. It wasn't some heroic moment, it wasn't some heinous crime. It just happened...
He was in church already not feeling too good, everything felt heavy and sluggish like he was wading through water. It was a hundred and hell outside so no one saw his fever coming when he ran out side to throw up and collapsed behind the abbey onto the cement floor. That was when his first manifestation occurred, someone came to see if he was alright but suddenly ran for cover as his skin turned grey as a storm cloud. No, clouds, Concrete. He was turning to stone right before their eyes as it crawled up his skin, tearing his clothes as he grew in size. But it didn't stop with just his skin as juts of rock shoved out of his body until he was cocooned inside of a boulder sitting in a crater.
A moment later the rock shattered and he emerged back to normal. But the damage had been done, someone had seen him change. Thankfully, it was of his brothers from the firehouse who swore to help keep a lid on it while he figured it out back at their home. He spent the next couple of days trying to understand who and what, the best he could figure out is that if he touched rock, he became rock...sometimes.
He tried to use his gift as best he could to try and be a better firefighter He would often touch the ground like a good luck charm before going into the building, turning into stone under all of his firefighting gear. Unfortunately this did increase his mass significantly enough that he fell through a weakened floor into the basement of a house, which made it it collapse as the structure was compromised, pinning him and the only other person who knew his secret.
Rick had to lay there, immune to the fire and the crushing weight of wood as his friend screamed and cried for his mother for minutes on end until he died in the fire. As far as anyone knew, both died that day.
Rick awoke later that day in the back of a truck, on his way to a place where he can learn to hone his powers.
