Oh really? Do tell the details of the discussion and duel :D!
And intro post posted! I hope everything is good.
The flight to Regno Ricco had gone off without a hitch. In just a few short hours, the private jet the Khan had sent off to transport Lyall had landed. He had slept most of the way there, but he did take a note of the dueling simulator the craft had so he could later be reminded to have some of those installed in his family's jets. Seriously, why hadn't anybody there thought of that yet? Grabbing his belongings and snagging a few sandwiches from a fridge, he exited the jet and made his way down the steps, a sleek black limousine already waiting for him at the bottom. Lyall grinned. "Heh, if there's one thing I can say about the Khan, it's that he knows how to provide for his guests!" Lyall thought it was a bit of a shame he couldn't stand around and admire the city's skyline, but at least he could see the city during the ride. Even from within the vehicle he could see that it lived up to its reputation of a place of splendor, much like the city where he came from. He thought the two cities would've looked similar, but that wasn't the case due to Regno's old styled architecture, which Lyall thought was pretty cool actually. He felt this would certainly be an... interesting trip, and not just because of the Duel Monsters tournament. That definitely was a big reason for his excitement though, he was interested in seeing new duelists and the type of decks they'd bring. The other part came from meeting the Khan himself to talk about some more "professional" dealings, but that was stuff he'd concern himself over at a later time. At the moment he actually did have something to think about, and that was the duel he'd be having as soon as he arrived at the dueling dome. The Khan had been considerate to Lyall's other duties and had moved his duel to a time later in the day. Checking the tournament information on his phone, he saw that his opponent would be some snooty looking guy posing with what seemed to be an Archfiend card. "Makes for a good picture," Lyall said as he pulled out his own deck, "But not a smart move unless you wanted for people to know what you'd be using. Cocky." The limo finally arrived at the tournament's building. The dome looked magnificent, somewhat resembling a colosseum due to the statues of monsters and soldiers carved into the structure, and of course that ancient design many other buildings had here. Lyall left for the dome with only his duel disk and deck as his luggage would be taken to his place of lodging. "Now then, let's get this out of the way!" The opponent was already waiting for him at the dueling stage, but he did not look happy. His eyes narrowed in annoyance as soon as he saw Lyall approach the stage. "I don't know how you did it, but you better have some damn good reason for moving our duel to this hour! I wasn't planning on wasting my time waiting for a duel I'll finish in mere turns!" Lyall raised an eyebrow before crossing his arms and shaking his head. "That's a way to greet your opponent, you're snottier than your profile would let on! Fine then, let me apologize for wasting so much of your precious time by actually making this duel last a few 'mere' turns." Other than a few more retorts, their duel began soon after, with Lyall taking first turn as a result of a holographic coin flip.... ... All details aside, the Duel did indeed last a few mere turns. Lyall arose the unquestioned victor, having lost literally no life points while basically keeping his opponent's field empty with the help of Moth and Girastag, two fearsome fiends that made the Archfiends seem like nothing. "What... how... THAT FAST?!" Lyall chuckled mockingly. "Of course, you said you were tired of being here so I decided to help you out in leaving. See ya later, and... don't feel bad. You were a decent appetizer." With that, Lyall haughtily walked off the stage. It would have been cool to linger around the dome and walk around, but seeing as how everything for today was over for now, there was no point. Now was the time to go to wherever it was he would be staying. ... Lyall was surprised to see his place of lodging would be at the Khan's Hall. He was expecting to stay at a hotel or something but not this. He walked in unnoticed and took an upstairs route, but stopped walking when he heard commotion. It was the grand entrance of the Khan, although Lyall focused more on the other duelists standing there that were completely mesmerized. Their trance was broken by surprise when they witnessed monsters walk in. "Monsters....? Here without.. or are they just costumes? No... they look to real to be costumes, and by the looks on their faces these are monsters they can 'relate' to..." He watched a bit more as the Nekroz of Gungnir and Lily physically interacted with their duelists. From the corner of his eye, Lyall saw two familiar red eyes flash, and turned to look at Evilswarm Kerykeion standing upright with only one of its staffs planted in the ground. "Nice to see you again." Kerykeion nodded before vanishing. Lyall smirked, it seemed there actually would be more to this whole place, trip, and to the Khan himself than he would have expected. He slinked away into the dark hallways afterwards, deciding to meet the duelists at another time.
Coolness, I'll try and get a post up sometime soon. I'll need a good recap of what's occurred though, like I mentioned before, but seeing as how Lyall himself will be arriving late he won't really know what the heck happened anyway. I know that some people are currently at the Khan's place, but that's about it.
-looks up Djinn lock- Wait.... so what'd they do in OCGland that everyone loved? So everything's in the new box huh? I typically don't buy box sets unfortunately, usually I wait until I know for sure I want a certain deck, then build and test it online until I feel I've got it as good as it can get before buying the cards I need. Of course, that also means I don't have trade fodder for later use, but it's whatever. I currently want to build Constellars, but I still have to save up a decent amount of money and then do something totally cool so my parents will treat my using money on cards as a reward instead of being wasteful. Constellars are expensive though :(... Anyone know when DreadPirate will be back online? I'm anxious to know if I got accepted or not. In the meantime, can I at least have a good recap of what's happened so far in the RP?
Speaking of Bujins, a friend showed this to me: https://www.youtube.com/watch?feature=player_detailpage&v=cS5Lfpq8CHs#t=50 Definitely sums up what I'm pretty sure everyone thinks when they see Bujins xD. I've used them before and they are pretty fun to use, especially when you basically get free turns because your opponent doesn't want to attack for fear of your... what, eight Honests? My only beef against Nekroz is that they have waaaaay too many effects and an easy to summon Trishula... with extra effects. Seriously, you might as well bring the original Trishula back if you're basically giving people that same Trishula that can literally be summoned with just ONE monster. Shrit, that little shit xD... unicoreandclausolascangotohellthough Good luck with building that deck though, they're an interesting archetype to play for sure! I'd like to build them myself, but I am a poor boy ;-;...
Aaaaaand done. That took a lot longer to write up than I expected. If you think the backstory is ridiculous, don't worry, even I think it's fricking ridiculous and pretentious due to how it turned out, but I don't know, I was bored and wanted to try and write something cool xD! Will definitely change anything if need be, so I await your verdicts!
Im not the Gm, but it looks kinda sweet. As for you enterting the plot (if you are to be accepted), I think the best way of doing things is to have you enter in your own private limousine or something which ran a bit late? :P And on the site note, Emily and Lyall could have a interesting storyline thingy, check out her details in the characters section.
Really? Thanks, I appreciate the comment :). I'll think of something when/if the time comes, but until then I gotta wait. I checked out Emily's CS by the way, interesting character! I've only seen a vampire deck in action a few times, and from what I can remember, that Bram guy seems to REALLY like sticking around xD! Anyway, yeah, I'd be willing to get a storyline going between them.
Ohoho, Lswarms. A friend of mine runs the deck- the Rescue Rabbit -> double Heliotrope -> Ophion is annoying~. I'll be posting in a bit; work takes priority at the moment.
I run Lswarms in real life too, along with Blue-Eyes and Fire Kings. I think it's my most effective deck and it's definitely my favorite deck to use overall since I have several other decks online. I don't like the typical Rabbit-Heliotrope combo though, which is why I don't use it. A damn rabbit in a deck filled with insectoid demons seems out of place first of all, and it seems really situational considering you have to draw into it with your first draw or wait to draw it later. Then there's the matter of using up more deck space to cater to its ability and to bring it back from the banished zone. Rescue Rabbit is a decent strategy and definitely helps getting out Ophion faster, but I just opt to use different plays. Ophion is annoying though xD, one of my friends pretty much started cussing me out because of it, albeit in good humor. Sadly there are plenty of ways to get around him nowadays, and it seems that every current and upcoming metadeck has a way to get rid of him. I wouldn't be surprised if Konami actually did that with Ophion in mind, because they probably thought no one would want to buy their "epic new meta decks" if they could be stopped by something that came out three years ago.

Appearance:
Name: Lyall Castellan Gender: Male Age: 18 Personality: Contrary to what you'd expect to see in most people who use a deck like his, Lyall typically doesn't go for the whole dark and brooding type of behavior. Although actually possessing a rather chill demeanor, the way he carries himself is one filled with authority and confidence, usually managing to turn a few heads in his direction whenever he's making himself known. His is a commanding presence of course, and being around him will either make you feel reassured or intimidated. Lyall attempts to be respectful to everyone he meets, but if he encounters someone who he doesn't like or whom he feels needs to be dealt with differently, he'll act in such a way so as to make the individual(s) feel inferior and ashamed. Now, to say that Lyall is a completely noble and proper guy wouldn't exactly be telling the truth (well, except for maybe the latter part of that). Whenever serious situations arise, he can be quite ruthless and fearsome, going to morally questionable lengths to get something that needs to be done, done. Being involved in a duel with him in this state of behavior is far from desirable because win or lose, he'll make sure that the other is left with either a humiliating defeat or a pyrrhic victory. Manipulation is also something he's capable of doing, and with pleasure at that. Behind the appearance of the (mostly) likeable young man, it's likely that this side of him is his most genuine side... Bio: Lyall comes from a place known as Aria City, a large and rather famous city well known for its luxuries and dueling tournaments. Behind this splendor however, was the obviously more despicable and decaying area of the city where life sucked and gangs ran rampant. And Lyall... Lyall actually did NOT live in this part of the city. Yeah no, his family was actually part of the elite class involved with the city's dealings and projects, so he actually had it pretty good and rarely had anything to complain about. He picked up the game of Duel Monsters at an early age from his father and older brother who was already making a name for himself with it AND their aspirations to remake the squalid part of Aria City. Lyall took up after this much to his family's pleasure, except he decided to go more after the security and law enforcement part of "business" instead of the whole social reform and restructuring stuff the other two engaged in. Along with dueling, he became well versed in his chosen path and even acquired the (minimal) authority to handle factions of the security within the Squalid Sector (which had at this point become to spread and grow more dangerous due to a rising gang that was actually absorbing the lesser gangs). He handled it as best as he could which wasn't bad by any means, but was in the end only able to hold back the tide with the rest of his associates. ^ Fun fact: He would actually go in himself to experience the Squalid Sector for himself and to test out his ability to duel against more hardened people. It was during these times where he began to assemble the Steelswarm and Evilswarm cards together, urged on by a mysterious voice to do so. One fateful tournament saw the disappearance of Lyall's father and brother, kidnapped and essentially held for ransom by the briefly mentioned criminal group that had been rising within the Squalid Sector. Apparently, they and the rest of the people there were tired of being confined to the area and especially tired of all the "empty promises" made by Lyall's family and their associates. Some weird, how-does-this-even-make-sense revolution thing was in the air, and Lyall's family was going to be the first to go if something wasn't done. Although the associates suggested things be resolved on a more defensive, cautionary manner, Lyall decided it'd be better to do so more forcefully this time, a surprising choice of action considering he usually suggested the same course of action. He claim he would go in and settle the matter directly, which was pretty bold if not stupid considering the situation. He didn't care though. Ever since he began to assemble his new deck in secret, his thinking had begun to change. He felt more emboldened, even cruel, and instead of seeing the crime group in the Squalid Sector as just another group faced with misfortune that needed help, he saw it as something that needed to be eliminated completely. And so he went there, undisturbed by any of the thugs there due to the recent reputation he had gotten for himself, and after some hard fought duels with members of the gang, finally completed his Lswarm deck and switched into it. It was at this point where the Lswarm crest burned itself onto his left hand, as well as the point where his spirit partner made itself known to him as the "voice" that would whisper in his ear. Long (seriously, why is this so long) story short, with the newfound power Lyall pretty much crushed the gang and it's leader, something he found he actually enjoyed doing. He recovered his kidnapped family members, asked the poor beaten guys how the HELL this even happened, and returned home once the criminals were taken into custody. BUT WAIT THERE'S MORE. Turns out gang leader's father was an associate of the Castellan family who did all this to try and get all the Aria City power for himself, so he got defeated and locked up as well. Why would you even do that bruh? This ain't a kingdom! It's a city with... a surprising amount of wealth and status.... I dunno anymore. But anyway, after all the trouble Lyall managed to increase and tighten security around the Squalid Sector, but this security was slowly spread elsewhere in the city by the efforts of his family since they had been convinced by Lyall it needed to be done. Yeah. Oh yeah and he got an invitation to the Regno Ricco Tournament, so he went to it. Why? Because he is still technically a kid despite all the stuff that happened and wanted to have fun (and maybe get this Khan guy to affiliate himself with Aria City). But nah, mostly to have fun, this guy who somehow became some behind-the-scenes "ruler" of a depraved and messed up city that apparently had more stuff wrong in it than just the Squalid Sector, but that's a different story. Signature Feature: Lyall bears the crest of the Lswarm on the backside of his left hand. Acquired after fully assembling his deck, the mark will glow a rusted, crimson color when he is warping a duel with the power of the mysterious Shadow Games or when he is in a duel that has already been turned into a Shadow Game by somebody else. The crest (or rather, the power behind the crest) also seems to be capable of "infecting" people, corrupting their natures into something determined by the darkness already inside them and the "Lswarm Virus". Deck: Lswarm Terror
Favorite Card: Evilswarm Ophion, Steelswarm Moth, Steelswarm Girastag Other: Although it rarely makes itself seen to others, Lyall's spirit partner is likely to be Evilswarm Kerykeion. According to its history, it was formerly Constellar Rasalhague before absorbing the power of the infected Ice Barrier Dragons (Bahamut, Ophion, Ouroboros). There is one major parallel between Lyall and the monster: Despite having the power of a corrupting, overwhelming virus, both retain control over themselves and are not fully consumed by it.
No worries, happens to all of us. I'll try and have my CS up later today since right now I'm not at my actual computer. Also, Cxyz (Chaos XYZ).are basically a more powerful form of a Number monster. They normally require a few high level monsters to summon, but it's super easy to summon them with Rank-Up cards if you have their regular form on the field. I personally recommend against them (since they can seriously be broken as hell) but as always that's up to you.
