Sorry about that now it's fixed. Would have fixed it in the beginning if you had mentioned it on the list of things to fix. I also thought stealth counted as combat skill. So how exactly does stealth work? From your recent posts I gather it helps you go detected until you fire at someone. Also I have a question if this is how it works then does higher stealth make you go undetected again sooner? Also what are benefits of high stealth besides being able to sneak up on someone for lets say a sneak attack?

You had different, albeit also wrong, skills the last time I reviewed your character: https://www.roleplayerguild.com/posts/4712471

Please, pay attention before saying that people didn't do or say something.

You didn't need to add that line to your reply. Furthermore, the kind of skills that are able to be maxed for free were specified in the Opening Posts, you missed that twice, before pointing fingers at me for not being clear enough. Pay more attention in the future.

Anyway, Stealth is the skill to hide and move silently, it's not camouflage (that's what camouflaged clothes and active camouflage are for). It has nothing to do with sneak attacks as well, just the ability to know how to position yourself out of others' sight and move silently in efficient ways.

A rock that you are hiding behind won't disappear after you attack, it's Abilities and items that grant bonuses beyond that which cease to work after you attack.

A way I see that it could work is that a client that wants a certain loot from a dungeon or mission is ill-fitted for it, would rather not risk it themselves or is simply preoccupied to do so hires this group of mercenaries. The negotiate on a first payment that could be either currency or items, and then on the rest of the loot of the dungeon, of which a large percentage goes to the mercenary group.

On the same vein, such mercenary groups could be hired for more malicious purposes, like taking out a certain player.

The first may work, but I still think that most players wouldn't bother to do that. They can always search for the same loot in the Black Market and it'll certainly come out cheaper than an on-demand service.

The second just doesn't make sense in a game where you can respawn after being killed and keep playing again at little to no penalty whatsoever. Unless you live on China and think that hiring digital hitmen is a wise way to get your son/daughter out of the game.
@Kuroyomihime

Hey think I fixed everything with my character sheet you wanted me to. It's the last post on the fourth page.

Your character is better now, however, there's still a small misunderstanding.

Stealth isn't a weapon/combat skill. You can't begin with it maxed for free. You just need to fix those skill points and she'll be good to go.

Would it be feasible/legal for mercenary groups to exist? I'm considering making my character a sort of merc for a group. For instance, they could have him complete a mission/collect loot, deliver the rewards to them, and receive a payment or commission.

That's certainly not impossible, but I don't see why anyone would do that. In a game that's not advantageous from the point of view of neither side. You can do that but probably no one will ever hire such services.
@Foster

You character is pretty much ok, except for a few points:

- Lurk: You don't need to spend stamina to walk, just to run. Also, just like any stealth-based ability, she should lose the benefits of it as soon as she attacks someone, regardless of whether people detect her or not.

- Those weapon skills don't correspond to any of the game's weapon categories. You'll need to fix that naming.

- You are also missing a sample post.
@Kuroyomihime I'm probably going to team with @Massasauga

Alright. We have quite a number of players, so if you could add one or two more, it would be better.
Another question- what other VR games would exist? Something like America's Army or Star Wars Battlefront 3: DLC Boogaloo?

With the technology being as cheap as it became, pretty much the whole game industry is going through a VR boom, as described in the OP. Any kind of game that you think may as well have a VR version.
Forgive me if I missed this, but are teams selected randomly, or can we choose our partners?

You can choose your teams. If they aren't assigned until the beginning of the tournament, I can shuffle the rest of them together randomly.

Talking about this. @Devol, I'll probably have you on my team since Kanna is likely to have some interests on Ryuko.

@Lonewolf685

Your character is ok. You can post her on Characters tab.

@Inkwell

Your character is almost alright. However, there are some issues that need to be addressed:
- Eagle eyes: 8x magnification is too much. Please, cut it in half.
- Exotic Weapons Proficiency: is taken once for each kind of exotic weapon your character wants to use, not once for all of them.
- Trap Making: isn't a weapon skill, you can't have it maxed for free. You'll have to shift those skill points around.
- Knife Fighting Proficiency: should be Melee Weapon Proficiency or Close-Quarters Combat, unless you really want to fight using only knives and nothing more.
- Wrist Launcher: will need a specific weapon Proficiency skill to use, since it's an exotic weapon. Also, that range needs to be reduced as well, since 100 meters is more than double the typical effective range of a normal handgun. Just to explain, the bullets can go farther than that, but it's next to impossible to hit anything beyond the 30 meters mark with any kind of accuracy. A weapon such as this dart launcher shouldn't be this effective since the projectiles are certainly far less reliable than bullets.
- Tri-Blaster Revolver: just as above, this will need a proficiency of its own to work. That said, this weapon is too complex. Cut down the alternative modes and leave it working like either the 1st or the 3rd option, if you want to keep it.
- Shadow Thread Clothing: while the effect is alright, the name feels more appropriated for fantasy, than a sci fi shooting game. Just rename it to something more science fiction oriented and it's ok.
@Foster

Sincerely, I didn't give a proper look at your character since it's still a WIP. I'll do that tomorrow when I'm free.
I'm sorry I saw the picture and her age and that's all I thought.

Until this weekend, yes. After that, I'll be reopening the RP if there's still any slots open.

No problem. I was actually going on with the joke to say the truth.
Just for clarification, until further notice there are no more vacancies for this roleplay, right?
