Current Sorry I haven't been on in a few days, guys! I'm feeling sick, so going to retire, but will hopefully have time after work tomorrow.

Plans for today: clean, reply to Guild messages, work on belated Christmas gift. Repeat. Not a bad way to spend a Saturday afternoon!

Ah, 3a.m. We meet again. My sleep schedule's become really screwy, and it's messing with my ability to keep up with things. I promise I'm keeping a running tally of my PMs; responses may just be slow.

Today's agenda: 30 minutes of cleaning, 20 minutes of crochet/reading/Guild time; repeat until either house looks less terrifying or it is dark outside.

Yesterday, was dispirited because my interest check wasn't getting any hits. Today, bumped it and came back to three messages, TWO of them referencing The Princess Bride. [delighted cackling]

@XartarinAwesome, thank you! I've got a rough draft of my CS cooked up, but I'm gonna crash now and polish it either before or after work tomorrow morning. :)
Doing well on this end, Naril! Little kerfuffle here over how, exactly, I'm going to get to work tomorrow, but that's an adventure to be dealt with in the morning, at this point.

So sorry to hear about your wisdom teeth, @Habibi359. At least it sounds like it's not...been...too...bad...? I hope the uncomfortable bleeding stops soon! I'm afraid I'll have to have mine removed in the very near future--I can't avoid it much longer--so maybe we can share war stories. (After the fact. Any scary stories you have right now, you just hold onto those until after I've already made myself do it. :P)
Ditto what Enzayne said--is it too late to join? I was toying with a hopelessly-unaware descendant of one of the demon's minions--possibly one who is passive to the point of irony and hellishly freaked out by her developing demonic powers. If you guys are full, though, I will happily lurk, as I'd love to see how this one turns out!
Howdy, @Naril! Fancy seeing you here. ;)

Going against the grain, it seems, but if you'd have me, I'd be interested in option number three! If it's number one that takes off, though, I will happily check out the OOC thread and try to brainstorm a character. (I'm less experienced with both cyberpunk and thrillers, but I do love the opportunity to dodge some government spooks!)

And, just to round things out, on the subject of option number two: how much Star Trek knowledge would players need to have? I really like the concept, and I'm mad about Firefly, but my knowledge of Star Trek is limited to the new AU movies and about half of the first season of the first series, watched a long time ago.
Amanda's lip curled before she could stop it, a reflexive, unconscious gesture that briefly bared her teeth. Even she could sense the whisper of wrongness coming off of the rod, and she couldn't imagine what her mother, with her stronger blood, might have been able to get off of it. It was hard to tell how much of her reaction was to the rod itself and how much was a response to knowing what it could do.

Her mind caught on something Robert said, near the end. Something more useful than a million questions, even intelligent ones. Locations. It was probably already on the agenda, but it couldn’t hurt to bring it up...

She glanced up and around the table without quite addressing anyone in particular, one hand fiddling with the sleeve of her cream-colored sweater. "If we could go back to the location, some of us here might be able to get more than just physical evidence.” Not her, probably, but some of them. Mandy’s eyes drifted back to the potential weapon on the table, and she was torn between an urge to scoot further away and an almost overwhelming desire to touch it. To pick it up and turn it over in her hands like just another piece in one of her puzzles.

Curiosity killed the cat, she reminded herself, and suppressed an unhappy smile at the memory of more than one former guardian saying the same thing. She was only half human, after all, and caith sidhe had a reputation for going out and prodding things that probably shouldn't be prodded.
Thank you, guys! And thank you for being so nice. I'm glad to be back. It's very late and I'm not all here, but I wanted to make an appearance and let you know I'd started a post! Should probably stop working on this for the moment, but will hopefully have it ready for you tomorrow! Thank you much for you patience.

How is everyone else? We have myke over here, cracking Dad-level jokes :D We have our lovely GM world traveling and checking in as much as she can. What else is everyone else up to?
Hi, everybody! I already shot our patient GM a message, but I just wanted to drop by and apologize for being so out of touch this week. My trip turned out to be kind of miserable, but I'll be home tomorrow and hopefully back in the swing of things!
I'm so sorry that I myself have been so absent! (This trip has been both busier and more stressful than I'd hoped.) So glad to hear you're feeling better, @Naril! I'll be around all day tomorrow, as both of my hosts have to work, so I'll check in then, after I've slept. (It is so very late where I am, and an hour later in my home time zone.)

I hope everybody else is doing well!
@Naril So glad to hear you're feeling better! I've honestly been pretty stressed, packing for a trip that has not been as organized or drama-free as I'd like, which is why I've been here-but-not-here. I'm flying out tomorrow, but I'm anticipating a fair amount of downtime during the week while my hosts are at work and such, so I'll still be able to post! Just not tonight, because ahhhhh!! I have to get up in less than six hours, what am I even doing?? (Retiring now, sort of, but I'll catch you guys later!)
@Naril Oh, no! I do hope you feel better! Traveling can wear you out as it is, and being sick is the pits. The only good thing is that I always take it as permission to sit in one place for hours at a time and watch whatever I want. :P

@vietmyke That's too funny--I'll be flying out of town a week from today for a wedding! I hope you have fun in L.A. I've only been to California once (and then to San Francisco), but I really enjoyed it.

@Habibi359 Sounds like a relaxing way to spend the weekend! I was restless all day, so I ran around cleaning and doing chores to occupy myself until I went over to my bestie's house for dinner and movies.
