@Prince of Seraphs - Well, thing is Beacon Academy is just that. An Academy, a school, a university. It's not like Atlus. Sure Sapphire may have had a rather rough upbringing, but this isn't a military school even if everyone is essentially training to become a Huntsmen. Sapphire can relax and make friends, I mean shit. She doesn't have to be a cold hearted stick in the mud.

Try this one instead. Still blue, but it has a nice glassy blue you'd get from a sapphire reflecting light. Maybe not that deep blue you would have wanted, but tbh the other blues you were using were about as bad as Ebon Black.

There's sort of a deep metaphorical reason for me using dark blue as her color which is a bit defeated by changing it to something that... cheery. Also Ebon's black showed up neat, crisp and clear on my computer.

Example

Once Krysthane's friend told them everything he knew, Ebon followed her out of the cafe towards the car. On the way he snatched a kitten and tucked it into his pocket, where it mewed quietly in confusion. Wanting to keep the little cat a secret Ebon spoke to it using his telepathy. "Hush little one. We're going to hang out, just for today." Once the team arrived to the car Ebon had his doubts. He wasn't sure if he could fit the Kingdom inside, and if he could it was going to be a tight fit. He also questioned Krysthane's driving ability. Ebon at least had a license to drive, though he never had the Lien to buy a car. "Don't park us up a tree Krysthane." Carefully maneuvering The Kingdom into the back seat, Ebon waited for the others while stealthily playing with the kitten behind his tower shield.

As for the other stuff, the reason I didn't address it was because I wasn't sure if you pointed it out because you wanted something done about it or not. Generally speaking, if it's not a problem, it probably doesn't need to have that much attention focused towards it. As for Gren and Shiro not noticing Sapphire's new armaments, well... They don't really like her enough to care. Sorry, but as nice of guys that Gren and Shiro are, even they have their limits. At the very least, they have the impression that Sapphire doesn't like/care for them, so they're keeping their distance from her too. Cuz you know, when you're going to be aloof and distant, you're going to end up aloof distant.

Well I didn't recon they'd ask if she was going somewhere dangerous or care if she was doing something that could get her killed but a raised eyebrow or something seemed kind of appropriate. Its not really important though. I just thought it was odd that it didn't register at all.

Gren hasn't quite given up on Sapphire yet. The relationship between her and Shiro is between them, but for now Gren can at least share her mentality of "you are a tool to me", even if that's not what you wanted Sapphire to be perceived as to Gren. He ain't perfect, and he has issues with those in authority who don't take into account his thoughts and feelings about the team dynamic either. And admitidly, he accuses Sapphire mostly in his head, so it's not a fair perception. But if they can at least see eye-to-eye in this false perception as tools for one another, maybe they could reach an understanding in which they figure out they're only seeing each other in that way because that's what the other expects them, not necessarily how they want it to. Or maybe that's exactly how one or the other side wants it to be, who knows. Balls in your court now Seraph.

Hey that's Gren (and apparently your) opinion. To Sapphire its just a matter of not wanting to get too involved with the day to day lives of those she works with. She views the hunter's lifestyle as military in nature. You'd be polite and everything to your commanding officer in the army but you wouldn't be getting all buddy buddy with them, same goes the other way around except the politeness thing would be a courtesy not a requirement.

I don't think dark blue shows up very well on this background. If you can find something that reads decently I'll gladly use it but I don't think there's much I can do, most of the shades that are anything like Sapphire's color likely won't show up properly on the Guild's color scheme.

I thought I did, I used to use DarkBlue, now I'm using 321A8C. It seemed a lot less visually offensive when I finished finding the sequence.

Whoa whoa whoa, it was passing comment. I was mildly annoyed at not getting a mention when the others involved did and I drew a parallel between that and Shiro ignoring Sapphire. But it was nothing more than that... is there something I should be apologizing for? Cause that seemed like kind of a disproportionate respond to an offhand thought unless you were mad at me about something else.

And no, no one cares about someone carrying an arsenal around especially when considering this is again a fantasy setting where little girls can run up sheer mountain cliffs and slay demonic beasts with a scythe twice her size that's also a sniper rifle.

It wasn't a comment on what is and is not allowed at Beacon or what's normal in the RWBY verse. It's just rather unusual for Sapphire and I thought two of the people that have known her the longest at Beacon might notice enough to make a passing comment about what she was planning on doing that day or even a passing thought.

It just sort of felt like the players of two characters that I really like interacting with put the absolute bare bones minimum of effort into including my character in their posts (and only cause I barged in on their current IC event) which made me feel like you guys really don't want me around but were too polite to ask me to edit the meeting out of my post. Whatever though, it's not really important.

@Lucius Cypher@harinezumikouken It just occurred to me that your characters have been talking about going to the Emerald Forest to uncover the mine where SASG destroyed the combat mech. Except the HoB cast had their initiation in the Forever Fall forest, it was the official RWBY cast that started in the Emerald Forest. Not sure how to reconcile that, maybe just an edit somewhere.

Actually the root of the word comes from French and several different Latin dialects making the use of either A or E in the spelling acceptable. Spelling it "Minstrel" was popularized by Blackface comedies from the later 1800s.

And damn that came out way more douche than I meant it.
