@Prince of Seraphs - Ooh, I didn't know this.

This will be useful.

I got the impression that Blake was only safe because Adam wanted to kill her himself.
In "Best Day Ever", Emerald Sustrai reveals that the White Fang is disappointed in Tukson's abandoning of the organization, suggesting that leaving the organization is punishable by death.

Should Skyra, Grane, Gren and Geni be worried about this?

@PyroDash888@Nytem4re@Lucius Cypher@LokiLeo789
It would be a temporary fusion through the magic of RWBY's stupidly advanced weapons technology.

I mean, it could just be that the swords are made out of a bunch of small sections to allow for the bending required, the ones at the end have mutual clasps built in.

Or a very firm magnetic seal.

That's sort of what I was thinking. Sapphire's mother specialized in the intricate mechanisms used in transformation and collapsing technology so it seemed reasonable that I go with that approach. Was just curious if anyone had any different ideas. Might implement that dust core idea into the design. Thanks.

@Prince of Seraphs Should I post or would you like to go first? o-o; (just checking again to make sure of things!)

Yeah, I mean I could post but the next Sapphire post she's going to be leaving to test new weapon types in prep for creating new primary weapons for herself. So I was hoping for a Sangue reacts post before I did that.
@Prince of Seraphs

For some god forsaken reason it's harder to find then it out to be, but if you're blades aren't too broad perhaps something similar like this? Though it'd probs be tough trying to hide two scimitars in a straight staff, what with scimmies being CURVED. SWORDS. Personally I'd suggest something like this, were the weapon is detachable at the hilt so it can either be two swords or a single double-ended twinblade of sorts.

Come on man, you're the king of cool things that only kind of make sense. I'm looking for some of that here.

Well, running more off of RWBY weapon logic than real weapon logic.

Staff mode is activated by slamming the flat of the blades together and pulling the handles in opposite directions. As this happens a dust charge is activated and the blades kind of spiral as they extend.

The end result is a metal coil around a nasty elemental center, probably fire or lightning. Said element is channeled into whatever gets hit while your character wears special gloves to avoid being damaged himself.

Not a bad idea if I understand it properly but wouldn't the transformation be kind of permanent. Sounds like the metals getting melted to create the second form.

@Prince of Seraphs Grane is in the same boat as the rest of team STRG/RGTS in that they can't really do anything yet until the time skip happens. At the very least, I've kept in touch with them and they're just waiting for the opportunity, otherwise I would have had Gren bring Grane and Robert on this adventure too.

Sort of took that meant he was gone. @Nytem4re You still around?
OH SHIT THATS RIGHT! With his affiliation to the White Fang, that's four people who are White Fang deserters! We can totes make a team comprised of us deserters now. That's.... Gren, Grane, Geni, and Skyra. Hmm.

Grane's gone. Also Skye's was White Dang? What's the story there? And I feel I should mention that Geni's White Fang association is likely common knowledge at this point. Half the junior year found out about it in armoury class and you can assume the gossip mill would fill the other half in (and possibly the other years).
@LokiLeo789 - Pfft!

Some king.

Shiro x Geni rivalry is happenin' if and when your CS gets re approved to rejoin.

Well Geni and Sapphire are friendly so obvious Shiro can't like him. That's just the nature of things.
I'm thinkin' somethin' like the Rakuyo.

No idea what that means.
@Prince of Seraphs

Are you wanting the blades to be present like on the ends or just a straight bludgeoning staff?

Straight bludgeoning staff though I'm considering a separate mode that has blades on the ends at the compass points.

It's your turn I think (since Gren posted). o-o;

Sapphire's got to bale out before things get moving (which they will next Shiro's post as he's not one to hang around after Gren has blasted off) and I need a Sangue post before I can go again.
@NarayanK - It's not to say that your characters are uninteresting. It's just that there are obvious inspirations no matter where you look. Like take for example Shiro. His weapons are ripped from Monster Hunter. His design is ripped from ************, his name comes from a favorite character of mine from No Game No Life, and his personality is a lot like Naruto's in a sense. When he's broken down like this, you can say that there's hardly any originality left.

But it's in how you as the writer/artist piece these parts together and execute them that make the character and I'd like to think Shiro is pretty interesting. It's just the nature of the beast. Over time, artists' works are going to have some similarities because we as humans go "Hey, that's pretty cool!" or "Hey, that's a good idea!" and borrow bits and pieces. So yeah, there are going to be come similar comparisons made but there are key minor differences that make it yours.

I mean, anyone can simply go "Durr hurr Call of Duty and Battlefield are the same game duuuur" but it's in the minor key differences and execution of said games that make them vastly different from one another. And make them their own unique brand, just like how Sangue and Apophis are uniquely yours.

TL;DR - SANGUE AND APOPHIS ARE COOL. DON'T FEEL BAD IF THEY LOOK LIKE OTHER CHARACTERS FROM OTHER SHIT.

@NarayanK There are no new stories, only new ways to tell them,

Incidentally a lot of the novel ideas I have come from duplicating a scene or event from a video game or other novel but changing all of the circumstances related to that scene or event. In an RP I was in with Lug (link in my sig) my characters Dawn and Elizabeth were created around the scene from Final Fantasy Rings of Fate where there father is murdered. But from that an entirely different story, characters and world emerged even if that scene is still almost the same as it is in the game.

On an unrelated not who has a good idea for how two scimitars could turn into a metal quarterstaff? I've got a couple half ideas but want so hear someone else's take on it.
