I don't know what danger mankind is in, but I know we have to do something with what we've been given." She paused for a moment, glancing briefly at the others in the room. "I don't know about the rest of you, but I'd like to know what I'm capable of doing now. Defending the world, I don't know if that's even possible, but I guess there's only one way to find out."

Victor smiled happily at his bride-to-be, gently reaching out to hold her hands in his. He see out of the corner of his eye that they were already snapping tons of pictures of them. He thought about how he'd explain this to her later, when blurry pictures of them were all over the low-brow tabloids. He wished suddenly that he hadn't done this, that he hadn't brought another person into this celebrity lifestyle. He smiled at Micah; she was beautiful and normal, and she had no idea what she was in for. Though, really, neither did he.

George shook her head. "No, I can't explain it, but I want to do something with it." she replied, setting her plate aside. She had kind of been joking around before, but she could tell now that humor wouldn't get her anywhere with this guy. "What's your plan?"

George set her fork back onto a plate baked ziti and gave Zodiac a cynical look. "So Jesus gave us super tattoos? For the greater good?" she asked cynically, taking another bite. "And what exactly is the greater good? Why did this happen now, and why to us? And what are you going to do about it?"

Victor nodded and went into the chapel. It didn't take long for his family to filter in behind him. Truthfully, the only family member he had was his grandfather... everyone else was another Forbes 400 acquaintance or a minor celebrity, unless they were thinly veiled paparazzi. He made his ay around the room, making a point to talk briefly with everyone there without having a full conversation with anyone; it was clear that they were all doing the same thing. Victor thought little of it; it had always been this way for him.
