I apologize for inactivity - muse has been elsewhere lately. I will reply to RPs here asap
When everything was settled and Alex had secured the barricade better than he would have alone, he looked to the older man. Examining him, it looked like the outbreak happened months ago, but he knew for a fact it was just a week - he had the notepad with the tally marks to prove it. Maybe the guy was a survivalist and was roughing it beforehand? That kind of person would be nice to have around, actually. Thank God he didn't just shoot him with that rifle on his back and take what he had.
"Thanks," Matthew said softly, jumping when the doors banged again. He looked over the knot Alex had tied, trying to see if he can undo it in his mind's eye, so he can hopefully commit it to memory just in case it's needed later. When Alex had asked his name, he looked up at him again. Should he really? There's no harm in it, really, right? This guy's not gonna use it against him somehow.. Right?
He took Alex's hand to shake, "Matthew. You can just call me Matt."
I felt bad posting so little in response to such a long well written post but I cannot for the life of me write that much unless it's dialogue. forgive me ;n;
Matthew was trying to look for something - anything - to block the door with. He unintentionally Peter-Pipered a large group of zombies for the simple reason he wandered into a damn trap. He resorted to using a chair, then used the strap of his bag to secure the door handles together.. Hopefully that holds against however many he brought along with him.
Just as he started to settle down, he felt the water pour onto his head. He let out a girlish shriek and got out from under the torrent of clear liquid, briefly thinking he just stumbled into a zombie haven and just got drooled on.. he realized that was a dumb thought not long after. He looked up to examine the ceiling, looking for gaps or anything where it could have rained before, again, realizing that's a dumb thought. It's hotter than Satan's asshole out there and it hasn't rained during the whole event. That's when it hit him.
There might be someone else in here.
The blonde didn't know what to think for a moment, but a hard thud on the library doors told him he probably shouldn't worry about that right now. Besides, if the person wanted him dead, he'd be dead by now.. unless they're sleeping, or haven't come back from death yet. He shoved the doors closed when they threatened to open, then quickly exchanged the chair for a table - that'll surely be better, right?
My writing is really choppy and weird I'm sorry XD hopefully it's not too jarring, though.
Matt answered Percy’s inquiry, “All of you will be necessary for this operation, I believe, Mr. Moore.”
”Well no shit,”Percy replied shortly, “I meant.. I swear I remember getting told that we’d be split into teams?”
“Not for this one, Mr. Moore. Is there anything else you’re curious about?”
”Why you keep calling me by my last name, I guess?” Percy had a small flash of a smile on his face - he thought that was funny. ”Just call me Percy. Really.”
“Alright then,” Matt went along, “Mr. Percy?”
”Just Percy.”
i don't like the way this came out but it's better than nothing.
Eli made it to the elevator before her solitary journey ended. A quick pattering of feet brought Vera onto the lift just before it began to rise, and Eli hurriedly dragged her away from the edge.
”What are you do—”
The tiny girl snatched Eli by the wrists and pulled her down close to eye-level. Her face was pulled serious, brow low over her eyes, mouth a pouty frown that lacked any real anger.
”You can’t go.”
”What?”
Vera was adamant, small hands closing around Eli’s wrists. ”I don’t want you to go.”
Eli took the girl’s hands in her own, more to free herself than anything, and stood back up. She smiled despite herself, tracing Vera’s palms gently. ”What’s the matter? I thought you liked being my assistant--”
”You’re gonna kill people. You’re gonna kill people and then you’re gonna leave. It happened to Ms. Captain, it’s gonna happen to Stein, and it’s gonna happen to you.”
The lift came to a stop at Blur’s cockpit, and Eli let Vera go before stepping back. The smaller girl’s upper lip was far too stiff to tremble, but her eyes were wet, and she yanked the ushanka down low to cover them.
”Vera, I’m coming back, alright? I promise.”
But she received only silence in response. Vera descended with the lift, and Eli was left to climb into Blur with only the hope that the girl wouldn’t worry too much.
Now the thing is, are we gonna start with describing how that happened, or just as they all meet up in the library? I mean, once Nutter and Vash give their OKs or no-gos, that is. I kinda think starting just as everyone's grouped together in the library would be a fun if a little weird way to start, but I'd be cool with RPing everything up to that point, then.. you know, continuing, of course.
