Bio

Hello! I'm LadyRunic! But you knew that...

I love most types of Role Play, but by far my favorites are those that are well thought out and worked with. Especially when you can find a group you can work well with. I love books- So many books. It's a running bet that I will become buried under a pile of said objects one day... I'm a tad busy, and when an Rp really catches my interest I'm inpatient for posts. It's like reading a good book and getting stuck on a cliff hanger.

You can generally expect posts regularly once a week if not more.

I've RP'd for the better part of fourteen years, so I can honestly say I have some experience and I've developed the understanding of what I expect of a partner in a one-on-one or a group. I'm also the sort who will speak up and point out something if it looks off or forms a problem to me. I spent most of a year once stuck in a Voice Chat Rp that was hell on Earth, so I'm straight forward when I need to say something. I expect this in return from my Rpers and DMs. I want to improve my writing and love constructive criticism.

Alice was not scared of skulls, infact they were a motif she often used in her halloween dresses. But her wariness only heightened as 'Thomas Linder' repeated her very own words that were said across the room. There was no way for the man to have heard that lest he was like Liza and her, or perhaps had some techie gadget or something. Trapped by her own well meaning manners once again, Alice wished she was less of a lady. Or bold enough to polietly decline the stool she ginger sat upon. Fussing with her dress so it would lay correctly and not get wrinkles. Her hand slightly shaking, his words mere moments before stabbing far too close to her wrecked nerves.

Again, another person asked her name! Well, she could tell one lie a thousand times and perhaps it would become true. But her lips twitched in a small smile even if the same smile didn't reach her emerald eyes. "Shouldn't a gentleman introduce himself first?" She admonished with a gently tone. This was a ball, was it not? So she would dance the dance of manners if he wanted her name he'd need to give his. Or something Alice could precive as his. "And friend of a friend? That's a interesting way of putting it." Trying to shrug off the oddness. To return to her 'normal' life. Even if this new 'normal' had her drinking blood.

OOC will be going up in two days not one. I've got some things going on IRL, so that's why that is so. Not to worry, it's still a thing.

Richard Laine

Location The Institute

Richard Laine was irritated. At OMEN, at humans, at this mess, at the now nicknamed 'Weeds'. Fitting as she was stubborn as the invasive plants and just as irritating. Typical, he supposed, of a red head. His first loyalty was to his sister, he second was to Guin what with giving him a chance to be with his beloved little sister and all. Swearing under his breathe Richard gave a string of curses that would turn heads if the situation wasn't so dire.

"You stupid, arrogant, stubborn weed!" Richard groaned as he grabbed MaryGold's arm and swore viciously once more. "You say you get to boss others around, then use your head little girl! Whose going to come up with plans if you die. The leader cannot die. The center must hold. You keep telling yourself you are it, then be it and know when to retreat." The Adder's snake like eyes glowered at MaryGold as he dragged her back towards the escape craft. Will she or no. Even Ayita would not withstand his will when Richard dug his heels in like so. "Damned redheads. Light their temper and up go their brains." His voice was a venomous hiss.

Ayita Dyrkin

Location The Institute

The tabby cat looked at the odd man who was attempting to figure out the blasted piece of human machinery and foolishness. With a flick of her tail, Ayita dismissed the young man as cats typically did. Her ears flicking towards the professor as she lept up onto the back of a seat on the Blackbird. Her feline form handling such a thing easily. "If these men do reach here...." Her amber eyes held no mercy in them as the Shifter sent her thoughts to the Professor. Her needle claws a mimicker y of what she could be capable of as she kneaded at the bottom of the passenger seat.

Tiger, wolf, horse, raptor... Ayita knew them well after a year and a half of hard sparring. After surviving in the frozen north she was used to hardship. It was live or die upon the tundra and icy forests. "They will not leave here. I shall see to it." It wasn't a smug answer that another would give, but it was a statement. A fact. If a enemy did reach so far into the Institute Ayita would deal with them and there would be no mercy nor quarter given. For the cat with the nicked ear was not fond of hunters nor humans who were threatening what she cared about and was unable to help. Turning her focus to another question which Xavier perhaps would have an easier time answering. "Where do we fly to?" Her thoughts were accompanied with images of great snow capped mountains and far oceans with the bitter chill of winter.
Alice was about to agree to the enthusiastic Aleera as she suggested they chat when Dalton intervened. Though the tailor merely batted an eyelash, if they had business then they had business! Who was she to interfere? After all Alice was a business woman herself and understood the need to speak privately. "It's not an issue." Alice assured Dalton as she gave him a charming smile beneath her green and black mask. Pleased to sit and study the ebb and flow of the crowd.

But, once again, her thought for the future was interrupted by Aleera this time as the woman suggested that Alice might wish to converse with the man in the black skull assemble. While that wasn't a overly bad idea, Alice did raise a slight brow. So he was friends of a sort with Dalton? Welcomed relief flooded her at the name and assurance that he was 'quite a fellow'. If the tailor was honest with herself, she was a tad on edge with worry for Liam, but was stubbornly pushing that to the side. She would go on with her life and if the bastard showed up-! Well she'd figure out something then. Making her way over to the far end of the bar, the woman hesitated before giving a slight and small 'ahem' to the thusly named Thomas Linder. "May I sit here? Aleera thought you might wish company while she absconds with Dalton." Her smile was small, a wariness settling about her that wouldn't had been there if she hadn't wandered down the damning lane of worry.
@Noxxis Are you still interested in doing this?
Alice blinked at Dalton in a startled shock. "You don't know?" Her voice was incredulous even as Aleera asked the same thing. She had thought it had come up and honestly thought she had avoided it so well. But it that was so, then she could perhaps work with some similar? Her mind was too startled to come up with any really good cover, so the vampiress was scrambling. "I thought I had told you?" Alice frowned more to herself than the white masked man.

This was not good, she had thought that perhaps Liza had a cover for this, but she was not sure. There was a chance he had heard Liza call her Alice. So it was best to stick with that. Even if the police were looking for her, there were a lot of 'Alices' in New York City. One of the major cities of the world as far as Alice's father said. Her own opinion was slightly different, but she wasn't one to argue over a pointless fight. "Alice..." She answered honestly, struggling to come up with a proper last name. Something that wouldn't connect her to her old life. "Mary Alice Jane." She lied, a sour look about her lips and in her green eyes. The name was a ugly one and not one she cared for. Best to play off that fact. "I did say it was something like Allie..." She admitted to Dalton, giving him an apologetic look. "I don't really care for it. So please. I merely ask you stick to Alice. Mary has never suited me." And it never would!

Rhys Asher

Location: Wizard Way

The tall and dark wizard stiffened at Erinie's words. Noting the trio with a sour twist of his mouth, Rhys decided he would have to call this meeting short and risk filled. It wouldn't do to kill four victims in such close proximity to the locked down Wizard's Tower after all. A flash of anger rose through the rogue wizard's face as he gritted his teeth in only partly a show. "So of course you think I'm mad. What with a whore for a mother who was probably drugged up to her eyes in potions, from what Erik spewed." Well he could remember the wizard's scathing comments and harsh words. The very reason Rhys had ended his former mentor's life.

"I risked enough coming out of hiding to this place with some bastard trying to kill me to help a boy, and this is what I get met with." The taller man turned away with a long sigh, as if he was exhausted by his efforts. Running a hand through his thick locks the taller wizard shook his head slowly in sorrow. It was true, if the guards got their hands on him and connected him to the murder of Erik he would probably die. "Just forget you've seen me Ernie, if only for the boy's sake. I can't help him if whatever killed Erik gets to me." No he wouldn't be able to help the boy if he died by his own hand, not that he ever would. Moving back towards the street, Rhys let his steps be slow and solemn. Rushing would only get attention he didn't want or need. Plus it wouldn't let the shorter wizard catch up or speak if he was going to. But this was a problem. That Ernie had seen him, and knew he was alive. This was not the plan. Resolving to pay a visit to Fleur and ask for a few deaths in return for her asking price- and hoping it he could lower it.
Alice rolled her eyes at Dalton's comment, though she didn't argue. Doll face indeed! She wouldn't lie as she did often look similar to the porcelain dolls that lined shop shelves. With her pale skin, large green eyes and fashion choices it was a common parallel that people drew. Not that the tiny tailor really minded. But her attention was torn from replying as a woman dressed in black approached.

In all reality, Alice was feeling a bit under dressed for the occasion, but there was no hope for it. As she flicked a keen gaze of the woman's garment, the young vampire found herself appreciating the selection. Good taste did count for something, as well as good care for one's clothes. But this Aleera, was it?, Alice found her comment a little off putting. Not wanting to be assumed as Dalton's date. After all, that wasn't her intention in the least. Not towards any man after that fateful night. "Merely a friend's friend." Alice answered softly, looking a tad bit embarrassed at the thought of being Dalton's anything. "So you are quite correct in some regard." Her smile was a small one that was polite but nothing more as she skated by giving her name. Uncertain what to say and not wanting to reveal herself or lie.
Alice nearly fainted in bliss at the sight of lovely glamour and elegance that she had missed so much since that fateful night. It wasn't that she wasn't grateful for Liza's aid, she was!, but the tiny tailor enjoyed the elegance of life. The flow of the dance, the chatter as she pinned someone's dress in place as gossip was passed between two people. Often times Alice found tidbits she could use to tailor the dress and make it even more suited to the customer in subtle ways. It was a game to Alice and she enjoyed it like nothing else. Her emerald eyes bright as she gazed at the different styles and masks. They were memorizing! Absently she handed her ticket to the staff. Her mind elsewhere.

Her body however gave a involuntary wince at the monkey masked man. The mask was not fitting, she thought, but who was she judge? It was his choice to dress as he would. Though she would give the credit due to wearing a decent blue suit. The red woman, a classic as far as Alice could judge. Her elegance and her smile matched in such a way that it was a professional job that made Alice sniff slightly. She would have made a better dress, the tailor assured herself. Envy welling inside her as she fought back the urge to scamper away and make a better ensemble than that outfit! The white and gold cat masked woman was too elegant and Alice almost sighed in another wave of envy. She really wished she had her sketch pad with her and a shop full of materials at her beck once more! But as her eyes turned to the black skull, she gave it an absent thought that it was a daring look. Terrifying yet most likely a perfect gentleman that simply was pulling a few legs with this masquerade style. Looping her arm in Dalton's the tiny vampiress smiled at the mans she was going to set Liza up with some day. "Thank you, again, by the way."
The lobby, the elevator, the building was typical of what Alice expected from such an establishment. The refined and classic taste that higher ups usually had. Her heels clicked with that sharp note she had missed this long week. The same sound that often was echoing about the Timeless as she worked. A flicker of sadness welled in her eyes as she dwelled upon what had become of her shop and designs. So she sought another outlet for her focus. Her heart heavy with sorrow she could not fix.

Lucky it was that Dalton provided just that. Admitting that he had invited some friends to the gathering. Doing the thing that came natural to her, Alice beamed at the man from behind the black lace that covered her mask. "Not at all! Liza has been at me to get out more." She mentioned with a slight apologetic smile. "Though I wish I had the time to get her into a dress herself. The woman would have looked stunning." She noted, with that same air of irritated regret in her voice as she felt at that fact. "I'll be glad to meet your friends, Dalton. I'm sure they are exquisite people, much like yourself." She teased and partly flirted harmlessly with the man. He was not her type, and even then... Liza had first dibs so far as Alice saw and she was not about to step over the woman she owed so much to!
