The redhead's abrasive words, while not enough to set him off completely, were enough to cause Farran to lose some of his control. Purple fog began to boil out of him in fits and spurts, coiling lazily through the air for a few moments before fading. Farran tried to make himself even smaller, pressing his hands over his ears to try to block out the noise. As his negative emotions spiked, the radius of unease increased, encompassing fully half of the room.
"Shut up." He forced out, speaking mostly to the redhead. Hopefully he would listen.
