After a small bout of fighting, the group was united with Kosara and many of the the adventures inspected the centipede and the strange symbols it had on it. Many couldn’t quite figure out where it was from, nor had any of the them previously seen it, but Jakyn did know that the symbols were new to the time. However, many of you continued on after that, heeding the call of the voice. You all can see the image of an old man in leather armor standing in the trail looking at the Paladin who seemed far to overzealous for his own good, this was Gale of Dalfjour, another one of the voice followers.

As the party regroups with one another, albeit slowly and skeptically, it seemed that forest grew more blackened and dreary as they got closer to the tower, despite not having had seemed the dead wood from atop the hill over a mile and a half ago. That did not stop you though, you were so close to the tower that now seemed to tower even more over you than it did when you had seen it before.

Many of you can see the door, a little ways away, but there is also a bridge that seems as if it could snap at any moment. What is worse that it seems like some has made camp on the same side of the bridge you guys were walking towards. Then, you all spot the banner with the same symbols as the centipede had, clearly these were the ones responsible for that mounting that centipede. You can all hear activity from the camp as well, noises of preparation behind a ramshackle wooden stockade that seems flismier than a leaf.

“Come on lads! We haven’t got all day!,” you hear a harsh voice shout to the men, “We start the assault soon! Once Valmire and his men arrive, the tower becomes ours!”

>What do you do?
Most of you begin the trek down the road to the tower, many of you looking into the forest and for the most part seeing nothing, except for the dim light of a torch in the distance to the left of the road. The Goliath, eager to serves his god attempts to run forth to claim glory and do the will of Torm, but he is ultimately slowed down by his armor and pack, though managing to take the lead of the group. What everyone does notice, is a large trail of broken trees leading to the very tower you were all heading towards. Except for Jakyn, Jakyn is looking directly at the ground and believes that something seems fishy about it, you go teach that dirt a lesson Jakyn.

The monk, Norrlia, spots addition tracks in the path of toppled over trees and concludes what beast had been heading that way. Whether or not she would tell the group was up to her. However, there is shifting in the nearby bushes, Graham had known something was waiting for some time on the road and it had ruined the creature's surprise. Instead, it ran off, whatever it was, it was a big creature that was simply to obstructed by foliage to know what it was.

Meanwhile, Kosara made her way through the forest on her own, while there were no messages left for her, there something off about the the forest. It felt more strange and foreign than her home, however, she did not have time to ponder about this fact as she came across a sleeping creature. It was a giant owl, and upon closer inspection, it was not sleeping and it was in fact staring right at her. Yet, it did not seem to notice her and instead turned its head to another direction, that is where Kosara spots an area on the creature’s wing that has a large noticeable gash, fresh blood leaked from the wound and painted the Snow White owl feathers a crimson read.

>Kosara must make a perception check. Success

As astute as Kosara is, she managed to notice a centipede approaching the own from the brush. It is not a normal centipede though, this one easily puts the common bug to shame in it’s size. It looks as if the centipede is stalking the owl.

>What will Kosara do?

There is strife over the lands, wars are common and lords are more than willing to attack one another to gain more power and solidify their hold over the lands. The one powerful and prominent kingdoms have fallen into civil war, nations which have stood for thousands of years had suddenly collapsed overnight. No one knows why the lands have turned into an area of bloody war, but someone must do something as no nation has been spared from what is being called the “Plight of Greed”.

Farms are left abandoned as levies are raised, taverns left cold as no one tends them, and roads a place ripe for ambush and pounded by deserters of their wars who have found better ways of supporting themselves. Whoever you are, you have been sent a vision, whether you be holy and believe it to be divine or a powerful mage summoning you, you have felt the need to travel to the one place still unaffected by the trials of war.

You can hear the wizened voice calling your name, and each day that you put off to travel, the calling becomes louder and louder until you cannot bars the noise anymore. However, you knew that it was time to take up your arms and travel the dangerous lands, whether you come from a different land or not, you must go!

You come into view of a tower, decrepit, tall, and with spiraling structures protruding from the varying levels. In your trek into this country side, you have found no sign of civilization other than the small dirt road that has taken you there. This was the source of the voice. Maybe now, your mind may know some semblance of peace. But the sight of the tower leaves you uneasy, and it is still far away, several miles from what you can see. From your view upon the hill, you can see a long stretch of thick forest, however as you try to move forward, you are stopped by an invisible force.

The voice beckons you to stay until the others arrive, and you only wait for a little while, a mere few minutes between each person. The voice then says,

“Come, and hurry!”

With little time to properly introduce yourselves, you feel that it is best to talk about the subject on the way to the tower.

>Players may converse.
>Those who wish to hurry must do an Athletics check, but be weary, forests are dangerous and unpredictable at night.
