My friend I told you this before, it is you who shrugged off my comment.

I said it here.

Like I said, you can have a faction. Any character group is welcome, but there isn't connection to the rest of the Multiverse. If you need it, make it part of your faction home.

If you have several people in your faction you have more room and the like. Obviously NPCs don't count.

However, a group of people willingly sent is out of the question. Considering nobody knows about it. If they're a powerful and influential group, then they are already here.

Edit: Also there isn't much of a point yet, to try and make a unilateral storyline among characters who range from demigods to alien mindmasses isn't easy.

As of right now, this serves as a character building exercise. And once the setting is made, the story can be written.

The setting writes the story, my friend.
Once I'm awake and coherent, I'll be writing up the rules and stuff. Anyone who sees this before I get the rules up, you can go ahead and post your character sheets. It's fine, since there is not going to be a uniform character sheet.

Just be clear with what your character can do, and we'll be all right.
Locations:

Alexandria:
As time passed, a single city rose above the rest. Strangely enough it was spearheaded by Alexander the Great, oddly enough he went on to create a citadel that dwarfed any he had ever dreamed. This citadel drew other powerful men and women, around it formed a city that became the most important location in this world. By many it is considered the central hub of the world.

Its Alexandrian venues and streets with parallel rivers give it an otherworldly appearance. It is timeless in its beauty, with towers of marble concrete. A strange but beautiful creation of this world. Where marble was harvested and ground down, mixed with stone, white paint and tar. This strange off-white beauty makes these streets both sturdy and breathtaking.

As with any great city, there is a major center for commerse and trade. As well as restaurants, bars, and gentleman's clubs surrounding the trade center. As the Greats adapted to this world where language meant nothing, they came to accept this new life. Creating civilizations among their own kind. With great leaders spearheading every great citystate, there was little in the way of total war. Though constant skirmishes were wholesale, these people thriving on battle did so to entertain their violent tendencies.

As a major centralized city center, there are travelers from every corner of the world. Aliens and demigods, warlords and god emperors. Alexander's citystate became the home to so many cultures and societies. It was set to prosper eternally, and with Alexander unlikely to ever leave his seat as leader, this was the way things would remain.

Alexandria is pretty central, though it does lie north of the Equatorial ring of landmass. It is peninsular and only has borders on the southern end.

Shen's Tavern:
A regal high class tavern on the outskirts of Alexandria, this is home and business to the Pandaren man Liu. With beautiful oriental decor it draws the eyes of any who pass it, as it stands out sharply to the marble concrete of Alexandria. Popular for some of the more alcoholic or personable champions of the World of War, this has become somewhat of a social center. As with most taverns, its layout is simple and elegant. Though it is the victim of occasional rambunctious customers who become unruly and rowdy, letting out their drunken rage on the other customers.

The Crystal Desert:
Remnants from the Architect's construct world, when a tournament was hosted in that land it managed to leave the world in ruins. The former glory is now a haunting ruinous beauty, with spires of strange mottled black stone and crystal spires that jut outwards from the ground.

Tracts of glass from the battlegrounds of their tournament show the depth of power that these warriors wielded.

Warriors come here these days to test their mettle against one another on the former battlefield, using the enormous pillars of black stone and spires of crystal as cover or even as weapons if they've got the strength.

It is a battleground for hardy warriors who are comfortable in the sunbeating days and frigid cold nights, though one question remains unanswered.

If every location is the domain of a champion, whose domain is this?

Backfields:
The domain of the warrior Dunnaman, it is marked in the center by a crater and an empty grave. A strange location, even Dunnaman himself doesn't quite understand why this is the location that came with him.

It's pretty much your standard grassland location, though there is a large patch of dead grass and dry dirt surrounding the crater left behind by some unknown impact. There are a few sparse trees and a few of them look like they're recovering from damage that they took at one point in time. There are a few stumps and a makeshift log cabin here, Dunnaman is frequently seen here.

The log cabin is pretty simple with a icebox, table, chair and a bed in the corner. Y'know, simple stuff. Dunnaman fiercely defends his domain from invaders, though never actually offends anyone else. He doesn't stop others from fighting in his domain though.

It's about a mile long, it borders the Crystal Desert on the northern end.

Rules:

Standard T1 rules, if you need a guide to T1 and are new to the Arena, here is a link that gives a well written and detailed explanation on how T1 works. Click Here.

Honestly it's pretty simple.

However, there's a few extra rules for this.

1: Be incredibly clear with your charges. Do not pretend you don't know what I'm talking about, charging in the background of your post.

2: Rules of Engagement are as follows:
If you engage an opponent who is a tier higher than you are, you are allowed to bring a companion with you. However, if your opponent does not agree, the fight will not happen.

You may willfully engage an opponent who is a higher tier than you, as long as you agree that you will be at a disadvantage.

If you are multiple tiers lower than your opponent, you may bring along multiple companions. As long as all parties agree. As well, you can agree to fight them alone at a distinct disadvantage.

Factions are simple. To declare faction ownership, you must have at least three members as well you must describe a faction location.

Once these two requirements are met, it will be added to the world map.

Faction wars are dictated by all members of both parties.

Victories of faction members increase the size and world influence of the factions.
Losses of faction members decrease the size and world influence of the factions.

World influence is the draw for other characters to interract with your characters. The more world influence you have, the more dangerous you will be percieved.

Victory is a double edged sword, drawing too much attention to yourselft might bring numerous challengers. Probably, maybe. I might implement a point system or something.

The Tier List is pretty vague, though I figure you all know it pretty well. And if you do not, you can ask for an explanation. I added intermediary tiers between the normal tiers to give a bit more wiggle room.

Human

Low

Low Intermediate

Intermediate

High Intermediate

High

You can have a total of four active characters at a time.

Pretty standard, rules of engagement have already been listed.

Real simple stuff, just so long as folks aren't colossal assholes things don't really need much regulation.

Do try and have some range in your character's tiers, so not everyone is high or low. This is to give everyone a pretty fair chance at duking it out with everyone, y'know.

Way beyond the county of this here multiverse, uncountable hands raised in unison towards the twinkling distant star that contains all that is and ever will be. Time washed through and around them as waves lap across the shore, but they stood unmoving against the tide. As all reality came, went, and returned again they stood with hands outstretched through fathomless blackness.

From their will grew three bodies. A radiant star, the perfect main sequence star. A star guaranteed to evolve into a red dwarf as its life grew distant. A small body, so much like Earth in its beauty and splendor. They placed it perfectly in a diagonal orbit around the star, with its position in the ring of life as close to Earths as you can get. As well, they placed a small moon in orbit around this planet.

This was the ideal celestial form, so close to Earth's own. A pattern that so many planets in this sequence followed, no mere coincidence. Those in power followed this same pattern to create their own worlds, so too would these nameless watchers create their own.

As they continued with their creation, they changed the dimensions of this world. Placing the star and moon in the same orbit on opposing sides. Flattening the planet into a singular plane of existence. The star and satellite became concepts rather than celestial bodies, serving the same purpose but without the material need. They served as a conceptual solar and lunar placement. This would would need an unconventional system, as it would be far too large to have it follow conventional physics.

From every world that has ever existed and ever would they took cities of immense influence and natural landmarks. This world spread over the infinity of blackness, forming a world unlike any other. Cities of basalt and citadels of marble, roads of concrete and seas of blackness.

As continents rose from the world and waters poured into the gaps of the world, creating immense oceans that crashed against the formative shores. Changing the landscape even more as nature took its course. Creating natural shores on this patchwork world with the inexorable march of time. The cities would not crumble, held aloft by these machinations of higher beings.

With the world formed, they began setting laws of nature. Removing death as a factor, allowing those who die to be born again. Anew and unharmed where they were first brought to this world. Cities could rise and fall as influence grew and waned. So too could wars wage between these warriors so great. Men of brave heart could stand against one so wicked and powerful, if only for their own glory. With every defeat your influence diminishes, with every victory your influence grows. A system of rails ran underground to every major location, it would travel instantly.

But who would live in this world, this plane of conquest.

The comparisons to Valhalla were numerous.

Only those who are worthy may stay.

The Living Legends.
The Bygone Heroes.
The Unborn Kings.

They weaved their ministrations of magic so precise and powerful that those who they brought were never drawn from their homes. Doppelgangers or the real thing, none may know. Disconnected from their own realms of existence, they were brought to this world of war.

A land of conquest and splendor for only the greatest of beings.

This is where you come in.

Why are you here, who are you? This is for you to decide. You can leave behind the life that made you great and form anew, or live as you were before.

Conquerors have become pastors.

Heroes have become warlords.

Demons have become champions.

All stakes of life are welcome to stay the same or become anew in this.

The World of War.

I'm going to open up the Main Hub thread, so the people who ARE interested can join up with whatever characters they like. As well as get introduced to the world as a whole.

Maybe with some life in it, it will draw in some more people.
So his name is nutsack?

I cannot believe that he's named himself after a gamete organ.

Just say nutsack.

It was unfortunate for Gonad that LeeRoy wasn't the sort to look a gift horse in the mouth, Gonad had yet to actually attack him. The mightier than thou attitude was a queer one, but not unfamiliar to the scholar. Particularly due to his defacto rival being a holier/mightier/smarter than thou sort of person. Haunted by that sort person leaves you with the kind of fighting style that Gonad wouldn't particularly be happy to face. As such, LeeRoy was sitting upright with Gonad looming over him.

Advantageous to LeeRoy and Whores alike.

You made that pun at my expense.

Of course I did.

As the man stood from his crouch he lashed both of his arms towards Gonad's knees with palms wide open. A normal man can't easily perform this, wrapping your hand around a man's thigh is easily impossible for normal sized hands. LeeRoy's hands are thrice the size of a normal hand, and even Gonad's mighty knees were immune to their encompassing width and length. With a swift grab LeeRoy went to snatch Gonad's entire legs up from under him. Pulling up and backwards as he rose, aiming to drop Gonad's head to the ground with a singular motion. As well as lock his hand in place around Gonad's leg and roast it like a corpse in a crematorium.
