This world was still young. Even in it's infancy the world possessed many wonders.. numerous creatures inhabited it's vast oceans and forests.. it's towering mountains rising high into the sky and sometimes even belching fire. Damp marshes, dry deserts and huge oceans with distances beyond comprehension just a few of the amazing features that this world had to offer. It was rich in minerals, fertile in vegetation but most impressive of all were the many races of intelligent beings that called this world their home. They were young as well but even so were ambitious, like wild fire they spread out across the worlds surface, exploiting natural wonders for their own means in many different fascinating ways. They became a web of interconnected settlements, mines, outposts and forts. Thousands of these beings fought and died for honor, for country or for their own greed. Others profited in many noble (and not-so-noble) ways while others still desired adventure. These races created ships to sail the oceans, contraptions of all sort to attain their aspirations and slowly but surely this young world grew older and these races began to shape it to their own will..

Now I need you guys to help me decide which format our posts should be.

Bullet Points (Example Below)
Kingdom of Narnia

Diplomacy
* Traders from the Domain Guild have returned from their trip to the Saint Kingdom with two tons of rice.
* Etc. Etc.

Military
* Archers from the Archery Guild celebrate the graduation of new Rangers to their ranks. The Second Imperial Archer Squad has been formed of from these new men and women.
* Etc. Etc.

Etc. Etc.
Bullet points can be as long and as detailed you desire.

Typical Roleplay Post:
Jacob was proud of his little town. It felt like ages since he had sat on his roof as a child and watched the two or three carts rumble away on the few dirt trails that lead off into the horizon. Now as he sat in the same spot he had as a child, with a few more years under his belt her marveled at the several dozen covered wagons that banged and creaked along the cobblestone roads, dozens of horses and even men with backpacks and satchels all leaving to find riches in the neighboring Saint Kingdom. Etc. Etc.
The post can be one long continuous one or you can have multiple posts from multiple perspective. Traders, Soldiers, Kings etc.

OCC is up. Don't post in IC just yet. We just need to decide how posts will be formated. You can go ahead and submit settlement sheets in the OCC though.
Welcome to the world. This Nation-Roleplay will be GM-Moderated by myself using a tileset to create a world map to better illustrate the world the players create and manipulate. You can pick any typical fantasy race you desire to explore this new world, claim what you will, work with others or against them. It is the beginning of the Ages and all the races are in their earliest years of development, the time is right for the more motivated of them to forge their own destiny.

Settlement Sheet:
Name:
Race:
Population:
Color:
(Represents Borders etc.)
Symbol/Flag:
(Optional)
Starting Tile:
(This is the type of environment your starting town will be on.)
Biography/FunFacts:
(Optional)

Tileset for Reference:

(Farms are considered Villages as well, the first and smallest settlement you can establish after your initial starting town. They produce agricultural products.)
(The world is randomly generated but biomes will remain consistent. So if you settle a desert town, it's likely desert tiles will surround you in all directions for at least some distance.)

(These are just the initial tiles. More will be added and more can be made. For example, a player may establish a Fort or a Mining Outpost or Trading Post etc. to a tile and I can easily illustrate that.)

Basic Rules:
* Use The Declare/Post/Turn System described below.
* Do not automatically decide the outcomes of your actions or battles. This is decided by GM via dice rolls, number generators etc.
* Do not control other players holdings without their permission.

Declare/Turn/Post System:
In order to play and post this is the basic format for things to take place in.

Declare
Post "Declare" in the OCC thread. This informs everyone that you are writing up your post. (Mid-High Casual to Low Advanced)
Post
Write your post in IC and submit it. This is where you describe actions. Use reason in describing what you can and can't do. You can use a variety of different formats for your post. Detailed bullet points describing what your settlement does for example or In-Character roleplaying to give your actions a story. This can be debated a bit before we start to clear up confusion.
Turn
Once you have posted you may not post again until the next turn. Once all or a majority of players have posted the GM will declare, write his post and submit it. It will explain what your actions have caused, world events and have an updated world map.
Repeat
If any of you guys are interested I started another Roleplay -kinda- like this one but it's going to be a bit more structured with a "Declare OCC - Post IC" sort of system limited to one post per player and than a GM-administered Turn 1, Turn 2 etc.

So I sort of based this a bit off the board game Mighty Empires with some influences from Settlers of Catan.

Basically we'd be using this tile set to create our world. You can pick whatever fantasy race (or just human) and start off with a village. You explore the world, grow your empire, interact with other players and so on.

This is the tileset we'd be using:

I'd act as a GM. So you would make a turn and describe what your settlement does, once all or most of the players have posted than I will update the world map and decide the outcome of the players actions rewarding or punishing them when it seems reasonable to do so.

I'm looking for a Casual to perhaps Low-Advance level of writing and participation.
So, I had no idea when I made this that it'd be such a fast or popular roleplay so there is no way I can keep up with it and make illustrations.

But you guys seem to be having fun so by all means continue :P I just can't follow along fast enough while at work or when I'm sleeping to make enough pictures fast enough for what's happening.
Okay, I posted so you guys should be good to go.
The trials they faced as they crafted a world from scratch were numerous. One of the more creative had decided to carefully craft lush vegetation and animals to inhabit the surface of the planet but promptly burst to flames or died immediately of an unknown cause. Inhospitable, barren and hot the environment did not seem to suit these plants and creatures.

Though these beings that could instantly create and sculpt the universe around them were powerful alone it became evident that when they stood together they could truly accomplish amazing feats that ordinarily a tunnel-visioned God perhaps could not have imagined on their own. The first example of these was the creation of another rocky, barren sphere that orbited the Earth.

The Moon was created, though it did little to stop the burning rays of the Sun from scorching their precious Earth. The conversation amongst these Gods continued for some time on how to support the beautiful creatures and flora the other brother so desperately desired to inhabit their blessed Earth. It was the Moon which created enough admiration from one of the others that he attempted to create his own imitation.. unfortunately it was not as divine as the first and quickly crumbled.. the chunks formed large, rocky bodies that floated aimlessly around the universe which on occasion would strike the Sun, Stars or even the Moon and Earth. It seemed the second Moon was a failure until something amazing happened as the essence and spirt of the Moon enveloped the Earth in a protective atmosphere that shielded it from the Sun and slowly but surely the planet began to cool.

The atmosphere was doing a marvelous job of protecting the planet as well as harnessing elements that previously escaped. Oxygen. Now the creatures could breath but only the toughest of them could survive the still barren planet. It was watching their suffering yet another God gave the gift of water. Oceans, Lakes, Rivers and so forth that began to cool the Earth to lessen the creatures suffering.. the water gave new life to the trees, plants and grass and animal species began to inhabit the world in numbers untold.

Cooperation continued as they saw the rewards of their combined effort. The Moon created tides, regulating the waves of the oceans. Other created rain and storms to refresh the creatures and planets and another God yet created Clouds to traffic this moisture.. more creatures still were created out of the imaginations of these beings.. violent weather patterns were created which cleansed the landscape to be recreated anew.

Though beautiful this world had become these beings longed for something.. and slowly but surely they again began to plot and contemplate their greatest creation yet..
Hmm. I wasn't updated to ANY of these posts in my subscription feed.

No one post for now while I update the universe.

Also, Pathfinder what did you just create with that last post?
