Bio

My name is Liar and I have been roleplaying for over a decade. My hobbies include reading, writing, roleplaying, and fan fiction.

I am currently working as a freelance editor, looking over various manuscripts and making sure the quality is well enough to be published. However, I am also attending university for a Political Science degree (I have already earned an English and Psychology degree).

My current plans are to join the United States Marine Corps. as an officer and establish a military career. From there, I hope to expand my influence wide enough to the point that I am able to take over the country.

Sorry for the lateness. This week has been crazy with school ending and all that.
@Hexaflexagon
My apologies, Hex. It's getting too late for me to complete my character. Have no fear, I'm nearly finished. I thought I might as well warn you. I wouldn't want my placement to be skipped over because I remained silent.

@Enzayne
I think I might make my character have a crush on yours just for fun.
Seeing how morally ambiguous everyone is, it's almost like I'm being led to make the token honorable character.
Don't worry, I'm here and working on a character sheet as we speak.

I was a tad busy over the weekend due to real life obligations.
Update

To those still crafting your CSs please take your time and please not feel rushed. To those that are done and dwelling about I have a few questions that I shall shoot out at this moment. Just an informal thing at the moment to gauge some things. It also gives us a chance to maybe get to know one another all a little better. You are in no way shape or form obligated to answer but if you do I would appreciate it!

  • Would you prefer for the party to already been grouped together for some time or more recently acquainted?
  • Do you often putter about in the OCC of the Rps you are in, or would you prefer if I set up an IRC client?
  • Your current Time Zone.
  • How active can see yourself in the coming future in regards to this RP?
  • What you believe to be the perfect ratio of action to plot development
  • Your comfortable average post length at the advance level.
  • Your Favorite Movie
  • Your Favorite Book

I would prefer if every character is at least acquainted with one another. At the moment they should at least consider each other as comrades, but hasn't taken the steps to form a close bond yet.

I'm more comfortable chatting in the OOC. It sounds like a hassle getting on IRC.

U.S. Central Time for me.

I could spare to post daily if there is some level of activity, but I can at least post once a week.

I prefer a good balance that creates an intriguing narrative. Action is fine, but I'm not here because I want to write about how X character killed X monsters in the most X way possible.

As for post length, that is something to consider isn't it? Having been roleplaying for over a decade, I've come to hold onto the belief that quality defeats quantity. What's the point of writing five paragraphs if it's filled with nothing but useless fluff? It's a mistake I've seen others make so often. I rather write something that flows and is coherent to the character and story even if it's only one paragraph. I refuse to write something like a character uselessly pondering over the meaning of life if all he's being asked if he wants an apple. In any case, the short answer would be I can post three paragraphs minimum if you want me to unless it's a simple dialogue exchange with another character.

My favorite movie is Princess Mononoke.

My favorite book is this biographical book on Napoleon Bonaparte.
@Hexaflexagon
That is actually an apt explanation. Thanks for that. I'll try to write a character up as soon as possible.
@Hexaflexagon
What would you say is the real world equivalent of the Niratrem Empire? I was thinking of creating a character that is more crafty than strong, and I was wondering if personal strength is sought more highly than any other trait in its military.
I'm genuinely interested as well.

I think I'll make some sort of ambitious human from humble origins that wants to take over the world.
My apologies, I did say I would be gone, but I didn't realize it would take so long.

In any case, I think I'm waiting on the other to reply to me. I'm kind of stuck in stasis at the moment, ha ha.
Nacht pondered over Bonum’s suggestion—the White Knight knew better than to think he can order him after all. His idea had merit and would make for a good start on their task. Nacht glanced at his surroundings, filing away the minute details of this particular starting city. Dural Cairn was not spectacular by any means. He had conquered several cities that were the jewel of their neighbors. This city was nothing. However, it was nothing with a purpose. It served as a starting ground for many beginners.

Generic, Bonum’s suggestion was too generic, thought Nacht. It was a good start and, normally, even his best agents would have started with the same kind of idea. However, anyone can think it. Beginners plagued the marketplace and library of any city. The Monster Café was meant to be hidden, away from the prying eyes of adventurers. Putting the information in those two areas only risked having idiotic newbies find the place and charge in the café to cause a ruckus.

Underneath his bandana, Nacht smirked. Turning to Bonum, he announced, “Your idea holds merit, but it’s too obvious. We’re in a beginner city. Those two places are where beginners go all too often. Why risk an information leak there? We need to head to the underworld. We need to talk to the lowest of the low, the scummiest of the scum, if we want our information.”
