Chinatsu Hon
Konoha Team 6

As soon as she saw the kunai she sent out three arrows in rapid succession at the same time Chinatsu's crow clone had just now appeared from behind them and had a kunai out at ready position. It all happened so fast she barely had time to process what everyone was saying and scrambled over to her clone as quickly she could. "Help Akira!" Chinatsu ordered her clone. Her clone nodded and darted over to him to help with Hiroshi-Sensei. But the real Chinatsu ran forwards determined to find the traitor herself and had little care for her own safety. She had her bow and arrow at ready as she looked around not too far from the others. Chinatsu whipped around as she looked for someone, anyone and the need to shoot someone was beginning to resurface.

She decided to go back to wait for Hirudora and Sayuri before continuing on the search. Jogging back in the direction she came it wasn't too long before she found the group in the smoke still. "Change of plans! Akira stay here and play nurse for Hiroshi-Sesnei. Hirudora, Sayuri and I will go on to look for the traitor. Is that okay with you Hirudora? And Akira, if anything else happens to him it's on you," Chinatsu said. She looked to the summon and then to Sayuri, gesturing for them to continue. She felt comfortable with leaving Akira because her clone was also staying behind and so there wasn't too much room for error.

"Ready?"

After hearing what her Sensei told Hirudora and the conversation between her two team mates she felt uneasy. If they were ambushed everything could go down hill really quickly with very little time to prepare and it could be fatal. She reached for her bow and pulled it from the sling it that attached it to her back and used her other hand to grab an arrow. In a second or two later she had her arrow knocked and prepared to fire at a moments notice. "Sayuri, do you want to put a seal on my arrows like we did last time?" Chinatsu asked. At the moment she didn't want to leave anything or anyone out so she glanced over at Akira. "Akira..." she started to say but she was having trouble coming up with a role he could play. "Akira follow Sayuri's lead and try not to get yourself killed. A dead team mate is worse than a living annoying one and it's also very inconvient," Chinatsu said.

It would look like she was still trying to be harsh towards him but in her own way she was also showing that she did care even if it was a little bit. Chinatsu looked forwards and held her bow at the ready in case she needed to attack. It was an odd feeling, she was both excited and scared for what was ahead of them. She was glad Sayuri was here and she was also sort of glad Akira had joined their team. "I am hunter.." Chinatsu told herself. It became a mantra in her head as she repeated silently to herself over and over again to ease her nerves. She was human, despite her elusive personality Chinatsu also felt nervous and uneasy when in uncertain situations.

A Reflective Time to Bond

Shiro was curled up on the bed next to Shisen as she laid in the hospital bed and stared up at the ceiling. Arashi was asleep and probably dreaming about chasing flaming bunnies. Though Shsien was unsettled and it was because Arashi had gotten hurt in the match against Masami Hyuuga. She had lost the match and it wouldn't be so bad if she had not allowed her ninken to get hurt. A minor injury wasn't a big deal but the injury had stunned and paralyzed the ninken which was a huge deal. Shisen thought she failed in protecting her ninken from harm and it was weighing heavily on her. Even though Arashi was almost back to normal and didn't seem to care about the injury.

She sat up in bed and decided she couldn't just lay in bed anymore. Getting up she woke up both ninken and whistled to get them to follow her out of the hospital room she was in. Some nurses were startled by Arashi and others wanted to pet Shiro but Shsien didn't let them. The small white ninken needed to be treated like a ninken and not a companion animal like most canines were. In the beginning Shiro needed to learn to only trust and allow Shisen to touch her until she was ready to be in a team. Once they were outside they found an open area where Shisen pulled out a ball which she kept with her to help with Shiro's training. "Alright you two, get the ball," Shisen said, as she threw the ball. She watched as the ninken raced after the ball and laughed as Shiro tripped over one of Arashi's paws before she could reach the ball.

Arashi was now heading towards Shisen with the ball in her mouth and her head was held high with pride from having the ball. Shiro raced towards the older ninken and jumped up onto Arashi's back like she was clinging to her. Shisen laughed and shook her head with a small smile. She watched as Arashi tried to shake the smaller ninken off but the small one held on rather tightly with her claws and fangs. Arashi dropped to the ground and began to roll over to get Shiro away but Shiro let go and darted towards the ball as she pawed at Arashi. Finally the older ninken let go of the ball and the smaller one was able to get it before darting off towards Shisen. A second later Arashi caught up and grabbed Shiro by the scruff of her neck. Now Arashi was padding back to Shisen and when she got there the older ninken dropped Shiro. Then used her right paw to shove Shiro at Shisens feet.

Shisen laughed at how Arashi presented her 'ball' to Shisen as Shiro chewed on the actual ball. Shiro was presented as an offering and shaking her head. Shisen picked Shiro up and held the small white ninken up so she was eye level with her. "You're a mess," Shisen told the ninken.

Chinatsu was still a bit angry with Akira. She didn't like him much and he didn't seem to try to change that. But she didn't care about him, she would help Sayuri and Hiroshi along with Hirudora as she knew to respect them as her team mates. Chinatsu didn't consider Akira to her team mate and she didn't need some nobody genin on her team. She had a member of her own clan on her team as her Sensei which was nice and she had a Cho on her team which was also nice. Akira came from a lesser known and renowned clan, it only made sense that he was below the three of them. Hirudora was well respected summon of her Sensei and Chinatsu was sure she had great stories about their victories.

Chinatsu decided to train twice as hard as she was now in order to continue being on the top of her team because anything less was not acceptable to her. She was set on being the leader and nothing could stop her from her goal. She even had her own little helper who was waiting to help the process along. Chinatsu didn't pay any attention to Akira as he spoke to Sayuri.

At first she was confused about what he did, trying to trap him was also not on her list of good ideas even if they were going after someone dangerous. "It will be more than likely that an animal sets off the smoke than the traitor," Chinatsu said, her tone was stressed but not harsh. She could grant him something for his efforts but just showing an effort would not be enough to sustain her satisfactory with her new team mate. His comment about getting worked up grated on her, her eyes narrowed and for approximately five seconds she thought about shooting him. But she didn't think that Hiroshi-Sensei would approve such an action, so she simply glared at him.

"I am not worked up, however if you wish to see what happens when I am feel free to be my target and rest assured, I don't miss," Chinatsu said icily. Although she did agree with him that they needed to back to patrol and focus more, that much was obvious. Upon hearing what Hiroshi-Sensei said over the ear communicator, she nodded and wasted no time in heading back in the direction they had come. Even when she heard Akira speak up, she could only scoff. "No need for that, we will pick the pace up double time." she said, calmly and glancing at the disappearing Akira. He was cutting across but that was unknown territory and risky, and she chose to keep her own path. But she didn't feel like it was a good idea to leave him on his own, so she performed the needed hand signals for her clone and told it to go with him. "Be there soon, Hisroshi-Sensei," she said. Keeping the same pace before increasing it gradually.

Chinatsu stayed behind Akira, not to try to hurt him but in case he missed something or if he was in need of help. She also thought this was a good time to clear the air of any ill feelings they might harbor towards the other so she sighed. "You need to trust me, even if you don't like me," Chinatsu said, her tone was flat. "Besides, I'm a female and if two females can handle giant spiders then a single male can handle them just as easy," she said. With a sigh, she began to think of a stanza for her poetry and shook her head.

Hirudora stopped for a moment, raising her head and sniffing the air before continuing on with the two genin right behind her. "I do but it's very faint, not a good one for tracking," the tiger said, the pace they were going at was not that slow but not that fast either. The tiger stopped again, then took off in a hurry as the genin ran to keep up with the great strides of the tiger. "Be on your guard! I might have the lead!" she called to them and ran onwards. It would seem that they were a good distance away from where they started now as they ran after Hirudora. A good five minutes later, Hirudora stopped and hissed before turning to the genin. "The scent is gone now, the lead went dead," Hirudora said.

Clenching her fist, Chinatsu started to pace back and forth in her frustration.

Last Minute Thoughts and Hopes

She stood still, her heart beating faster than she thought possible and her ears were ringing. Arashi seemed calm, she sat on the right of Shisen and was carrying Shiro by the scruff of her neck. Even though the young ninken was not participating in the exams, she thought it was a good idea to bring her to watch the matches. Her guardians, the old couple who she lived with, would watch Shiro during her match and keep her calm as well. Her thoughts left the ninken, going back to the name that was called out, the name of her opponent.

Masami Hyuuga

Shisen thought of Ezuri, who was also a Hyuuga and knew that the small bit of information she had on him would also apply to Masami. Both had the same Kekei Genkai, striking the opposing persons chakra points and stopping the circulation of chakra. There was doubt that her opponent would rely on the Kekei Genkai and would much prefer to fight up close, within striking distance. Most of her offensive jutsu was also tai jutsu, brute force and speed. Taking a deep breath, she looked around and saw the field she would be fighting on, nothing out of the ordinary except the clouds above it. What chakra nature did Masami have?

Shisen frowned, trying to form a basis of a plan that did not have her so close to her opponent. If possible, could she stay at a distance from Masami? No, she couldn't do that. She needed to be able hit and barrel into her opponent, but still keep the close range fighting to a minimum unless she could eliminate the Kekei Genkai from factoring in. Shisen hoped that she knew enough to make herself noticeable and that maybe her opponent was weaker than Ezuri, although it probably wasn't possible.

The old coule finally showed up, putting a leash on Shiro and taking her to an area where they could safely watch the matches. Leaving both Shisen and Arashi to think more on the soon approaching match. "No turning back now Arash," Shisen murmured. Arashi lifted her head and then huffed her agreement, barking a couple times before yawning loudly.

Her Decision

As she watched Shiro dart around the small room happily and Arashi napping next to the bed, she thought of the Chuunin exams. There was sure to be someone with considerable strength, someone who could make her look like nothing and she knew that there would be nothing she could do about it. It would be harsh, no doubt about that but it would also be a good experience or so she was told. But she was not sure that it was wise to bring both ninken, especially considering that Shiro was just a puppy still and Arashi was way more experienced. Yet Shiro was very well trained for her age, obedient and disciplined but still she was young. Arashi on the other hand, she was experienced and old enough to the point that she would be able to easily recover from assaults but she was aggressive. Sometimes losing control if she felt threatened, which she would certain to feel in the exams, however she was loyal. Loyalty was a good thing, Arashi trusted no one but Shisen and soon she would trust Shiro just as much.

Shiro was also excited, but still exhibited some behavior that concerned Shisen, she still saw the need to chase after small animals and run to others even if that person was the enemy. That behavior was dangerous, it could get her killed but she also showed restraint, which Arashi struggled in when angered and that was a good thing. Arashi was pure aggressive power, relentless like a full blooded wolf while Shiro was just happy to play and let something be, she wasn't sure of some things. There was no doubt in her mind that once Shiro grew out of her dangerous puppy behaviors then she would be formidable ninken but for now, she had to wait. "Shiro, I think it's best for you to sit this one out, sweet girl," Shisen said, the little white ninken barked happily and Arashi huffed, voicing her indifferent opinion. The small white ninkens head peeked over the side of the bed and beamed at Shisen, who smiled and picked her up.

Katsumi FÅ«ryoku
Kumo Anbu
Returning From the Land of Snow!

Katsumi stood at the gates of the Land Of Snow, a blank expression on her face as the 17 other Anbu agents assembled themselves in front of her. "Are we ready to depart back to Kumogakure now?" Katsumi asked, meeting the eyes of every Anbu in the area. A chorus of yes ma'ams and nods erupted from the previously quiet Anbu agents, with a nod of her own, she turned to face outwards. "Let us go then," She instructed, not wasting a second as she was off the next second. The teams of Anbu behind her, most surrounded the diplomat and a few others fanned out to scan for any signs of danger.

For the first few hours everything was normal, nothing stood out as dangerous or unclear so they continued on another few hours. "Wait! Please stop!" the diplomat yelled, he had stopped and was bent over trying to catch his breath. He was swarmed with Anbu, trying to figure out what the danger was but here wasn't any. Katsumi narrowed her eyes, walking over to the diplomat with a stony expression.

"What's the problem?" Katsumi demanded to know, her eyes still narrowed at the diplomat. Even though it was clear the only problem was his inability to keep up with them. "We are trying to get back in a timely fashion, if there isn't a real problem then I would prefer you not to stop us," she said, her tone was firm and cold. It didn't leave any room for arguing, it had also shut the diplomat up and looked to have to intimidated him. He nodded, bowed his head as Katsumi walked away from him and started the trek again.

Several Hours Later

The gates to the Village Hidden in the Clouds came into view finally, with a relieved sigh, Katsumi sprinted the last few hundred meters into the village. Taking a deep breath, she breathed in a breath of the villages scent and all the familiar scents it offered. "Escort the diplomat back to his home, I have to alert the Raikage of our arrival and how the mission went," Katsumi said, not waiting for a reply as she was off in the next second. Heading to the Raikages office, she wondered if he would approve of how she led the mission and if anyone had told him of their progress already.

Her thoughts also drifted to the strange man who had tried to steal the gift, was it a mistake to let them live? Would he resurface with tells of a merciful Anbu? Was he afraid that he would wake up to his family dead? There were so many questions, yet she wasn't sure if she wanted to know the answers to them. She wasn't even sure why she didn't kill him, maybe it was because she remembered what it was like to have a mother at the age of the little girl or maybe she just didn't want to spend time killing the family.
